This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

i'm not quite sure either. although, if these games ever do find themselves to be the listed clearance price, the named stores have numerous copies of each game i referred to, especially the rowland heights one.

Dammit I stopped by Target on the way home and the few copies of RE:UC have vanished. There was a red clearance tag on the rack in the glass case where they were. They went from unmarked a couple days ago to gone today. I saw a few copies of Metroid and Bully for the Wii marked down to $34.xx.

I was the first to report FFT A2 for $27.98. It had a clearance sticker AND scanned as $27.98. If yours is ringing up as $39.99, then that means you have to wait until (or if) your Target will clearance it. If you haven't noticed, Target clearances can be YMMV.

DCPI for FFT A2 is 207 02 0485.

I don't know about others, but I always scan a game before I report its price here. Just going by stickers can be misleading sometimes.

Yeah, I found FFTA2 on clearance today at one store in south Indy, but not the other. One store (31 and National) had tons of FFTA2, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and Pokemon Diamond/Pearl all for 30% off. The other (135 and Smith Valley) had 47 copies of Madden '08 for PS2, and not much else. FFTA2 was NOT clearanced there, nor was it even marked NCF.

Same here, since while everyone was saying that K&L was clearance in their areas, the stores here told me they 'accidentally put it on clearance' and then took it off clearance and put it back UP to full price.

These were clearanced at some stores a few months back. CAGs scored them for anywhere between $15-$25. I was lucky to find one. I'd guess this is big time YMMV at this point.

Some Targets lag behind in clearance pricing for some reason. Mine for example lags one to three weeks behind when markdowns are first posted here. There's obviously different tiers of stores when it comes to markdown timing.

Also, did you get the games scanned, or just ask if they were marked down? Some stores just don't keep up with the ticketing.
