This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Strangest thing in all my recent days of Target clearance hunting. I showed up to one this morning (9am) and it had absolutely no games or gaming accessories on clearance. Couldn't believe it!

Our Target in Bowling Green, KY FINALLY brought down it's clearance prices to what many of you have reported in the north/northeast.

Did you actually scan the bar code for the 360 version of Soul Calibur IV? It's on clearance at most Targets for either $14.98 or $29.98. Maybe it wasn't properly marked at your store.
with the 50 percent extra trade in bonus he would get $25.50 for the game at gamestop so it would be about a 10 dollar profit... ive done it twice already
but that 50% only applies if you use the profit as credit to buy something in-store; you can't pocket $25.50 to buy groceries with later.

If you're trying to buy more groceries by selling clearance video games, you shouldn't be buying video games.

But you can do that twice, buy RE5 (with +$5 dollar cash), play it, beat it, and then sell it online for probably $10 more than cash invested.

I'm going to try that.
Hoping to snag today:
Last Remnant
Tomb Raider: Underworld

Scoped out Target this morning (St. Charles,MO). No new games, a few drops to the prices that everyone has seen. Including (360) Rock Revolution $5, GH: Aerosmith $9.xx, and Bolt $7.xx.

They had a lot more general electronics and they even spill over into another nook like the game one. Quite a few digital photo frames and some expensive Phillips and Sony headphones/earbuds. Nothing cheap enough yet!

God some decent deals today:
EndWar (DS) for $7.50
Rock Revolution (360) for $5
UT3 (360) for $10
GH3 Aerosmith (360) for $10
Tomb Raider Underworld (360) for $15

(prices shown on pg 1 is current)

Man, I stopped by my Target yesterday and they got raided over the weekend. Last week they had 10+ FFIV at $19.98, and a few dozen (in total) 360 games at 50% clearance, but not a single one was left on Saturday. I wonder if they finally dropped them to 75% off and I missed it. Oh well, I picked up FFIV and Fable II LE for 50% off, and I'm very happy with those prices.

The DCPI's are getting behind , please be sure to post yours from what you guys get today .

I need the DCPI for Soul Calibur 4 PS3 . Thanks .
Doubtful. Target paid big bucks to sponsor Shaun White Snowboarding, so it'll probably rot on Target's shelves for a really long time.
I'm actually surprised this didn't go on clearance after xmas as it was pushed as one of their holiday type items. I'm thinking along the same lines as last years Tony Hawk game.
I'm going to try that.

Last Remnant
Tomb Raider: Underworld
Picked up:
360 - Last Remnant
360 - Silent Hill Homecoming

Saw:
PS3 - Soul Calibur IV ($24.98)

I didn't get the numbers from SCIV though.
I notice different prices on SCIV. Mine started clearance at $49.99.
I believe others at $59.99?

Depending on my other Target I may have to return/trade Silent Hill.

Someone bought the FFIV DS, oh well. But I did pick up some goodies as I think another "stash" was found, sorry!

Last Remnant 360 - $14.98 (!)
TR:U 360 - $14.98 (bought another since no one wants these)
BioShock PS3 - $19.98
SingStar ABBA PS3 - $19.98 (i'll keep this unopened for now)
SingStar Pop Vol.2 PS2 - $14.98 (not risking losing this, already disappeared at several others)

Are you in Tally? I swear all of the Last Remnants are (and have been) gone for awhile, am I just looking in the wrong spot?

I bought Tomb Raider: Underground today for $14.98. I had been hoping my local Target would eventually drop it down to that price, and today was the day!

My target finally discounted TombRaider, Last Remnant and Silent Hill. There are Silent Hills left at the Cypress Target @ Katella / Knott, CA

Are there any really major differences between PS2 and PS3 Singstar:Abba? I'm sure the video quality is better on the PS3 but given I got the PS2 version for $7.48 I don't know if it's worth the upgrade, really. (I've left it sealed to return just in case but unless I can get the PS3 version for $15 or less I doubt it's worth it)

Can you play the PS2 version through the PS3 Singstars? (like as an extra disc? I've read you can use some of the PS2 ones in the PS3 game)

The difference is there is a few extra songs on the PS3 version. 5 More, however I don't recall the names. The video looks 80's quality anyways. I have 80's and PS3 Abba singstar and don't notice a difference with the two.

