This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Man. Valparaiso and Merrillville locations here have ZERO clearance games. Only things I've seen are HD Radios and other useless junk in those sections.

I checked the closeouts at Target in Beaverton, OR. The only console game I saw was 4 copies of X360 NCAA 08 for $7.48.

In the PC section they had 3 copies of Turning Point, Fall of Liberty for $3.74, if I had a pc that would run it I would have grabbed it for sure, even with the iffy reviews.

They're not supposed to sell it at all once it's out of the system. I've been told that this is Target policy at several stores. Not all employees seem to know or care, though.

Ummmmmm $50 off or 12.5% is hardly 50% off let alone 75% off. The day you see a Bluray player for $200 is a year or two away.

No, if no one buys it at Target it would hit 50% off eventually. That is how Target works.

Normal price might have been $499 (since 30% off is $350)

Target has two main markdown schedules: 15% then 30% and finally 50% or 30%-50-75. I find with more expensive electronics like tvs, computer monitors, or digital cameras and such they use the 15% schedule which means they could only ever reach 50% off if they last that long...and they usually don't. I've seen this blu-ray player at 15% off at a couple of stores.

A nice Sony flat panel actually dropped to 30% after the 15% once and I think someone got it at 50% because it hung around long enough and was gone the day it would have hit 50%. The BR players jumped straight to 30% here, but that doesn't mean they're not on the 15% schedule as I remember when some games, PS2 memory card 2pack and 360 arcade stick all started at 30% here and then got salvaged after 50% off.

Yea I played the TP: FoL demo on Xbox Live and it was quite unfantastic. Cool premise but the gameplay was pretty bad. Clunky controls and graphics weren't there.

Went to a Target store today that I had never been to (40 miles from home), and found two copies of Heavenly Sword for $29.98 each. Not sure why they weren't $14.99 like some of you found them for, but after getting it home and playing it I can honestly say it was worth $30...fun game.
Also saw a ton of copies of Timeshift for $9.98 (didn't buy) and a copy of Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 for $4.98 (bought). If anyone is interested in the extra copy of Heavenly Sword for cost+ship, let me know.

I tried out Heavenly Sword during the $29.99 'sale' from Gamestop from the 11th to the 17th and while I did like it, it left something to be desired.

I mean, what kind of action game doesn't have a friggin' jump button? I would've liked to have been able to jump up and string together some aerial combos to send enemies flying, but then it would've been a true God Of War clone.

All in all, decent game, but I took it back before the 7 day return period after playing it for maybe 2 hours. I wasn't that impressed with it. #

As for why I bought it from GS, it's because at least 2-3 motherers keep cleaning out my Target and Sears around here, leaving me with games I'd never want.

Yeah. Some Targets and the Walmart in my area had some of the new Clone Wars line out since the beginning of the week. I still haven't checked on the Rancor for a price drop (probably missed out). I did pick up a SW:FU lightsaber for $4.98, a couple of Galactic Heroes 2-packs for $1.4x and some 2 figure SW packs (Target exclusive) for $2.48.

On the gaming front... the Targets in my area are all cleaned out except for Spyro PS2 and a couple of pc games. The toy clearance endcaps are full though.

Same here, I havent been able to find anything at the 2 targets around here, and there's one that even opened up about a month ago, but I dont expect anything from that one, not yet anyways.
