This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I paid more than $12.50 and I still had fun with the game. It's the best Sonic game that I've played in a while anyway. You already know it's not something incredible, but it's not that bad.

I heard only 2 or so levels are good (including the demo level) and the rest are junk, I passed on it at $12. If not for the $10 Best Buy sale I may have bought it.. but I'd rather save that $12 for something I'll probably enjoy more.

Finally scored a good deal at Target yesterday. I got Endless Ocean(Wii) for $14.98. I had a gift card with $7 on it so that slashed the price in half.

It was at the Target on Pines Blvd. There were about four copies left. The rest of the Wii titles were shovelware. I saw a few 360 games but didn't look through them. Finally, they had a PSP double pack with Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon for $20.

All new copies of Afro Samurai come in a slip cover.

I haven't seen anyone say anything about this but I picked up the last copy of MLB Manager (360) for $5.07 was the sticker price. They also had one copy of Silent Hill: Homecoming (360) $7.48, and DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Wii) $9.98 which wasn't adjusted on the front either. I walked away with DBZ and MLB Manager. I would have picked up Silent Hill but I snagged it for $10 during the Best Buy deal. :/ Unfortunatly, I think my time is up on trying to snag a Mirrors Edge (360) for $10.

LocoRoco 2 was also on clearance now at $14.98 I believe. It might have been $13.98.

Just a heads up, the DPCI for the $149.98 Sony Blu-ray player is incorrect in the OP. It should be:

008-06-1050 Sony Blu-Ray Player BDP S3-50

So how is this Blu-Ray player? I've been looking to get a stand alone player (since I'd rather just wear out my PS3 drive with games only), and was wondering if anyone here has had first hand experience with this player?

it's garbage. every one we've sold at my store has been returned. Something about it bricking itself on one of the firmware updates.

I just updated tonight from 7.1.xx to 7.4.xx seemingly without issue. I tried several of my s to give it a quick test and all seems kosher. Several reviews online were very positive about this player. Powers on and loads quickly.

SilentStryk09: Is it the same person returning all these players? If it is, I wonder if that person is allowing the update to finish properly. How many of these players did your store have in stock? I've only seen a 4 at a store total and that was well before the 50% off mark.

If you're interested in this player, do a Google search for "BDP-S350" and see what reviewers say. Also check Amazon's reviews on the item. Some of those can be helpful.

Chicago-area Targets officially suck for clearance stuff. I'm going to try and find a Mirror's Edge 360 for my buddy for his birthday. The only thing I've bought for myself recently was 007: Quantum of Solace PC for $7.48. Everything else has been games in the vein of Barbie Horse Adventures. Yuck.

I disagree. The 350 is the entry level but very competent Sony Blu Ray player. While it lacks on-board memory, you can buy an external memory stick which allows it to handle BD-Live content. I have had one for a year now and it works perfectly and delivers the same audio and video quality as the higher end Blu Ray players I have seen from Sony and other manufacturers.

BOS is the only thing I think that went down. I think it was $39.98 the week or 2 before. Smackdown 2009 for the I think has multiplied / reproduced while sitting on the shelf. There were only 10 or so copies the week before. I didn't see any Banjo N&B. I was hoping a copy would stick around. Oh well. I had to go to the bank near here anyway so it wasn't a wasted trip.
