This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I finally found a decent deal at my target, just picked up DMC4 for 360 for 15 bucks. My target never has good clearance, so it was a nice surprise

I was at North hills friday I believe, they had nothing (though only really looked for 360 games). Will be checking out Wake Forest either today or tomorrow. The ghetto Target on Capital has really let me down.. At the end of the summer that store was a gold mine!

I don't have any first-hand experience with the game, but what I've heard is that it can be quite a bit of fun with two people -- especially at a reduced purchase price -- but single-player is pretty bad.

A friend and I rented, played, and beat the game over the course of a weekend. This was before the downloadable content came out that was supposed to extend the campaign by a bit. It was worth the price of the rental for the co-op experience. If you have a friend to play it with, go for it. Otherwise, I don't think that game would even be worth $10.

No snags, all copies of Civilization are gone. Good thing I snagged two last week. Still some GHII game only at $20.98. DMC4 stuck at $29.98. Jericho stuck at $34.98 as well. Nothing much else to report on.

Well, I was not expecting much since the whole clearance section seemed to have been sucked dry since Black Friday. But low and behold I found a copy of Beijing 08 for $12.48! The employees said they ran out in September. So that made me a happy camper...

...then the clearance cart dude came around the corner.

He pulled the cart over and started stacking and Guitar Hero III bundles onto the endcap. $44.98. One more drop and I'm more than likely sold on the Wii version. The two electronic clerks said the drop was authorized today.

So there you have it! Didn't see the GHIII bundles posted on the first page, so I'd imagine to keep on the lookout for 'em. I sure will be.

The clearance stuff at the two Targets I frequent are on endcaps, at one store its on an end cap in electronics by the console game aisles and just has clearance console games. The PC clearance games are on their own endcap near the PC aisle.

The other Target has both PC and Console clearance on the same endcap near the Electronics clerk/checkout desk.

I have TERRIBLE luck at Target...but I was at a random out of the way one today, and I managed to get two of the Namco Fighting Collection bundles (SC2, Tekken 4, and something else, Tag I think, I left them in the car) for $7.48 each. Not amazing, since they're all older games, but not bad at all.

I saw one R&C at $45 that I kind of stuck at the back of the clearance area last week and it was gone along with all of the other terrible $45 clearance games when I checked the other day. Boo.
