This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Yes, there are exceptions: there are two Targets within a quarter mile of each other here, and yesterday I found the same clearance items (non-gaming) marked lower at what I'm pretty sure is the higher volume store.

Of course, maybe the volume that matters is the volume of that product or category, more so than the overall store volume.

For any MN CAGs I just called the Bufallo Target, the guy said they have about 50 Scene It's for 15. But the St. Cloud Target only has 1 GTA4 and its still 45.

Lat night, I picked up the last 2 copies of Grid 360 at the Target in Long Beach, CA (Cherry & 91). I'm surprised that they were still there since they were tagged correctly in the glass case.

The Target On Bellflower Bl. (close to the 405) has 2 copies of Lost Odyssey tagged at $41.98 in the glass case. I checked the DPCI on the scanner and it came up at $14.98. They also had 2 copies of GTA:SE 360 but they were $62.98.

Yeah, this is highly unlikely. If someone snags one below $10 it was a return or a hidden copy an employee discovered. The game is well-worth $15 IMHO.

Agreed. At $15 bucks it seems like a steal. I bought it and you get the game, 4 big button controllers, and 8 batteries for the controllers. If anything, you could buy it just for the batteries, haha.

Yes. I go to Target quite often. The "next gen" games that drop to $14.98 go pretty quickly.

Just an example. I had a target around here where Kingdom of Fire for the 360 dropped to $9.98. I don't recall it being on clearance at all until then. I picked up a copy of about 20 that were there. The next day all of them were gone. Probably not to "shoppers" but to a reseller. If you see any next gen game at $14.98 and want it, buy it. It's not going to last long in most cases unless it's a sports game or one of those Naruto or Dragon Ball games.

Buzz: Hollywood is $9.98 on clearance at TRU but it is the game only. That's just a heads up, you might be able to buy a $9.98 bundle at Target and a $9.98 Buzz game at TRU. That way you get 2 games and buzzers for what you would've paid for the Hollywood bundle.

Usually, depending on the game or the item. Games USUALLY go from $41.98 to $29.98 to $14.98 to $7.98 and that's it. However, some games like UTIII and Frontlines have stayed at the same price in most stores for the past month, so it's hard to say.

Anyone have any idea what games will be on clearance for this week? I'm hoping Frontlines finally drops to $14.98. That's the only one I've been waiting on.

2. Copy the UPC number.
3. Generate the bar code at upcdatabase.com

Only thing I found not on the list was one copy of a PC game called Rhem 3 for $7.xx.

Dunno if I was too early, but it appears there were no new drops at the Valparaiso Target. However, I did see they got Blitz: The League II. I don't think the Merrillville store had any when I dropped by on Saturday. Needless to say, I will be keeping an eye out on that one for a clearance drop.
