This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I did glance in the case but I don't remember seeing any there. I know it wasn't on the "clearance/discount" rack next to The Last Remnant/TR:UW. If they did have it, I'm bummed since I would have definitely bought it at that price.

I need to go back there tonight to pick up something else, I'll look for it and notify if I see it.

Just man-up and ask. Target employees are there to serve you.

And blow up those upc barcodes. It doesn't matter how big they are, the laser will still scan them if you x2 the sizes
 
Took the plunge and got Lego Batman :360: for $24.98. Price drop is imminent. Passed on Rock Band Track Pack Vol 2 for $8, and Soul Calibur IV for $30. Disappointing price drops this week.

how many lego batman(s) did they have in stock, if they have a lot then you can wait, or don't open the one you have, and rebuy the cheaper one later if it does down in a week or so. (that's what I did with Mercenaries).

there're plenty in the 36th Street NW N. miami ave area. (Downtown Miami), they had a lot of mercenaries, and they are 9.98.

Just remember that the employees are there to help you with your problems, whether it be locating an item or finding the prices for 15 different games. And if they tell you that they can't do it, ask to talk to a manager.

Even if they tell you that the prices should be as marked, tell them that you heard from a friend that they were lower than marked and you need to know the exact price due to a budget.

Yeah, that store seems to always have a good amount of copies. stay away from the one at dadeland though. That's the one I pass by every day and they never mark down clearance prices and barely have shit most of the time.

The glass case is SO your friend. Finally found Rock Band Track Pack 2 for the PS3 for $7.48. It was not even stickered. Just had the clearance tag in front of it. Picked up the last 2 (one for me and another for a friend).

On the other hand, the other Target I went to had completely sold out of Singstar v1 and RB Track Pack 2 after their price drop this week, where they had at least 3 of each last week. I did pick up :ps3: Endwar for $14.98 at that Target. They had 3 of them left. It was the only game that had not been touched.

Still waiting for Fracture (PS3) to drop to $9.98 at any of my local Targets.

Yea im so glad that my target when it became a super one go the one scanners where you can type in the numbers i hated doing the barcode thing

The Aliso Viejo Target, off the 73 Toll Road, had TR Underworld, BIA Hell's Highway, Soul Calibur IV, and Last Remnant for $15. Now I just have to find SH Homecoming for $15.

I just got Fable 2 Limited Edition for 34.98 at Fair Lakes VA Target. It was the last one and marked for 47.98, but when I scanned it it was 34.98 so I bought it.
 
Got Far Cry 2 (PS3) and Tiger Woods 09 (PS3) for 14.98 at the San Dimas, CA store. They had a crapload of Spiderman WOS at either 19.99 or 29.99 (don't remember right now) but I figured I could would a week or two for another price drop on that.

I spotted Unreal Tournament III ($19.98), Too Human ($19.98), Fracture ($19.98), Bourne Conspiracy ($29.98), Soul Calibur IV ($29.98), and Tomb Raider Underworld ($29.98) :360: at the Strongsville OH Target. There was someone in electronics scanning all the games in the regular aisles, so perhaps there might be another price drop soon.

Picked up Ace Combat 6 (7.48) and a Fable 2 LE (34.98) from my local Target. First really good Target Clearance find.

My Target annoys me. I come here and see all the good deals people are getting, yet when I go to mine I either find NOTHING or gay prices. i haven't been in a while, but the last time i went:

Bourne Conspiracy- 29.98
Tomb Raider UW- 44.xx
The Last remnant- 44.xx

and other high prices. i want the 7.48- 14.98 deals people are getting

haha you think that is bad i went yesterday the one in Sacramento CA. i saw FC2, End war, and Spider man WOS. (1 copies of each left) located on the clearance pile. I was all hyped up for no reason. Turns out all three of them are still 41.50 after getting scanned. I was upset....

Consider yourself lucky. My target doesn't have Last Remnant, I know it got a universal drop to 39.99 but I was hoping to grab it for $20 or less. Mine still has Too Human for $19.98 with no drop. Same prices as last week on everything. I wonder if they didn't do the drops yet. I was there after work on Monday and did see a few people with those handscanners, but I wonder if they missed the game clearance.

In either case, my Target hasn't price drops in a few weeks -- I've noticed that my Target doesn't do price drops as often as they used to. Is anyone else noticing that?

yeah mine has. it used to be weekly, but too human sat at $20 for 3 weeks and all of them got snatched up. i was hoping to pick up SCIV, TR:U, and Bourne, but all are gone now at $30. oh well.

THE GOOD NEWS: Target in Phillipsburg, NJ has 3 copies of Killzone 2 on the shelves!

THE BAD NEWS: When I tried to buy one the register beeped, the part I can see said "balance due 0.00", and the guy told me he couldn't sell it to me until 2/27.

I also have available PS3 Rock Band Track Packs, PS3 Far Cry 2, and PS3 Endwar at 75%, but no PS3. If anyone wants a Track Pack code for $7.50 paypal, I can likely do that and then dump the game disc off at GS. Otherwise its probably not worth my time.

Eyeing up a lot of stuff for next week too. Whatever little bit is left for 360 is due for some ripe price drops.

one copy of locks quest ds $10 (i think)
and a few other crap games.

and i got the last of

fracture 360 $10

they did NOT have any fable 2 LE, or left 4 dead damn it!!!!
