This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Hiding stuff is not successful -- Target keeps a skim amount of stuff on the shelves, so odds are if you hide something, it'll be found during the week. There are so many red tagged items througout the store, my guess is that they keep an eye out for them. THis hiding stuff isn't a new thing by any stretch, so I'm guessing they know and try to keep it to a minimum.

If your going to hide games at least keep them somewhere near the video game section. Not stuffed in a table in the furniture section. Give CAGs a fighting chance at finding the Easter eggs.
 
getting games at the magic 10/15 dollar range is getting harder and harder at my target. all the farcrys, fractures,etc are gone now. but 2 bioshocks showed up marked 43 bucks, i'm sure they will be gone by end of week. i did get disney singit (ps3) for ten bucks it was with the book clearances. i wonder if someone stashed it behind some books, lol.
 
i have games hidden at all three targets in my area....worked out last week monday morning when i went to price check some games and all the good ones were gone so i went to my stash (which is NOT located anywhere near the game section LOL) and took it to the price checker and sure enuf they had all dropped to 14.99 so i walked out with Tomb Raider UW, Last Remnant, and Soul Caliber 4! I then went to the next two targets but everything good was still at 29.99 so yeah i'll admit to hiding games but my rule is i just hide ONE COPY ONLY!

My stuff was there a week later and is still there. Worked out, since I bought them cheaper.

We had ONE Bioshock for $27 on Monday.
 
some one please tell me a good hidding spot... I wont tell you where I shop, and you don't have to tell me the target you hide your games...

I just need some ideas on where I can stash some games

Ok i've tried hiding stuff in the beggining in the toy section but those always get found.....the newest place i found to hide games is in the woman's panty section!!! I mean geez it's so simple, if a chick finds the games she's not gonna buy them!!!! I must admit i just love stashing things in woman's panties, oh yes!

Buddy a red flag gets thrown up when a male walks into the panty section alone, much more if with electronic merchandise. So yeah you might get thrown out by the LP

Back on topic...was at the Chantilly VA Target over my lunch break, they had a bunch of :ps3:Soul Calibur IV out for $34.XX (Is this a new clearance? Why isn't it in the OP?), they also had one copy of :ps3:Disney Sing-It that is marked $19.XX but rang up $9.XX, one copy of :ps3:RB marked at $97.XX, a ton of DS accessories (travel packs, covers, styli, etc.) at about 25% off, and a DS game that I did not see in the OP: :ds:World Series of Poker 2008 Battle for the Bracelets for $3.74. I'll get the DCPI and update when I go back to my car later.

If there is a drop after 25% I think those BIA's will make it
 
Picked up Mercenaries at 7.48 today in Fredericksburg, VA. Also picked up a copy of Fracture for 9.98... Not bad for a quick stop by at lunch :)

Soul Calibur still at 29.99 (grrrrr....)

Yeah, the next drop would be to $7.48, if the Target doesn't send them back to the manufacturer or donate them to a Goodwill. If they do drop to that point I was thinking about grabbing three of em to trade-in to Gamefly (they only let you trade in three copies of a game, and they are giving $12.25 for BiA).

I havven't seen the $59.99 games go to a lower price point in a while - not since Tony Hawk American Wasteland - they had tons of those that went to 90%.

It's strange around here no - most of the times, it's Monday for VG markdowns - but the Falmouth store had the games at 50% 2 nights ago and now they're at 75... My guess is it happened this morning. Makes it hard to anticipate the price drops.

I have to figure out what to keep, what to sell and what to return this weekend... I've ended up with crapload of 75% off games and I can't possibly play them all...
 
Now when a sale on woman's panties goes to 50% off then it might not be a good idea to hide games in that section then cuz woman flock to a half off panty sale of course myself i prefer when painties are 100% off!!!!

I work at Goodwill and they don't donate their stuff, we buy it. While they do sell it very cheaply, they still get something out of it.

Is Viva pinata TIP any good? I picked it up for 14.98 along with Haze for 7.98.

I'm still looking for Fable 2 LE, so if anyone's target still has them please pick one up for me.

I guess that explains why my local Goodwill and Salvation Army stores never have clearance games from Target. They usually end up at Marshalls.

I spoke with a Target worker today and he said there was no set structure to changing clearence items ??? He said if a big one hits its normally around 2 - 3 weeks for the next and it can be on any given day .

Do you think he was Full of Shitzu or just a stoney looking dude trying to be helpful without really knowing ?

No changes at the Enci store but that damn facebreaker is still there at $9.98 . I want to get it but i heard its pretty bad .

Well picked up two games at mine, Bourne Conspiracy and the PS3 Spider Man web of shadows, they were both $14.99 and I will flip Spidey unless I trade it here if anyone wants it

Man a lot of people go to that Chantilly Target. I found RockBand for 360 for $34.98 there earlier this week as well as Tomb Raider for $15 on 360. Other than that, I've seen in the area Too Human for $10 and Unreal Tournament for $10, but most Targets are still $20 for Unreal Tourney and some are still $20 for Too Human.

Most of the other clearance there hasn't dropped much, either; Too Human is still at 19.98, and so is Fracture. (all 360 BTW). Drove to the second Target-- they had less copies but the prices are the same. It's been at least 3 weeks since any of these have dropped.

Yeah, that one's slightly too far for me. I stick to Fair Lakes and Burke, and have had mixed results with both.

Exact same problem at the two Targets near me, Fairlawn and Medina, Ohio.

Perhaps I should try sneaking around the building this next time.
 
Went to the other side of town and scored Endwar Ps3 for 15 bucks....

I saw Rock Revolution for 14 bucks, Blitz 2 for 27 and SC4 for 34 all for ps3.....
