This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Today in the Northeast Philly Target I saw Neverwinter Nights 2 Gold (PC) for $20. They had a ton if anyones interested. Also they had Space Siege (PC) for $20 and GTA4 Limited Edition (PS3) for $45 (Got the last one). The games are kinda hidden because they aren't in the gaming section PM me if your heading there and want to know where to look. I didn't hide them if your wondering.

THere is a Target by me like that. I love it because if you are looking for games you would have to take a roundabout way to go by the section where the clearance games are. I can only assume it helps things stay in stock.

Its weird because the do have a video game clearance section which is where GTA4 was but when I was wandering around the store I saw Neverwinter Nights sticking out of a shelf and when I dug a bit deeper behind all the crap there were a ton of Neverwinter Nights and Space Siege. So I was kinda confused why they weren't near the clearance section.

Checked the clearance today thinking I wouldn't find anything this soon after Christmas. I got lucky and found one copy of Rachet & Clank for the PS3. It was marked 41.98, but it scanned for 14.98.
Hardly anything else though. They had a copy of GH Aerosmith for the PC (no guitar) marked 14.98 (may have been 9.98, not sure). They also had several bundles of GHIII for PS2 and PS3. I wasn't interested so I didn't check the price. The PS2 version was 58.98, I believe. There were 3 or 4 copies of Space Siege for the PC for 19.98.
Not much to get excited about.

EXACTLY! There is a whole community of CAGs that just read through the threads (without participating) and wait for others to do the legwork. In fact, I think this is just a general phenomenon; I had similar issues with hoarders when trying to collect Masters of the Universe stuff awhile back. At first I thought I was doing a "good deed", but then I learned my lesson well after my reported locations were being cleared out.

Bully for the Wii was "supposed" to be 13.98 or so, I saw it on an end cap marked down from $49.99 to $34.98. I scanned the game, correct markdown.
I returned the following week and all of the Bully:SE for Wii were gone. I asked an assoicate about the game, he said they have not had the game for several months.
FFA2 was "supposed" to be $20.98. FOR A MONTH, I pestered my two Targets to check the price, check the price, I printed out the bar codes from the websites above and scanned the barcodes in the stores. ALL I GOT WAS: FFA2 $39.99, each time.
Now both Targets have pulled the game from there shelves and I am SOL.

Seem like target employees might have caught on this forums, kinds lime shopko. Therefore all the good stuff won't be available unless you're lucky. I saw a ton of 120gb hdd for 360 few days before it dropped and they were all gone on the day someone reported the markdown same with everything else

Although clearance items are generally nationwide when, how much, and how quickly each item drops is extremely YMMV.

I think on the website it says the item is returnable at a store. This would be a great way to score a drive if it works.

Hit a jackpot yesterday.

Ive been visiting the In-laws this holiday in South Florida (Coral Springs) and stopped at the local target after watching 4 Christmases Last night, and lo and behold i find the Wireless Racing Wheel Looked like a return/re-seal, of course i was giddy and decided to price scan it as fast as i could. When i found the closest scanner and scanned it it came up "Item Could Not Be Found". So we rang the buzzer and waited 10 seconds for a target associate to come help us and he pulled out his handheld scanner and bam came up as $24.98. What a deal i was not even expecting, all of our wheels dissappeared before they even hit $49.99, my guess is that it was a return on teh 26th and promptly placed back out on the floor. Either way this has been one of my best finds in quite a while.

Went back to target yesterday and they were wiped clean. On monday they had about 10 Madden CE (360). I picked up two of them (1 for myself and 1 for my brother if he ever gets a 360). The remaining 8 copies are all gone along with everything else. Went to a second target and the same thing. No clearance games outside of GH bundles. The GH3 bungle was at $50, I do not have a wireless guitar yet. I might bite at $25.

the 360 version has been 22 for a while at alot of targets. (i wasnt able to get one) the ps3 version is still 62 at my target

It varies from store to store. Many people have reported that Target generally does their weekly clearance markdowns on Mondays but that doesn't necessarily mean the game you're watching will drop each week. Sometimes it can take several weeks for that next level of drops to hit.

Not in a bad way, depending on the starting price point, I'll say $7.48, $6.24, $4.98 and so on. I'll pay 90% off. If it's out of the system, that's what I should pay.

It wasn't much of an upgrade in the game. In fact I think of it as a downgrade in the game because all of the cinemas are in, in game graphics and not sepreate cinemas with boosted graphics. If you liket the first one then you'll definitely like this one espceially since it can be found for under $30 everywhere now.

One of my Targets had the usual clearance endcap with a few games, but the other: "It ain't there. It's been totally blown away." Well, just replaced by non-game clearance items, actually. The toy section... now that was totally blown away. I wonder if this was a fluke, or the start of a disturbing trend...

I would say not very good. Keep it and try to return it at a different Target. I returned a copy of GoW refresh before the store closed one evening, went back the next morning a couple of hours after they opened and it was no where to be found on the sales floor. GoW for $10 would've been nice but I didn't want to pay $20 for the game especially since I already own a copy.

I'm pretty sure with the guys working at Targets near me, the really good stuff will never make it past their "filter." Stuff disappears fast once that $30 to $15 drop happens on the better games, even by Monday afternoon. Poof, all gone.

Didn't see any major price drops at 2 local Targets. Although one Target looked like the clearance section was gone-- I wandered around the general vicinity and only found a couple randomly scattered clearance price tags.

I am a bit annoyed because the 2 copies of (PSP) Test Drive Unlimited that had been in the frontlane area at one of the stores for WEEKS disappeared in the last 2 days... I finally remembered to check reviews and it sounded decent and they were cleared out.... sigh.
