This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

i'm pretty sure you can as other usb dongles work with the harmony like the bluwave by nyko. although logitech is coming out with a specific hub that doesnt take a usb port on the ps3 that works with the harmony

Nothing interesting at the Jersey City store when I went the other day. A lot of different Psyclone accessory packs (that were still overpriced for the junk they make), Two Worlds Epic Edition for $9.98, and the Dewey Dox UMD for $4.98.

One target I went to had the 360 version for $34.98; unfortunately, the price was only shown on the "endcap price announcement sheet", but there weren't any on the floor.
 
Has anyone found a Rock Band SE for PS3 at the magical $34.98 price point? My Target has one in stock... but it's still ringing up at $69.98.

OK guys, anyone who can get me Bioshock :ps3: at $19.99 I will pay you for it, plus s/h and $5 for your time. Or, Ill send you a brand new copy I have that is the PAL version and make a straight trade. I know its silly, but when it comes to collecting, I get a little obsessive and weird. I want my box to say "M" ...anyways, PM me if your interested

Yup i punched in the numbers and the 3 stores i wen today 360 rockband came up st 34.99 but out of stock of course!.... ps3 still at $69.99 a few still in stock... hopefully they will drop soon

Just a heads up, SC4 is 29.99 new/24.99 used at GameCrazy now.. so in case you can't find it at the magical $12.48 point, it's not much more expensive to get a copy :)

Found a surprise in this clearance pile. GTA4: Lost & Damned "AS-IS" clearance for $14. Looks like the package was an attempted shrink as they mega-taped the packaging closed. Figured if they are selling it AS-IS the token card must at least be unused. Had no qualms about picking it up as I was wanting to get it anyway. Sure enough the token card was still in-tact and it included the poster. Nice.

First of all, there is a thread for trading Target games.

Second of all, don't hold your breath. Fracture was one of the few games you could go to any Target and get if you wanted it.
 
Slightly off topic: Someone in this thread mentioned getting a $10 off $100 in Electronics coupon. I've been looking over the last 10 pages but I can't find the post. Anyway, I just got one in the mail last night. I'm in Maryland, so others should be on the look out. This will definitely come in handy if you plan to purchase any games during the current buy 1 get one 50% off select titles promotion.

Store I went to had the motherload of Hello Kitty walkmans, shelf after shelf, it was ridiculous.

Afro samurai 41.98 and singstar abba 19.98 pretty much nothing else though. Lame.

today went to my local target today and got rockband ps3 bundle for 35 dollars just went down today, singstar abba ps3 for 10, soul calibur 4 for ps3 for 12, and rock revolution for ps3 for 5, sweet deals

Checked the same PS3 rockband bundle at my local target couple days ago and was still $97 ..... wished they would drop at mine cause wanting to snag a cheap RB set
 
PS3 Rockband bundle was $69.xx here. Bummer, $30 would be a steal ;)

I did snag a copy of Guitar Heroes : Aerosmith for $9.99 though.

Also saw Abba at 19.99, and Afro Samurai at $41.xx

No drops at the Wilsonville, OR store today. Wonder if it's because they have a new person working the electronics in the afternoon now. The previous clerk got a new job at Wells Fargo.

Actually it seems that DS games tend to be select clearance. During the fall people reported zelda and advanced wars on clearance. I never saw a drop at any of my targets and they actually still have them in the cases for full price.

I finally got the game I was looking for, :360: TR:U for $15. It was the last 360 copy too. They have a ton of copies for the PS3 though. They were behind the glass case so I didn't check the price.

Other than that, it's pretty much cleaned out as always at the local Target here.
 
XBlades red clearance stickered at 41.98 today. Behind the glass case with a Clearance tag over the SKU on the shelf. This game must've bombed!

PS3 had naruto and afro samuri at the 41 pricetag.

wish i could find a copy of Tomb Raider or Last Rem, but none of the targets in my area have any
 
went to target foothill lake forest and irvine, looking for last remnant and some cheap gh guitars. Saw nothing. Bought Aerosmith game instead for 10$
 
I'm starting to see what everyone is complaining about with this thread. How many posts do we need confirming that Xblades is $41.98? There's been twenty posts about it on each of the last ten pages.

It's not about confirming as much as it is telling where you found said item on clearance. A lot of deal hunters will travel to get their deals, and I see nothing wrong with posting where you found it and that it's in stock at said location.

Also, stop trying to backseat mod, I sure as hell don't see "Moderator" anywhere around your name.
