This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Target in Fullerton, CA (Yorba Linda and the 57) had RB:SE for 360 $69.xx. Couldn't pull the trigger though, just don't have the room to store it.

Target at Harbor/Orangethorpe had them but they rang up at $99.xx.

Well ive been on here for awhile but im posting for the first time.
There are about 9 targets within 20 mintues of me so i go to a variety of them. I have seen pretty much every games all of you have been talking about but i havent seen anyone mention

Yep, saw three of these at one of my local Targets for the $69.XX price point. I have my fingers crossed for one more drop ($34.XX?), just for the extra instruments alone.
 
Target on La Cienega in LA didn't have any copies of Mercenaries 2, the one game I was looking for :bomb:

They had other games like Spider Man (PS3), Too Human, and Brothers in Arms (PS3) mostly at the $29 price point.

That's some discipline there. It's hard to pass up a $5 console game no matter what it is.

I saw Soul Cailbur 4 for $29.98 too at the St. Pete, FL Target. Also for 360:

Fracture - $19.98
Rock Revolution - $9.98
TR: Underworld - $29.98
Bolt - $14.98

I might wait it out and see if TR and SC drop to $14.98.
 
Saw a shit load of Singstar games. Fracture at $19 (Is this MSRP now or close to it)

Picked up Haze for $7.48. Its cheap and I needed to see how bad it is.
 
Found a store stocked with PS3 games tonight.

A dozen $15 Endwars, Almost 2 dozen $15 Tiger 09, and a half dozen $15 Singstar bundles.

Only picker up 1 TW09
 
Picked up Mercs 2 PS3 for $10.
Passed on GH3 PS3 for $13, but I'd buy it i I could get a guitar controller.

FFIV DS was in the case, but had a clearance tag on it for $29-ish.

Fairlakes had over 2 of them 2 weeks ago, last week it was down to 1, this week they have none. Someone must have got it right when it dropped to $70 as it was around $99 last week.

@sonic: re Fable2 DLC; are you just talking about the "Halo" themed extra gear? If so, 1) It's not that great. 2) I was able to get a code without even having the LE. There was a thread on CAG about how to get it (sorry, it was a while ago that I did it. I've since Goozex'ed the game). But I guess not many outside of CAG knew about this exploit if it has ebay value.

Must be like the 360 transfer cable thing.

The website where inputting your Live credentials and they send it? Expired. If there's another way let me know before I dump a pathetic amount of money on it.

Theres more in the LE DLC than the halo stuff. For some reason, its selling on ebay for around $40 or more. IGN lists off all the stuff in it's limited collectors edition review. I think you're pretty much right comparing it to the transfer cable. It has to do with supply and demand.

Still haven't seen several of these games, like tiger woods 09, Ace Combat 6 or End War on clearance. would have liked them all.

Did pick up lego batman for $24, still waiting on another price drop for Soul Caliber.
 
I picked up locke's quest for 13.xx and ff4 for 27.xx. i should have waited for ff4 to drop to 19, since i saw someone post it here for that price. but i did have a $25 gc so it doesn't really matter. i bought it on impulse lol. this was in south gate, ca.

With Target, nothing is normal. Last year, Jericho on PS3 at my store went on clearance and the 360 version didn't. Every Target I go to is a mixed bag. They are starting to do more clearance while in the glass case than placing them in the VG clearance endcap. Maybe that is just seasonal: two months after the holidays.
 
Went to the Target on Balboa in San Diego today, a LOT of 50% off games. Just waiting for Fracture and Soulcalibur IV to drop to 75% off. Also, Crash for the PSP for $10 (75% off)
 
Found PS3 Far Cry 2 today and grabbed an extra..still seeking PS3 Singstar Bundle (just for giggles).

It's pretty barren at most stores, found the Far Crys at a store I usually do not drive to but I was scrounging for 75% off Valentine's items for a fund raiser in 2010 (each year we use a Valentine's theme...)
 
I saw Far Cry 2 for $30 and grabbed it. There was only one and I've wanted to play it.

Also saw Spider-Man Web of Shadows (PS3), but I can wait and hope that it's still there if/when it hits $15.
 
One target near me had Far Cry 2 for 14.98, another one a few miles away had them for 29.xx. Needless to say, I bought it for 14.98, but i hate the YMMV of target clearances.

I don't think the YMMV is that bad. It gives you another chance to pick up a game you might have missed out on (when it eventually drops). Also, you can always do a return and rebuy at the Target with the lower price.

Encinitas still no change from last week . I m waiting for Fracture and Too Human to drop .. Has anyone played Too Human ??? Is it worth it ..
 
It's not a bad game, atleast I don't think so. I feel it just suffered from not being able to live up to the hype. If you like dungeon crawlers and loot, then go for it. If you want deep story and gameplay, you may not like it as much.

And if anyone buys it and doesn't like it, CML because I want one. :)

About 20 copies of Tomb Raider dropped below $30 at the Albuquerque Coors location. I bit. Won't open it until L&D and SFIV have run their course, so I'll keep an eye out for further drops. They had a few copies of Bourne and Last Remnant at that price as well.

Those ones? The Northland of KC got a new Target built last summer and they have those carts. They are great.

Target up in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin has Endwar for PS3 for $14, one copy of PS3 singstar for $20, Two 360 Rock Bands for (I believe) around like $80, and one hidden copy of Virtual Fighter 5 for $4.98... That's about all I can remember... I didn't see anymore PS3 Far Cry 2s... Which I am disappointed about...
