This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I picked up PS2 SingStar ABBA and PS3 Rock Band Track Pack 2 for $7.48 each. If anyone was wondering, apparantly the Track Pack isn't compatible with the GH3 wireless guitar. :\

Yeah I picked this up on Friday at my local Target. Another Target store I went to about 40 miles away had the same set at 97.98 (yet no clearance sticker) and sitting in the shelf slot marked 139.99. My buddy is waiting for a chance to jump on that since he just bought a 360 for the sole purpose of playing the Rock Band/GH games (and RPGs as well, but since this was a RB comment... lol)

I was at that store today. I saw a few games FFIV, SCIV, Last Remnant, Mercenaries, but where did you see AC6 and Facebreaker? Were they just behind the glass and I missed them?

If the same people from the last two threads are still here, there's plenty of people who would. I don't care about it, but in the past the thread has gone haywire with 15 pages of morality arguments about hiding games.
 
I was just at the Target in Tempe (Baseline and McClintock) and they had a whole slew of clearance games. Way more then I've seen in awhile. They had small stacks of just about every clearanced 360 game in the case where the systems usually are (Facebreaker, Fracture, Unreal III, that Borne game, GH: Aerosmith..). Everything was marked 50% off. They had Fable II CE, in the case marked in the 40s.

They also had the Rock Band Special Edition 360 under 100 (I'm thinking in the 80s).

I didn't get a great look because I was still delirious over GTA4 at RadioShack for $12.

Why not just put in the PS3 Singstar disc first and then do a disc swap to the ps2 singstar abba?

Found Rockband Track Pack V2 for $7.48 before tax, and Farcry 2 for $14.98 before tax. Was hoping for Tiger 09. Ah well.
 
I saw Mercs 2(360) for 20.98 (still waiting for another drop) and The Last Remnant for 41.98

Other than that....nothing of much interest....still waiting around for some better drops

Would of picked up Farcry at $14.98 so I'll check next week.

My Target (Pembroke Pines, fl), always has a pretty lame selection.

I hadn't been to Target for a few months so it was nice to swoop in on some good deals when I finally did.

Make sure to Scan Farcry. Mine said $29.98, and it scanned at $14.98. Samething with Rockband Trackpack, it was $20.98 scanning at $7.48

Conveniently enough the Play N Trade in my area was running a President's Day special for 40% extra on PS3 trade ins. I got $15.50 per Rock Band Track Pack, $15 per Mercs 2, $30 for End War, and $22 for Tiger Woods 09. Pretty good deal all around.

they just build a play n trade near my house. What other good trades and good trade in specials have you had there? How do you know when they have a trade in deal? I checked their website, but couldn't find much.


Also, has anyone found Lego Batman for 12.48 yet?

Found my first good deal at Target clearance ... my Target is always weeks behind all price drops, and by the time the prices do drop, the games are already gone.

Picked up :ps3: Far Cry 2 for $14.98 at the Target in Mundelein, IL. There was still one left.

Play N Trade are franchise stores, so it depends almost entirely on what your store's owner wants to do.
