This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Thanks for the updates-- also to the above poster in AZ also for letting me know that they had Pure at the Tempe location. I'm going to swing by there later to try to pick it up if it has dropped to 14.98.
Also glad to hear the wireless wheels are down to 24.98. Going to check store's pricing and try to do a return/rebuy. It's worth it to try to get 25 bucks back.

Just Picked up Naruto Ultimate Collection PS2 for $7.48 and saw Guitar Hero II ( Game Only ) 360 for $20.98 , that made me laugh !

2 x Battlefield: BC - $12
2 x Lego Indiana - $12
Gears of War Refresh - $10

They had a bunch more Lego Indianas left, and a ton of GOW on the shelf still. Was tempted to get another Gears for trade, if anyones interested.

Edit: Damnit though, I desperately wanted a NG2 but I can't find a copy left anywhere in my area!

I posted, last week, that the Costa Mesa Target had about 30 copies of DMC4 (360) for 14.98. Not sure if they are still available, on my way to Target anyway so I'll update when I return.

Sorry, but I snagged the last one. Not at Tempe Marketplace, but the one on Frye road in Chandler by the wall. Also got the last Ninja Gaidens for a friend and myself.

The reason why I bypassed Tempe Marketplace was that I called and gave the receptionist the DPCI. Luckily, she was going to check it for me (This way, the dude(s) in Electronics don't find out) and she came back saying it was a clearance item and it was all sold out. I inquired about the price and she said, "Since it's sold out, the price doesn't come up. Sorry." She was flat out lying to me about that, or somehow messed up the simple process of checking a price. I wanted to tell her, "Listen bitch, I run the Target clearance thread on CAG, maybe you've heard of it..."

Hope you have better luck, and I'll be sure to PM you if I happen to run across a Pure.

Seems like a good week for price drops...

Saw Pure (360) for $14.98 (already had PS3 so passed), bought Gears of War (refresh) for $9.98 (not usually into shooters but figured for $10 it's at least worth checking out) and Beijing Olympics (360) for $12.48 (FINALLY, I've been watching this game at 2 different Targets for over a month-- this was the last copy left in either-- I know it'll mostly suck but I'm a sucker for Olympic games for some reason).

The 50 Ratchet and Clanks are STILL $29.98. And I'm still annoyed the 5-10 Ninja Gaidens and CivRevs disappeared at the $29.98 point. (and every DMC4 I've seen for 360 is still $41.98). I also noticed the 3 additional Transformers PS3 I saw Saturday were gone, so glad I grabbed mine.

But it seems like this week has been a big week for markdowns, so it's worth going. Maybe they'll be more aggressive leading up to Christmas? Although it seems like the Clearance areas at both of the Targets I routinely check are shrinking so maybe they're just trying to wrap up the "fall" stuff before they need to start post-Christmas clearances?

It just opened a couple months ago.
Just south of the Holiday station on the west side of 101.
They closed down the Elk River store.
Be ready for a shock as you head up 101 and see off ramps instead of left turn lanes.

Also you can score Uncharted at the Harmar Target for $29.xx. I'll back up others is saying that it is worth that price and even better if you can score it at $14.xx.

Speedy posted that Ninja Gaiden 2 is posted in Target's ad for the 14th at $29.99. If this is a legit price drop it could screw with the clearance prices...in other words, you might want to pick it up at $14 if you can find it because it could go back up to $30 next week.

Saw the same drops that most everyone else has posted, most notably the steering wheel dropped to $24 at 3 different stores I visited even though they were all out of stock. Now I just need my "angel" at guest services to do the old return/rebuy for me.

My Target is still 30% off! DMC 3 was scanning for $41.98. I saw they had 1 copy of GTA 4 SE for PS3, $62.98 of course. At this rate, it will drop to 50% off next year if it even lasts. The only 75% off game they had was Elite Beat Agents, 20+ copies for $7.48. No one wants it (got it for $5 at KMart, fun game but limited appeal).
