This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I got one of those guitar sets before Xmas (same price amazingly), and while nothing excellent, it isn't bad at all. The digital tuner is a big help and I have had a lot of fun trying to learn on it. The only real downside is that it seems to constantly work itself out of tune. I seem to be trying to keep that straight more than playing it. However, for the price I would buy it again and not blink.

I found a copy of Ninja Gaiden 2 but the scanner kept saying item not found. I doubt it would be like a penny guide when that happens, so I didnt bother trying to buy it.
 
Same prices at mine as well. There are cheap PS3 games, but no cheap 360 games. I saw Spider Man Web of Shadows for $14 and the TIV at GS is $16. I also saw the Rock Band Track Pack 2 for $7. There was also a wii game that could be flipped for a couple of dollars more, if only they were still running the promotion for an extra $10

Did they ever clearance Spider Man Web of Shadows for the 360??????
 
Checked 3 Targets today. No worthwhile drops at all (Last Remnant still at $41.98!). Well, Haze did drop to $7.48 but who really cares about that.
 
Picked up Web of Shadows and Farcry 2 (both PS3) for $15 each.
I wanted to wait til they dropped, but they only had a few copies of each.
 
Saw Disney Sing It w/ mic for 9.98 (PS2). That seems really cheap, I may go pick up one or two as trade fodder tomorrow. Unless there is 0 demand for it.

About a year ago, I found a game at Target that said "Item Not Found" when scanned. I took it up to the register and the guy said it should have been pulled, but wasn't, so they'd sell it to me for the lowest price it had been at, which was $7.50.

Yes, because it's MSRP $40. And Gamestop has $10 TIV for the game only.
 
Lots of Endwars for the $14.98 mark at Springfield.

Saw a copy of Spidey for the :360: for the $34 mark. My hopes were up when I saw a Far Cry :360: Mixed in the clearence games but it was $39 nothing too exciting.
 
Just got back from target and saw (and did not pick up) Bratz: Diamonds (PS2) for 7.48. Also Army Men RTS (GC) for 4.xx which I might go back for. Is it any good?

I was all excited about finding Tomb Raider Underworld and RB Track Pack 2 for $14.98 today until I saw people finding them for $7.48. Stupid LA Targets and their lagging markdowns, and too many people who buy at whatever price.

Is anyone else noticing their Targets are moving the clearance sections around? One Target I go to has moved their games clearance 3 times in the last 3 weeks...! It's getting to be a bit of a game trying to figure out where the magical clearance section is!
 
Ugh, two trips to Target today and they still haven't done markdowns. The two electronics guys had the scanner sitting next to their register but never did them all day. Will try another one tomorrow. Can confirm Far Cry 2 for PS3 is $14.98 though, but was out of stock at the store I went to.
 
i didnt get much but i did pick up fracture ps3 for 9.98 might wait till the 360 version drops to that price. i also got haze dunno why but for 7.98 i went for it. i also saw killzone in the case and tried to buy 2 but the computer said not to sell till the 27th. i was so close to being mine oh well ill get it when it comes out

Which Target in LA and do they have anymore copies?
 
I just wanted to alert you guys to a deal posted on this site for RE5 for 19.99 after trade-in of 2 select titles. I few of them are Target clearance items so the game can be gotten for $40 +/-.
 
I visited several South and West Twin Cities Metro area stores and the only drops to the 75% off price were (all 360):

Wow, that is a fantastic haul. I've been waiting on Far Cry 2 and Last Remnant to drop from $29.98 to the $14.98 range at my 2 local Targets, but no luck so far. $7.98 is unreal for those.
 
was anybody able to prove me wrong that these latest drops are only on the targets on the east of USA not including the targets located on the west like in California?

Yes. A quick scan in the past two pages shows there have been drops in Minnesota and Ohio.
 
No didnt pick up multiples , only do that if its for a gift . They had 1 more Remnant 2 Silent Hills and a boatload of Tomb Raider , Fracture and SC IV , last ones of Rock Band and Fable . Look around I found Rock Band Stashed in the Auto Clearence Section . So you never know . PS3 didnt really see much other than Far Cry 2 and Guitar Hero Aerosmith .

I have seen a lot of these deals in the OC. I saw FF4 for $29 something, can't remember the price. I picked up Web of Shadows for ps3 for $14.98. I haven't seen Last Remnant, I don't have a 360 so I don't check those games much.
 
My Target seems to have really cut back on not only the quantity of each game they bring into the store, but they've drastically reduced the number of titles in the 360, PS3, PS2, and PSP sections. They still give the 360/PS3/PSP/PS2 the main billing in the front cabinets, but at the expense of quantity. I almost wonder if they're planning on not carrying the PSP anymore. They literally only have 10-12 games in the main case, and they didn't even bring LocoRoco 2 into the store.

Needless to say, the clearance section has been looking terrible lately. I picked up the last (hidden) copy of Spiderman Web of Shadows for PS3 for $15 to flip on Goozex, but that's really all they had that is worth mentioning. They seem to be slower to clearance stuff this year too. It's sad, my store was such a great place to pick up clearance games last year, and it's like a switch has been flipped. Bummer.

I went to three targets tonight in our city, and this is pretty crazy.. one had far cry 2 and end war for $40.98 red sticker, one had both for $29.98 and my final stop had both for $14.98.. I grabbed FC2, not sure I'll like Endwar, I don't know anyone who's played it if it's worth $15. Also saw Abba Singstar PS2 $7.48, Pokemon Ranger for DS for $9.98, Rock Revolution 360 for $9.98 and Spiderman WOS Ps3 $29.98 ( still waiting on our drop on it)

Well, there was. :razz: I got the last Fable II LE @ $34.xx at the Harbor location. There were also several copies of Too Human at $9.xx.

After several trips for the last couple of weeks to taget today was the Day! Picked up Farcry 2 (PS3) for the new low price of 14.98, and picked up Viva Pinata 2 (360) for 7.98. (this store is in Miami, FL 36th street and miami ave.)

There were some, I actually sent my g/f to buy them. She said she saw "like three games" fwiw. Sorry.
 
Norman was cleaned out of good stuff like soul calibur and fable 2 LE. Still had crap like Fracture and Too Human at 19.xx...Sunday there was only one soul calibur left at 41...I'm guessing it sold at that or an employee snagged it. Fable 2 LE sold out at fifty something. Last Remnant sold out at 40 something. A lot of times stuff sells out when its marked down just a few dollars. The Norman, OK store is just too busy and there are too many young white males working in electronics for me to have a chance at the good deals it seems. They did have about 15 wiis.

I did snag a copy of Mercs 2 for 14.xx last week, but there were only like one or two left last monday and earlier in the week there were 10 or more.

Dude, I *just* said that to my girlfriend.

I told her I felt like walking up to an employee and asking them how many loops of that video it took before they felt like launching a rocket at the electronics section.

Two loops of that already drove me crazy.
