This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Picked up Rock Band 1 Special Edition Bundle (X360) for 69.98 on Clearance. Not sure if that was a deal or not. At another store it rang up at 97.98 (and shelf tag of 139.99).

Also picked up 2 Nascar 09's (360) for 14.98 for my friend and I.

I picked up Rock Revolution yesterday and it's really not as bad as everyone (most of whom have never played it) says.

I'd say if you REALLY like music games, it's not a bad purchase at all for $9.99. Sure, there are a lot of things lacking, and compared to Rock Band 2 it's a horrible choice at $59.99, but the covers (As a whole) aren't that bad and I actually had quite a bit of fun with it and can see myself popping it in once in a while.

Keep in mind, I bought Guitar Hero 1 the week it was released and played it to death, non-master tracks don't bug me, and I love the genre.

I think each target varies. We have 3 of them here and they all have different pricing based on the competition around them. All I know for sure is- that is the price it was marked, and the price it came up as when they scanned it. I double checked my receipt to be sure that I wasn't over charged. At that price I couldn't resist picking it up. :D

I have played almost every music game konami has made, so i don't think i will hate it that much. it is way down on my backlog though, so i'll let you know in a few years :p
 
Well, I FINALLY managed to nab a clearance game! I got Mercenaries 2 for 360...14.98!! They had Fracture for 19.98 not the 9.98 listed in the beginning of this thread. I guess its the YMMV thing.

Picked up Fable 2 limited for $45

Saw Ace Combat 6 for $16 (didn't buy / have it) and a bunch of other games that didn't peak my interest.

went to the target in w-b..only clearance games they had were facebreaker (360) $13.98 and guitar hero:aerosmith (360) $27.98 game only..
 
I have yet to see a Fable 2 LE at any Target, clearance or otherwise. I'd buy it for $45, but I'm holding out for a PC version.

Also, the Tulsa Super Target has opted to put Clearance items in the case as opposed to piling crap on end caps and they still have the strictly 30% prices. For example Too Human was still $27.98.

The other two Tulsa Targets still kind of whittling down past clearance deals like GH Aerosmith and PC versions of Legendary.

Is it cool if I were to post a picture of one of the end caps here? At the 21st and Yale store they literally just pile clearance stuff on these three shelves back in the corner of the store. Sometimes its quite nutty.
 
I'm seeing the same things everyone else is until yesterday. Blue Planet on HD DVD for $6.26, and The Mummy on HD DVD, which rang up out of the system initially, but at the registers rang up $24.99. There were also 2 Sony Bravia 26"(KDL-26M4000) 008-09-0863 sitting at 30% off of $540.
 
I saw a bunch of clearance games at my Target, but I did not bite. Almost picked up Mercs 2 for $15 and VF5 for $10, but I passed. Silent Hill was still $42 :(

I guess there isn't much I want with Killzone 2 and MLB 09 on pre-order already....I'll be busy.

If it hasn't been reported on yet, I found Locke's Quest on clearance for $13.98 and Pokemon Ranger (the first one) on clearance for $20.98 this morning. Don't have DCPI numbers unfortunately.
 
Picked up Mercenaries 2, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise, Ace Combat 6 this week for $14.98 apiece. I'm very happy...and I didn't even WANT to go to Target either time. I was dragged there by my girlfriend.

Saw a bunch of other games I'm going to wait on. I went back today and scored AC6, but all the copies of Mercenaries 2 from Monday were gone. Either there is a hoarder, or lots of people wanted a copy of Mercenaries.

I shudder to think of the deals I have missed because I shrugged off going. It doesn't seem like my store updates on Mondays, at least not during the day. I was there Monday late afternoon and I scored 2 games, but when I went back today there were many more titles, some I haven't seen on store shelves for weeks/months. Maybe they cleaned out their storeroom?

If it makes your decision on holding off of Fracture any easier, it is $20 everywhere now. You're better off waiting until it's $10 at Target (maybe on Monday).

I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, and if not, maybe any Target insiders could help me out:

Has Target standardized their clearance prices? I used to see different prices at different stores ALL the time, but not anymore. But now I can't think of any prices that have been different among different stores lately.

For instance, within the past three days I've been to 5 different Targets looking for a few things for myself and a friend, and some of the prices I've found:

360 Tomb Raider Underworld: $41.98
PS3 Rock Band Track Pack 2: $14.98
360 Lego Batman: 24.98

etc... the same exact prices that most people have been posting in this thread. All the same at all 5 stores. I can't think of the other games offhand, but there were a lot more and EVERYTHING was the same. So anyone know?
 
Here's the ones I remember...

Facebreaker (360) - $10
Rock Revolution (360) - $14
Foosball (Wii) -$10
X-Men: The Official Game (GBA) - $3.74

I picked up the last one.

This store (in Shamokin Dam/Hummels Wharf, PA) is fairly new, opened in October. They had quite a few other games like Viva Pinata for the DS, Fracture, Lego Batman, Too Human. A good bit of DS and 360 games, a few Wii ones, but not not many PS3 games.

I was too busy snagging other clearanced things, like boxers for like $1 a pair and a Spider Man 3 full sized comforter for $10.

Not from what I can see. Endwar PS3 rang up $29.98 at one store, $41.98 at another. Virtua Fighter 5 is $9.98 at my store, but another guy I know says it is $24.98 at his.

They haven't standardized anything yet.

I went to 5 Targets yesterday looking for a $15 :ps3: Tiger Woods 09, $10 Fracture, and some other things.

Tiger Woods was either $30 or $42, Fracture was $20 or $28, nothing was at the lowest prices in this thread.
 
I'm seeing Singstar for the PS3 for 29.99 in Md. (WHite Marsh)
Thats with the microphones.

And Rock Band track pack for 15..

I've been finding that stores in the same district are on the same schedule more often now with video games...but inventories still vary from store to store so I stop at any and all Targets I pass by.

Up at the Target in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Singstar is only $20.


I work there, so when I notice in the backroom what games will be going on clearance, I'll try and update. I may mainly focus on PS3 games, but I'll try and check out 360 and whatever else we're clearancing out at that point. I'm sure whatever we have going on clearance should go on clearance at most Targets as well...

If you want, I'll see if they have any left. They were all $34.98 for a long time, but just dropped $10 bucks to $24.98 about a week ago. I was holding out for under $20, but they might all be gone.
 
Went to the target in Trevose, PA and Northeast Philly... only game I found was "Rock Revolution" for 13.98. I picked it up as I've been looking to play it but wanted a bit of a deal before biting.

Wow nice find dude. I'm also looking for Tiger Woods. My bro's store has like 25 copies of them and they were marked at 30. Hopefull will fall to 15 and I'll find FC2 at that price tommorow too when I go and check. Good luck in finding Tiger Woods.:)
 
Tomb Raider Underworld took a drop to $29.98, as did Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway, only the 360 versions.

Also, Rock Revolution took the drop to $9.98.
