This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I believe the general consensus is that it's store-dependent -- there is no fixed schedule. From reading this thread and from personal experience I'd say Mondays occur far more frequently than other days, but that's just me.

The 22" Monitor by Westinghouse is already at $ 124.98 (50% off). I got the display so another 30% off, but the CA e-WASTE fee is $ 16. :(

I've missed many a deal in my area by going Mondays. It turns out, that Fridays seem to be the big day for stores around me. But it's very YMMV, and I'm not convinced that Friday is the only day even for my stores. I'm going to try and watch that more closely this time.
 
Honestly, it can be any day of the week. You'll need to scout your local Target to get a feel of when they usually do it. However, the norm does seem to be Monday morning/afternoon.
 
^^Yeah, mine either. I've been waiting for the Rock Band USB Hub and Pysclone PS2 Power Cord to drop to 75% for my friend but they have stayed at 30% for a while now.

Traditional Holiday clearance schedule
50% off day 1-3 after holiday.
75% off some on day 3, most on day 4-6, post holiday
90% off on day 6 or 7 after holiday for 2 days.

Other than Christmas this is the schedule used for holiday clearance, including Valentine's Day, Global Bazaar, Easter, Summerville/Random Acts of Summer (aka 4th of July), and Halloween.

The schedule varies from store to store, just because one store goes 75% off on day 3 does not mean yours is.

I didn't see this mentioned yet or on the front page. If it's already been mentioned, my apologies. I saw an 80GB Black Zune [DPCI: 057-10-1176] on clearance ($195.48) this evening while looking for Mirror's Edge.

 
Did pickup a Rock Band USB hub for 75% off at $4.98. The usual clearance in stock and SingStar ABBA still at $19.

my target still has singstar abba at 19.98 too (2 copies). this is going to turn out like when i wanted uncharted, it would never drop past the 29.98 price and were gone cause i kept waiting.

my watch list so far is:
intec ps3 hdmi kit (34.98 for two weeks so far) this drops under 20 i'll bite
sinstar abba (19.98 two weeks) come on 10 bucks!!!
power squid 5 port outlets (20.98 right now originally 34) seen as low as 15 on web
plastic psp umd cases (7.98 now want it at 5)
 
Saw Blazing Angels 2 (360) for $14.98 today...nothing else new. Didn't bother picking it up, maybe if it hits $7.48 or below.

There was a bunch of copies of Dark Sector for the 360 for $13.98. I counted six, but there was a few more in the cheap games aisle, so I think they might have 10 copies or so.

Because different stores clearance games at different times. At one of my locations, FarCry 2, Mirror's Edge, and Dark Sector aren't on clearance, where as at another store they are.

Plus sometimes the clearance games are re-stocked, a Target near me clearanced Dark Sector, then got it back at $19.99 (non-clearanced) and now it's on clearance again. Crazy.
 
Just got back from my Target.

I picked up a copy of Army of Two for $13.87.

They had a Soul Calibur 4, but it was still $3x.xx. I checked it with the price scanner since it was stickered that way. It was the last copy, so I stashed it, in case they finally drop it to the $13 soon.

You could, but that's not a bad price at all for a 4-port hub anyway.

We have those on sale here too, the other movies I saw were T2, Total Recal and 3:10 to Yuma (great movie BTW).. I'm not to crazy about the 2 Arnold movies, our Walmarts here have those in the $10 Bluray cheap movie section.
 
Has there been an issue with the site lately? I keep clicking Page 168 and it keeps putting me on page 167...

Anyways, I've seen the HDMI/Blu-Ray/Remote bundles for $34.98 around me still.

I had the same issue a few days ago, but then changed the posts per page to show to 100 (or whatever the most is). I still saw the problem once since then, but it's an improvement over the 5-6 times I saw it before.

It doesn't seem like Electronics markdown is Heavy this week at all.

What about some PC games?

They marked those down this week?

my target has t2, 310 to yuma and transporter 2. when it drops again (still at 34) i'll trade with someone. I want 310 to yuma.

Yeah, I was at two Pittsburgh area Targets last Friday and Saturday (4/3-4/4), and both had the PS3 SingStar ABBA at $20 still.

If any other CAGs in the area are looking for this game (and want to see if the new week made it drop to $10), I believe the store in Harmar still has four copies.
 
Long Answer:
I picked it up for $14.xx and I've liked it -- I haven't finished it yet though as I got a little burnt out; there is a lot of driving involved and if you die you have to start back at your safehouse and drive the entire way again. The game isn't overly hard and there are some neat aspects to it. It's got beautiful landscape game and is fun to play once you're in the fighting.

Short Answer:
Yes; if you like games that are as much scenery as they are action. Otherwise wait for the next drop where it'll be a definite.

Afro Samurai still at $41.98; Rapala fishing at 24(?) -- waiting for drops!
 
The Target on Route 1 in the Quakerbridge Mall, NJ had at least 8 copies of Mirror's Edge for $27.XX and one Sonic Unleashed (no price). Nothing worth getting excited over.

Sorry, I threw the receipt away already :(

They had a few though in different colors near the regular accessories; I noticed that they don't move the clearanced accessories out of the regular section at my store.
