This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Well just got back from the new Target. Didn't have anything worth mentioning except for Merc 2 (360) for $7.48. I didn't pick it up since I got it at BB last week for 10. But they did have 4 copies left.

So I guess new stores can have clearance after all. Thanks to those who said they would.
 
forgot to mention in my last post that my target had Quantum of Solace (PC) for 20.98. i'll wait for that one to go below $10. and then maybe i'll get it.
 
Is there any chance of getting good prices at NY or NJ Target locations. From all the posts it looks like all the good deals are coming from more western states.
 
This might be a weird question - I picked up Deal or No Deal for 7.48 a few days ago, and it didn't have a manual. The case wasn't re-shrink wrapped or anything like that...and it's not like the game needs one, but I found it strange. Did anyone's copy have a manual?
 
Last night, I picked up:

I went back to the Target that had pulled alot of stuff last week and everything was back except for Singstar bundle vol. 1 PS3. It dropped to $14.98 so maybe someone else picked them up since I didn't go until late afternoon.

Actually its the opposite usu the eastern states get the deals first, it depends on your target.... Go do some recon and you will quickly see
 
I got fracture yesterday for $10. Not a bad game for that much.
Can you believe last remnant was at $42? TR:UW was $42 also.

I think the employees there leave the prices high then they mark them down and flip them. I saw two workers talking about marking something down and they seemed really excited.

Just picked up a Rock Band SE Bundle for PS3 for $97.98+tax. The stock checker worked like a charm. FYI, the DCPI for it is 207-24-0083

Interestingly, I saw Blitz:the League II on "clearance" for $27.XX.

Saw a Rock Band bundle for the same price. I wonder if it will still be there when it hits 50% off...75% off...doubtful. I'd buy a second bundle for 75% off just for the extra intsruments.

Picked up last FFIV DS for $9.98.

They had multiple copies of Fracture and Too Human that were either unmarked or marked $19.98 but they both scanned at $9.98. They also had two PS3 Rock Band SE bundles were marked under $100, but I didn't check the price.

A Target near me opened in October and had clearance tags the week of its grand opening. I don't know anything about retail, but I'm guessing it's because these stores get stock well before the decision to clearance stuff is made. That new Target was the only place I could find the 360 racing wheel and 120 gb HDD when they dropped 50%.

Jealous. I've looked for FFIV everywhere (at least 10 stores) and haven't seen a single copy at any price.

Same exact thing at one of the Targets in my area. I counted just for fun, and they had 55 copies. Makes no sense at all.

Guess it'll depend on your store. The one I just went to only had 2 copies for PS3 and 1 for PS2. I'd love to find it even cheaper but I figured if I didn't get it now, someone else would have.

I hadn't seen it in that store before and I wasn't looking for it. It just popped up on the clearance shelf unmarked. It's a good thing I scanned it.

2 stores was mostly a bust. Found a Lego Batman for $13 but no Silent Hill or Last Remnant, my main wants.

i picked up too human for 9.98

was waiting for the last remnant to drop from 29.98 to 14.98 but someone stole the last copy .. argh. they did the same thing with the last copy of soul caliber 4 and unreal tournament 3 .. but at least i got a copy of UT3 before that.
 
According to the inventory checker online, two of my local targets still have the Fable LE. But, I couldn't actually find it in either store.

I spent a good 5 minutes staring at the glass case at one store, hoping maybe it was just stuffed somewhere to the side. No such luck. Bummer, it was the one game I was really looking for.

The online inventory was accurate with all the other games I checked. I saw Soul Calibur 4, Silent Hill, Last Remnant, and Tomb Raider Underworld. I didn't scan them, but most of them had $15 tags on them.

my online scanner has said my Target has fable 2 also. In store scanner says none and employees say none. I really wanted it too
 
Picked up Too Human for $9.98! Yay!

Quick story: I sold a game on CL last night and the guy gave me an extra $10 for the heck of it. I was selling the game for $30 and he gave me $40 and told me to keep it, "because the game probably cost me more than that."

So basically I got Too Human for free. Thanks "Duwane" (the gentlemens name)!
 
Picked up SingStar Legends at the Oceanside CA store for just under $8. I'm very happy! It was the only one they had though.

SingStar Country was the same price at the Vista store but I didn't pick it up.
 
Went to Target today, and found very little of interest. There was GH:Aerosmith for $20 and then Brothers in Arms for $30. The games I saw two weeks ago just disappeared as I waited for them to drop to 75% off (UT3, TR:U& Fracture). Oh interest though, I did see that the Philips 42" 1080p LCD TV was on clearance down to $700 I think from $800, and then the 32" 720p LCD TV down to $495 down from $550.
 
Okay how does this work?

I found Far Cry 2 PS3 for $15, will it drop lower or is 75% off the lowest these games go? I wanted it for $10

It will drop, IF (and that is a BIG IF) it is still around in a few weeks. I have never seen this be available long after hitting $15.
 
I finally saw UT 3 for 360 priced at $9.98 but I passed. Not really regretting that because I found stuff at another stop. Wish I hadn't gotten anything since my bank account got secretly overdrawn. Oh well.
 
I want Lego Bat man and Silent Hill but everyone is sold out. I think people have luck with price match /re-buy. Every time I try, they tell me you can't since it's clearance.

Actually, a lot of times they won't go lower than 75% off even if they haven't sold out at that price. Many Targets just ship them off to Goodwill at that point.
 
Made a run this evening.

One Target didn't drop most of its prices, except T:RU and Guitar Hero III (I left my wallet so I couldn't snag anything either way)

The other Target I hit up did in fact make some drops, across the board actually, with TR:U, Fracture, and Bourne hitting their lowest price point.
 
forgot to mention that there were a bunch (5+) of fire emblem: shadow dragon at the Clifton, NJ Target for 20.98

My Target is holding strong on the TR:U $30 price point for the fifth straight week as well. Nice to know I'm not alone, lol. Bourne is still $30 at my Target as well. Weaksauce.

TRU and Soul Calibur are on week 5 here also. SC is the only game on clearance that I REALLY wanted lately too.