Yes, you can play the discs. Put in the PS3 game there is a button to hit to switch discs at the main menu. Do this and it will ask for the new singstar disc. Put in PS2 or PS3 it doesn't matter and it will play the content.

The track difference is a deal breaker for me:

"SingStar Abba has arrived for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2, with the PS2 version featuring five fewer songs and no online gameplay. As you can see, despite hitting it big on the PlayStation 3 already, the SingStar franchise will continue to live on the PS2 for quite sometime and there are still a number of SingStar games to look forward to."

Also in the latest PS3 SingStar upgrade, they added a disc swap option in the song menu where you can switch the disc out to load your PS2 Singstar disc. I like it!

They are also working on trophy support for the next upgrade.

According to the Target item locator, 2 nearby stores still have copies of Fable 2 LE in stock. But, in actuality there is no sign of the game at either store when I've actually gone in to check previously. I'm tempted to Target after work, but I fear it won't be worth it. Lame.

SC IV for the 360 is still on the shelf at my Target, not on the clearance end cap. Might stop by on my way home from work and have them scan it just to be on the safe side.

Thanks, I didn't realise there was a song difference, although honestly I don't know any of these songs..!

Tracks exclusive to PS3:

* "Happy New Year"
* "Head Over Heels"
* "The Day Before You Came"
* "Under Attack"
* "When All Is Said and Done"

Went to the target on my way home from work. The only target in my area that I had seen SC4 (360), which they had 1 left as of friday. Game still marked at $30 in the case. This target actually has the numbers on the side of the scanners. It came up $15. Finally.

I skipped on SCIV PS3 for $24.98. Just one left. I love fighting games too...maybe another drop will convince me.

Picked up :360: Tomb Raider Underworld and :360: Bourne at the Manhattan Beach, CA Target this morning for $14.98 each, and :ds: Lock's Quest for $4.98. There were still 4-5 more Tomb Raiders and maybe a Bourne or two left. They also had :360: Fracture and :360: Too Human for $9.98 each, and some other games.

Also picked up :360: The Last Remnant at the Culver City, CA Target for $14.98, unfortunately the copies of Silent Hill were gone. They still had a bunch of :360: Soul Caliber's for $14.98.

OK, totally jealous of the Lock's Quest and FFIV for $4.98. I couldn't find Lock's anywhere near here when it was reported at $9.98...and all the FFIV's disappeared when it was reported at $20-ish.

Same here - My Target has 2 left, but $25 is still a little too high for me.

Got Tomb Raider: Underworld (360) for $15 from the Target in University Hts., OH this afternoon. One copy is left there. From what I've seen, it's the only copy of TR:U at any Target on the east side of Cleveland. The next closest stores with TR:U, both of which have limited availability, are Parma and W. 117th.

If that FF IV for $4.98 that was previously reported is actually true, no one else will find it at that price. The 88% mark is something that a store actually has to manually enter in and really only occurs when something sits on the shelf for a really long time.

I picked up a copy yesterday for $9.98. That was the perfect price for me and I can't argue with 75% off.

Saw a last remnant at a nearby target.... but debating whether i should bite. rang up 14.xx

Worth it though? i mean, the game sounds mediocre at best. :(

I got the last TR:U at Target on La Cienega in Los Angeles this morning for $15. I saw a couple Abba Singstar for PS3 at $20 (which I passed on, $20 still seems like too much for what is basically a karaoke disc) and not too much else unfortunately. Someone got the 2-3 copies of Silent Hill that were there last week, as well as the other 8-10 copies of TR:U and several PS3 Soul Calibers.

Thanks. I got it for the Wife. She likes ABBA. She did those songs, I was neutral to those. the other songs were more interesting. I rock the SS 80's the most.

If the online appeals to you get the PS3 version. I paid $20 for the PS3 version and it was worth it.

Mayfield,OH Target

Bought:
Spiderman Web of Shadows (PS3) 14.98

Saw behind glass stickered at 29.98:
HELLS HIGHWAY 360 x2
Last Remnant x4

I can confirm that at my Target (and I'm assuming at all Targets) that a game must be scanned by someone actually doing markdowns (with a pricetag printer) before it's marked down at the store. Once it's scanned, all copies will be that price (even without the sticker). Found a copy of Silent Hill Homecoming 360 that someone had hidden and it scanned at $29.98. Found an employee doing clearance markdowns in baby clothes and asked her to scan it. A new sticker automatically printed and she covered the old price with $14.98. I rescanned at a price checker and it had gone down.
