This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Originial price was like $110 for the chair. it basically vibrates the chair and has pretty awesome sound for generic speakers. its fairly comfortable as well. certainly more than sitting on the floor. I like it so far.

Who sits on the floor?

I was about to hit up a local Target when I walked past a guy with 6 Guitar Hero 3 bundles. Any CAGs hit the Dorchester Target lately? ;)

That sounds more like a SLickdealer than a CAG.

Sounds more like a jackass to me.

LOL. But I'm a SDer so I kind of understand the guy.

Wow nothing like letting the CAG community know your a lurker !!! ;) Ah well these days its everyone for themselves for the most part anyways.

Found a lone copy of We Love Golf (Wii) on the shelf with a 30% off red tag. It said item not found at the self price check scanner. Finally found a electronics clerk who scanned it with his handheld, and he told me it's $12.48.

I picked it up but I'm not sure if I want to keep it. I couldn't find another clearance game at the store so perhaps my mind was playing tricks on me telling me to pick it up rather than leaving empty handed.
LOL. But I'm a SDer so I kind of understand the guy.
It doesn't matter who you are, that sounds like simple greed to me.

Doesn't his posting just prove what a lot of us have been saying? That we don't reveal locations because there are tons of lurkers reading our posts, waiting for us to do all the work, only for them to sweep the rug from under us so they can get our deals?

yup life is unfair we can't do anything about it.:D
yup life is unfair we can't do anything about it.:D
Sure there is...you can not post and make it "every man/woman for themselves". I tried to get a PM list going in my region/city thread but it was shot down, so now I never post anything I find. Too many lurkers/hoarders are about. It pains me not to post but it's my own way of trying to keep things fair.

Got Patapon for $4.98. The only other game they had on clearance was Hot Shots Tennis PS2 and they only had one copy in stock. Ah well, Patapon was what I was there for anyway.

As for greedy people ruining this stuff, I've literally been able to get every game I had my eye on at the price I wanted. Like it or not, those bottom feeders help put a floor under everything, as in any market, so it's how the business works. You have an opportunity to get things at a good price if you're quick. Target prices them at that price in the hopes of liquidating stuff very quickly. Those guys buying 6 copies of guitar hero are the same guys Target is trying to attract with their quick clearances. If we get a chance to get in on it, it can only be a good thing for us. Complaining about it never got anyone anywhere. Life is not fair.

Both Targets I hit up today were pretty sparse for games. One had about 5 High School Musical Sing-alongs for $7.48 and a ton of NFL calendars (!?) for $2.48 but that was about it.

Where in Wisconsin are you located? I was at the Fox River Mall Target and saw exactly the same games for sale.

Picked up 2 Shark Chairs for $27.xx. One for each kid. My Target had 4 in stock. Great chairs! Good sound from the speakers too.

I saw a copy of Madden 09 (Spanish edition) in the st. Louis south, county target yesterday.

If anyone sees the english version in the STL area please give me a heads up.

The electronics clearance endcap which has been all but barren for a couple of weeks was completely full today...with calendars. A big steaming pile of old calendars. Did get a game chair, 8 man tent, and drill for 75% off though.

My local Target (and by local I mean, an hour and a half away) was dry as a bone last week. But I did get a copy of Puzzle Quest for the DS at walmart, it wasnt a total lost

Picked up a Commander chair for $37ish. There was one left. Interesting to note that the one I got rang up for $50ish at first, due to the clerk scanning an "As-Is" tag. Wonder if this thing was returned and repackaged. Might get the other one as well if this thing is decent.

Does it come with any cable besides the AC Adaptor? My store has a display and want to make sure that it's complete. Thanks
That sounds more like a SLickdealer than a CAG.
Or someone trying to make a profit. Thing is, with these bundles being clearanced or on sale at other stores and websites lately, and with people being more into Rock Band and GH World Tour nowadays, you're not going to make much, if anything, off of them. And I suppose then we all have the last laugh on that since their greed got the better of them.

Saw some new clearance games today, though nothing special. A lot of those $9.99 bargain games were $6.98 (i.e. Road Rash GBA). I also saw Transformers PH (360) for $20.98 and Fracture (PS3) for $27.98.

