This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The state tax is only like 2.something% so if you know what you're looking for at a Best Buy you can do in-store pick-up and get charged only the state tax. Not Target related but uh... good info for Chicagolanders.

Target related! I picked up a copy of NG2 for 29.98 and returned and rebought it at 14.98 with this cool guy at my local Yarget. He was covering for this chick who I'm sure wouldn't have done it so yay!

I could have sworn I saw Lost Odyssey when I went to both local Targets earlier this week (scoring DMC4), but checking today, I must have mistook that memory for another store.

Did find a copy of Pure (360) though. Interesting enough, it had a 41.98 clearance tag on it, but scanned at 14.98. Guess it helps to check.

I saw one on clearance for the same price, it was PS2. If you're set on that one, I'd get it at BB for $50 AC (RZGC coupon valid thru 12/14). Or get the single wireless guitar bundle for $30 AC (same coupon). I've heard the game is pretty weak (unless you love Aerosmith) and personally I think the guitar is ugly, but hard to beat $30 for a wireless bundle.

FYI, that is the lowest that the Harmony remote will go unless you're really lucky. In my area, the first drop was 15%, then 30% and last was 50%. Another CAG told me that was the lowest it would go and he was right.

Have you tried the wheel yet? That thing is a blast. My kids and I were playing PGR4 for a couple of hours and they thought it was great. I always thought the "inside the car view" was a worthless viewpoint, but now I use it when racing with the wheel. Only thing that sucked is that it comes with a demo of Forza 2 and not a full retail copy. I thought these used to come with a full copy of PGR4, so I was surprised to only find a demo.

That is not correct. You get charged the full tax for the location in which you pick up.

I just verified this. I selected one location that had one tax rate, and checked the tax I was to be charged, then I changed the location to one town over and the tax changed.

I have been ordering online and picking up at 2 different Best Buys depending on if I am working that day or not, and the tax is always dependent on the pickup location.

The wheel has always included only the demo of Forza (I think). Don't be a cheapass and buy the full game for $20. I think all big retailers have the game for $20 or buy it on half.com for less than that.

It was the wheel that had catching on fire problems. The fixed wheel always came with a demo of Forza 2 which can be found really cheap.

The 50+ copies of Ratchet and Clank FINALLY dropped to $14.98 today! Yes! They also suddenly had 2 copies of Golden Axe PS3-- which I hadn't seen at this store before-- straight in at $14.98. (Didn't buy it) Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 was $9.98 but I passed since I'm not huge on shooters.

I had to take R&C to the front lanes because no one was at electronics. The cashier asked me "Don't you get some more off of this?" and looked at some very tiny sheet on her register that said something about categories of "hanging clearance" get an extra 30% off...!! I said that I had no idea but would be happy to take any money off she'd like to give me... She looked at the game and the list a few times and gave me 30% off the $14.98 price, so I walked out with R&C for $10.49+tax!

Anyone know about this extra 30% off or did I get lucky?
