This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I had never seen The Simpsons for Wii at my local Targets so I just went ahead and bought the last copy (50% off). Bourne Conspiracy dropped to $29.98 but UT3 held at $19.98.
 
I returned a copy of Condemned 2 for $20, and picked up a new one for $10 today. I saw them at two places in Beaverton, OR, and they each had a fair number of copies.

One store was out of Kane & Lynch, the other one still had it for $20.

I picked up the Professor Layton game, but decided to hold off on FFT2.
 
Multiple 20 GB 360 HD's at my local Target for $25 as well. They finally *tagged* them this week. For the last three weeks, they've just had the red half-circle "CLEARANCE" marker on the hook.

I wish I knew someone who was getting an Arcade, that price is a steal.

Man, busy Target day yesterday apparently. I finally grabbed a Boogie (wii) that dropped to $9.98 and a Smackdown vs Raw 2008 (wii) that dropped to $7.48. About time on those - they sat there forever. The mid-week drops from last week that I saw (Battle of the Bands, Simpsons Game) were still at their $20.98 prices.

PH at that price has my interest piqued. It's no $15 at Radioshack, but I have Target gcs, so it makes more sense to buy it there.

Also, good job on picking up Professor Layton for that cheap. I bit at $24 myself, but it's a good game at just about any price.

I'll try to find Layton at that price though my Target has been slow with the markdowns. FFTA2 maybe as well.

fuck. That would be a great haul with each at %50 off retail. I'm going to hit a bunch of stores Wednesday trying to find each of those.
 
Stopped by 2 Targets this morning looking for Condemned 2...nothing. Oh well, guess I'll stick with the copy I have now.

I did however pickup the last Creative Zen Stone Plus I was waiting for to drop again for $13.47
 
St. Louis Park, MN has no Condemned 2 as of last night. Grabbed the last two for myself (one is for a friend whose birthday is in two weeks), no DS blowouts listed above and one copy of Kane & Lynch left for PS3.
 
Bay Shore, NY Target has a few Condemned for $10 and about 5 20gb HDD for $25... didnt get either, but i thought i'd give the heads up.

Does anyone know if Call of Duty 4 is actually on clearance for PC? I saw 2 copies there.
 
Here's a quick question. So, I realize that a $x.x8 price means that the item can be further reduced and that a $x.x4 indicates the very last price a product will be, but is it common for Targets to throw away/good will the items before reaching the $x.x4 price point?

They are supposed to send it back to the manufacturer for credit like Sears does. I discussed it with a manager at Target one day. He said 30 - 50% off up until 75% and then after that it goes Out of System and should be returned to the manufacturer. If you find any new games in the dumpster, be sure to let us know.

Just happened to me as well! Neither the cashier scanner nor the handheld sticker said it was in the system, but the guy said he could only sell it to me for $49.99.
 
I went to two targets and both did not have it in their system, and would not budge from the shelf price of 50$. If anyone can find me a copy i would very much appreciate it. I would pay ship or even just take the cd key at the very least. I am looking for 2; friend wants one as well. I'll take one if thats to selfish.

Wow, my Target has clearly not updated their price tags in a while, some of their "clearance" prices are like 2 to 3 bucks above the games current retail price everywhere else.
 
Picked up Bully (Wii) for 12.48 today, GRiD was still 41.98 as was about 20 copies of Scene It for 360, when that drops to 29.98 ill be sure to pick it up.

I was shocked to find some of these deals at my local Target (Phillipsburg, NJ)

Scored:

Condemend 2 (360) $9.98
The Club (360) $12.48
Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3) $9.98

No sign of Kane & Lynch, and the 20GB HDs were wiped out. Still, I'm a happy camper. I rented The Club a while ago and loved it. Told myself if were ever a budget title I'd pick it up again. Condemned 1 was a blast, and a UT title for $10 is pure insanity.

I went to Target tonight and they had Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit for the PS3 on clearance for $30. The Xbox 360 version was on clearance too, but for $41. I thought it was a bit odd so I talked to the guy at the desk and he checked the price on the 360 version to make sure it was correct and it was.

I tried to talk him down as far as the PS3 version but I didn't have any luck. Hopefully they mark it down as low at the PS3 price soon though.
 
I went to 4 Targets today. I finally caved in and got a 360.

The Target in Bedford, OH had next to nothing in terms of clearance stuff. Macedonia, OH was the same--very little clearance items. I went back to the Mayfield Hts. store today and got two 360 games--Pop Cap Vol. 1 ($4.98; 1 copy left) and Bully ($7.48; last copy). They had no 20 GB HDDs for the 360, which was a deal breaker...until they found out the Willoughby store had 3 left at the start of the day, at $24.98. When I called, they had one left. I told them to hold it and I'd get it in 30 mins. I got the last 20 GB HDD...and a 360 Arcade system.

I shouldn't do such instinct purchases. Time to get this bad boy set up and see how it is...
 
Target on 124th and Capitol in Milwaukee had 3 Wii fits if someone is looking for them.

I saw Bourne Conspiracy PS3 and Lost Odyssey for $29.98 each....almost caved in. No luck finding any other worthwhile games, but tons of mp3 players (sony & creative) are 50% off ($20 thru $50 range after markdown). Gonna scope some otherTargets this week.

I saw both of these at the store closest to me. If I hadn't just bought the Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset on clearance at Office Max for $25 I probably would've picked up the Warhawk bundle.