The only game I picked up was Madden 2009 CE (360) for $22.98. Plus a few shirts/sweatpants/jackets at 75% off.
saw Haze today for $20 and Mercs 2 for $24 :ps3:

is Haze worth $20?
Have you played the demo?????

(shudder)

I'm still at work. I'll let you know when I get home and check it out (around 7pm).

And what's this whole wireless thingy people are talking about? Is it for a specific chair?

If anyone in the Cleveland area is looking for the Commander chair, the Steelyard Commons store had one left (for $37) as of 5:00 PM today.

I saw Line Rider 2 for Wii clearanced at $13.98. They also had Legendary (PC) for $24.98, and one Commander at $74, along with five Sharks at $27. Man, I hope that Commander drops soon...it looks pretty sweet.

What is he going to do with them? Split them up? Take the guitars to Gamestop? I don't think they are worth the trouble to sell online. They would be a bitch to ship.

Edit: I meant to also say he probably could only get $40 out of them before shipping. I just don't see the profit.

So my chair only came with the chair, pedestal, and AC adapter. Does anyone know if it was suppose to come with other cables (namely cables to feed the audio from the TV/game system to the chair)?

Yes, the chair came with cables to hook up systems to it.

It came with a male to male headphone cord for the DS/PSP/etc.

It also came with stereo audio cables(red&white) along with a pair of couplers.

You could take the guitars to Gamestop and flip the games on Goozex for 500 - 700 points each. You can then take those points and invest them into readily available and easily resalable games (I won't say what these are, as I don't need people jumping in line for them) to sell on eBay for real cash and get around $40 - $50 for them. That + the guitar trade would be somewhere above $60. Not really worth all that effort just for $35.00, though. Then again, I'm sure if I thought about it long enough, I could figure out a way for that person to make a larger profit than that. And no, I'm not the guy who bought the 6 bundles. I bought one PS3 aerosmith bundle (which I traded to Play N Trade for $40.00) and one 360 version (still sitting on it, might keep it) and a 360 GHIII (pretty sure I'll keep it).

Maybe he is turning them into wal-mart gift cards lol. That bundle is so cheap every where now though. I saw it today at Radioshack for $29.97.
What can you use to make to Boomchair Shark wireless?
you can use this:

http://www.amazon.com/Brookstone-X-...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1232424146&sr=8-1

these have been on clearance at target and should be about 7-8 dollars now at most targets. the downside is, they run on 4 aaa batteries. 2 aaa for the transmitter and 2 aaa for the receiver. they do however have an optional dc v3 slot for an ac adapter (not included).

Are you sure it wasn't Line Rider 2 for the PC? That's the one I saw clearanced for $13.98 at my Target.

My Target had Line Rider 2 PC for $9.98.

Definitely NOT a deal, but I went to Target today and they had SingStar Volume 2 (PS3) with an "AS IS" sticker over the UPC and it read (and I'm not kidding) "WAS $699.99 --- NOW $499.99 --- AS IS". I did a double take, but that's what was on the sticker, and the AS IS stickers are the strong kind you can't peel off and reapply. Hilarious.

On a deal note, when I bought something, it gave me a bonus $5 off ANY Blu-Ray Target coupon. Normally those bonus coupons are for items I'd never buy, so was surprised they even offered that one!

Sounds like an employee got careless or a "guest" swapped it from MS Office Ultimate. I've seen a couple of those at Target.

I've got two of those $5 off Blu Ray coupons so far. Otherwise, I usually get $1 off two Post cereals, or some other stuff like that. I also got a coupon for free $5 gift card with purchase of Shaun White Snowboarding, though i can't say I plan on using that in the near future.

Picked up GH Aerosmith for $25 at the Ellicott City, MD Target. Saw High School Musical singing game for ps2 ($7.50) and Hot Shots Golf for the ps3 ($15).

They also had a ton of toys on clearance. Picked up my daughters a couple Sleeping Beauty dolls for $12.50.

Picked up patapon for $4.98 and uncharted for $14.98 at the new warwick mall target in Warwick , RI yesterday

I contacted their support and they said they would send me replacements once I send them a copy of my receipt.

Picked up 2 Domo calendars for $1.49 and 2 posters (Harry Potter and Zac Efron lol) for only 64 cents.
