This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

And I'm still amazed that people stating a state has an item, as opposed to a city/region, really helps the rest of us from the same state. ;)

Yeah, it's not "going on", it's always happening at Target (clearance) and if you're lucky you can get some items for real cheap.

On another note, hit up 2 targets in the Houston area and all they had was GH3 Aerosmith.
 
I picked up a Guitar Hero Aerosmith tonight for $24.98 in Cockeysville, MD. There are 2 left on top of a bunch of GHWT boxes in the regular area. One is marked $69.99, the other has no clearance sticker. The one I got was properly labeled and found on the clearance endcap.

Edit: Forgot to mention this is for the 360.

Saw plenty of GH Aerosmith PS2 today, labeled around $28 but scans at $10.

Is GH Aerosmith 360 worth an additional $10 over the PS2 version? I'm not sure what the advantages are, other than achievements.

Otherwise I saw some copies of Jericho 360 (probably be some of those thru Christmas) and Legendary PC.

Jefferson City Mo Target HAD 5 copies of the Madden 09 special edition @ 40, but when I went in there on Monday to see if they dropped again, somebody(ies) had bought ALL of them. At least I think they were bought. I was really hoping to pick one up.
 
My Target this morning had a crap-ton of toys on 75% clearance. Lots of Imaginext sets, Fisher Price Little People sets, Indiana Jones stuff, etc. Pretty much all of the post-Christmas toy clearance items hit 75% today. People were buying carts of stuff.
 
I went to a Target and returned and rebought Civilization Revolution so I could have a receipt to apply the coupon towards. So, I wound up with a 5.00 Civilization , which is nice. At my first Target, I found High School Musical with mic for PS2 for 7.48. This was at the Gilbert and 202 location in Gilbert, AZ if anyone is curious. They must have had 15 of them left.

I went to a second Target, which had told me over the phone just one hour before I got there that they had Lego Indiana Jones. They sold it by the time I got there. :bomb: But, on the plus side there had Frisky Dingo season 2 as-is for 4.96, so it made the trip worth it.

Did your Target do any kind of drop in between 30% or 75% or did they just go straight to 75% off? All my Target's had toys at 30% last week and it seems odd for them to jump straight to 75%. I'm also worried that all those Optimus Prime resissues I saw are probably gone now. Stupid parents probably bought them for their kids (who most likely won't be happy with the boxyness of the old optimus prime). Regardless, I'm going to go that Target to check tomorrow. They'll probably be wiped out, though.

If anyone of you are interested in the Air Hog R/C Dual Heli Battle Set, I suggest you get it. My wife picked it up for my birthday (on clearance) and they've been a blast to fly. One heli for me, one for her. :D

Cool, I got a set this morning for $21.24. Are they hard to fly? Do they break easily? I'm wondering if they are any good for my 8 and 6-year-olds.

We were impressed with how sturdy they actually are.
Give the heli full throttle and then let off to get it in the air easily and quickly. If you attempt to slowly lift up, you'll end up scooting across the floor instead of taking flight. Oh make sure to adjust the trim; this makes a HUGE difference.
 
While doing a quick sweep at a Target out here in North Phoenix, all the games were cleaned out, but sitting there on the same shelf was a Master Replicas Boba Fett helmet which runs around $50, with a sticker on it for $12.48 :D

For Little People stuff, they had the Target exclusive Airport, which is a nice set and the Learn about Town set. I think stuff jumped to 75%, but there is still an aisle of 50% toys. Some folks from work went at lunch and a lot of stuff had been bought, but they said plenty still remained. I think most of the G.I. Joe and transformer clearance stuff only made it to 50%, but i did get the Indiana Jones Swordsman Mighty Mugg for $2.74 and a nice 9 pack of Superman figures for $5, plus the Ratchet autobot set for $3.74. Apparently they were still tagging stuff at lunch. Some of the toys did jump to 75%, that Mighty Mugg was $7.49 and went to $2.74.
 
