This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

GH aerosmith 2 guitar bundles for $37.50, tiger 09 for $15 finally as well. Look around the electronics. Lots of stuff on clearance and good prices.
 
I grabbed Sonic Unleashed for $12.48 today (360). Farcry was gone> I assume it went to 75% off, but I never saw it. Other than that, there were some PS2 games @ 30% off as well as some PSP, Star Ocean being the standout. Not biting @ $27.98

I didn't see any major drops at the 2 Targets on my way into work, although one seemed to be in the middle of reorganizing electronics, and the other one mysteriously was cleared out of almost all Xbox 360 titles... (including about 10 each of Xblades and Mirror's Edge that I saw on Saturday) X-Blades had been at $14.98 for over a month at this store and they only sold 1-2 copies so I am wondering if they just yanked stuff off the shelf to give to Goodwill. (should've had the DCPI to check, although I got there pretty early, can't imagine a horder beat me)

I'll be stopping by my local South Nashville, TN area Target tonight to pick up a few items but this was what I saw last Friday...

:360: - FIFA 09 - $29.98 (50%) - About 6 copies [Mt Juliet scanned for $41.98!?!]
:360: - X-Blades - $14.98 (75%) - Only 1 copy.
:360: - NPPL Paintball - $29.98 (50%) - Only 1 copy.
:360: - MLB Front Office - $9.98 (75%) - About 4 copies
:360: - Far Cry 2 - $19.98 - About 2 copies.

I was hoping they would have :360: Mirror's Edge :hot:, :360: Nascar 09, :360: Spider-Man: WoS, or :360: Mercenaries 2: WiF but I guess I was too late on those or they moved the stock. I never saw a shelf tag for them and these others have been in the clearance area for a while. I generally visit 3 stores and the inventory is about the same.

Hopefully the prices have gone down today. Seems like these stores lag behind what is posted here in the thread. I do have the X-blades and 1 copy of the FIFA hidden. I wasn't really interested in the others.
 
Just picked up Afro Samurai for $14.98. Alot of the games from last week were gone (Kingdom Hearts 2 and Fifa 09 are the only ones I can remember).

X-blades is at $30 at the 63rd st Target in Downers Grove, IL for those interested.

They also had a bunch of those Nike headphones for $9.98

Yeah, Nashville generally sucks for Target clearance, but the Cool Springs one is usually the best bet in the area to still have stock when things hit 75% off. I'm pretty sure that's where I got my GTA IV collector's edition, which was the last really good target clearance deal I got, unless you count Drill Dozer, more recently.
 
I found a copy of X-Blades(14.98)and Sonic: Unleashed(12.98) at Target in Farmington Hills MI today both for 360

Yeah, you are right about Cool Springs. About 8 mo ago I drove to there from Murfreesboro (45 miles each way) and they had a treasure trove of clearance items I thought were all gone. I figured there were all scarfed up but I was headed over there to BB and decided to hit the Target. Nice find indeed.
 
I saw Rock Band 2 for the PS3 as well: Game only $43.

I also saw a group of 4gb zunes for $50. They were $50 2 weeks ago, vanished, then reappeared at $50. I'll buy a couple at $25 if they get that low.
 
Naruto finally dropped and I scooped it up for $14.98. There were 2 random copies of Far Cry 2 that had never been there before. They were marked 4.98. I picked them both up; one for me and one for someone on the forums.

Fairfax Target didn't drop Mirror's Edge from 19.98. But if anyone wants an 8 GB (I think) Ipod Nano, they had 3 out of packaging, marked as-is, down from ~$150 to ~$100.
 
Picked up a copy of Xblades for $14.98. The other 5 Xbox 360 games that where there last week were all gone, so I guess they'd hit 75% off. Sucks that I have to resort to hiding stuff.

Don't forget the $5 mail in rebate on Xblades.
 
Pretty sure the Cool Springs Target is a high volume store that other stores ship their stuff to when they can't sell it. It's definitely a treasure trove.
 
I was very happy toscore a last copyof Naruto for 14.98. Target was nice enough to hide it for me. They had it on the bottom shelf behind a pS3 for weeks
 
Picked up Sonic Unleashed for $12.98 and FarCry 2 for $9.98. I'm keeping Sonic as I've been eyeing that last copy at my Target for WEEKS and I'm not the kind of person who resorts to stashing (not that there's anything wrong with that). I'll probably trade off FC2 though.

Also, I noticed a few people asking about Tiger Woods 09 (360) . My Target has a few (I think 5 if I remember right). Willing to pick it up for a trade if anyone is still wanting it. I'm still looking for Devil May Cry 4 (either version), Soul Calibur 4 (either version), or anything else you might have that's interesting =) Very established traders only as I'm new to trading here (but not new to trading in other forums) and willing to ship first if your rating is good.

I didn't see any PS3 games. There were a slew of Wii and PS2 titles.

Target off of Old Hickory is OK as well, but Cool Springs is definitely the best. Funny to see how many people from Nashville have posted in this thread. My only complaint with the Cool Springs Target is that the clearance area keeps moving at one point it was over in the kids books.
 
Picked up Tiger Woods for 14.98. It was the last one.

They had 4-5 Incredible Hulk for 360 for $7.48. I don't know if I should get one. Any thoughts? Can it possibly go to 90% off?

Haven't seen a Mirror's Edge in months around Michigan, can't seem to catch a break with this game.
 
Scored PC Sins of the Solar Empire today for 15$ (50% off), 360 Front Office Manager $10, 360 Sonic Unleashed 12$, Wii Aerosmith 5$, Wii Guinness World Records 13$ and PS2 Think Fast 8$.

They have so many hidden objects games for 5$ it's not funny, it's not funny because I have to buy them for my wife :)

Still looking for a 10$ copy of Mirrors Edge

Don't know where in Michigan you're located, but the Midland Mall Target has a couple copies of Mirror's Edge for $20. I've went there a couple times hoping to see $10...but alas, nope. :(

I'm in Southeastern MI, Livonia and Detroit area. I did go to CMU though so I've been to Midland many times. The Mt. Pleasant target used to have awesome clearance items when I lived there, I miss it.

Guild Wars Nightfall (~$8)

Unfortunately, Guild Wars was missing the activation code even though the game was brand new and sealed. Having to go through the hassle of contacting customer service can hoping they will give me a key.
 
Picked up :ps3: Afro Samurai for $14.98 today. There is obviously another local or two that is monitoring my local Target, as there were 3 copies last night at $29.98, and only 1 left when I got there this afternoon.

I thought I was going to get a deal. I found a copy of Spore in the clearance section but noticed the plastic wrap was completely missing. I took it up to the electronics register and asked the guy how much, but it rang up at MSRP. So I mentioned the missing plastic wrap, and the guy was like "Oh I see, I can't sell this at all." I jokingly asked if I could get it at half price or something but he said no, he had to send it back. So I paid for my 2 copies of Mirror's Edge and left...

Picked up Afro Samurai (ps3) for $14.98 and X Blades (360) for $14.98 this afternoon at the Fairview, OR Target. They have one more Afro Samurai (ps3) and Tiger Woods '09 (360) left, both $14.99. Mirror's Edge was still $20.