The toy section at my Target was near pandemonium today, and that was around noon! Seems that most of the toys have only made it to 50% off or so, but people were still buying the s_it out of them. Did manage to score some really cheap golf balls, darts, luggage ($10 for a 4 piece el cheapo set!), and the real kicker:

DDR Universe 2 xbox 360 for $12.xx! It has been sitting at $34.xx forever, and seems to have been forgotten about; it was tucked away behind a bunch of other stuff.

I really want one of those RC helicopters, though! I am waiting for 75% however, because the cheapest set they had at mine were still around $44.xx.

Aw. I would've loved DDRU2 at that price...but they all got wiped out at the Targets around here when they had their first drop.

No good game clearance at Cape Girardeau, MO Target. Found a ton of good stuff in other areas....

Got a robe for $7.48 and a thermal for $3.24 or so. A lot of their Mens stuff was at 75 percent off. Looked at toys and hope to find one of the RC helicopters still. Not much else there.

Hopefully in the next couple of months the games will pick back up.

Frankin Whirl Ball (Skee Ball), I bought it from Target.com last week and paid around $40 with shipping since I didn't want to risk it being sold out in store for $24.98 (as of yesterday it was still $69.98 at my local Target so only 30% off). It is a lot of fun for the price and I always wanted a Skee Ball machine but didn't want to pay a lot for it.
 
I raced out after my last post to get to the store that had the 25th anniversary Optimus Prime reissue only to find out he was only 30% off still. Actually, pretty much any of the good Transformer/GI Joe stuff was still at 30%. The Ratbat/Springer and Dirge/Roadbuster were still $20.98 and the giant GI Joe battle set (with three vehicles and five/six figures) was still $44.99. Sigh...

I did get two Transformers Legends 5-packs, and two Animated Deluxe figures, for $4.00 a piece, which was pretty nice.

On a videogame related note: I found Hot Shots: Out of Bounds on PS3 for $14.98. I picked it up.

IMO that set is ridiculously overpriced to start with. A regular-size Optimus Prime plus a bunch of promotional BS for $70? :hot: Please.

Even more so when you consider I already own all the promotional stuff (Comic Issue #1 and three episode miniseries DVD) as well as three other variations of the exact same Optimus figure. I figure if it hits 75% off it would be a no-brainer buy. That'd only be $17.50 total, and since it was so overpriced to start with it's almost guaranteed to be hard to find MISB in a few years (although most serious TF fans could care less about Hasbro reissues).

I got a Guitar Hero 3 bundle for the PS3 the other day, played it and didn't care for it so if anyone is looking for one PM me, im asking $25 plus shipping
 
I went by the Targets in Garner and Cary, NC. Not much to report.

Hot Shots Tennis was $7.48, Line Rider (or something) was $13.xx and Space Siege was $6.24 (85%) at Cary.

There were a few PC games at the White Oak store in Garner... nothing really caught my eye.
 
I picked up 2 Commander pedestal Gaming chairs yesterday. They retail for $150.00. I picked them up for $37.00 each. The chairs are a steal for that price. Excellent sounding speakers, vibrations and sub. Very heavy duty feeling. This was at the Appleton, WI store (Fox River Mall area). They had 2 left as of yesterday.
 
I spotted a GHIII :360: bundle at the Parma, OH. It was on one of the front endcaps shelved with the GH:WT bundles. It was still priced at $64 or so, but I'm sure it'll ring up as $24.98.
 
Target Has The Commander Gaming Chair For 75% 37.98 I Think.
Great For Kids. Looks Like A Miniature Computer Chair With Armrests And 2.1 Speakers. Wireless Adapters Are 7.98 Also.
 
Spent waaayy too much at Target yesterday, about $300 on various toys for the kids, as well as a few things myself. Still waiting on a few drops on the UBP Joe set and Optimus, like some others. Games...jack on clearance. Someone jacked that copy of DDRU2 I was nursing for a month on clearance, giving it googly eyes everytime I went past. Curse them.\

Got a ton of Lego sets for nothing, but the best find? That was the V-smile V-Motion system for $18. Sweet!
