This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I was at the Hagerstown, MD Target on Sunday and saw 2 copies of Wheelman PS3 for $14.xx. I bought one of them for myself, leaving one there. I think I saw 2 360 copies of Prince of Persia for $30. I also saw a TON of GH3 360 for $15.
 
i finally got PoP and MKvsDC for $14.98 a piece for x360. GH3 was $7.98, Wheelman ps3 was still 29. No Afro's, NBA 2k9 was on clearance $29 for 360, ps3 rockband 2 $29.


i was hoping afro would have hit 15 but someone snagged them all at $30....there was about 6 copies on friday, now there was none.

Who knows? But the Fair Lakes Target always has a bunch of as-is marked stuff. A few days ago there was a Natural Born Killers DVD for 2.58 or something, not too shabby. I picked up a Criterion Fear and Loathing DVD for like 5 bucks because the shrink wrap was slightly torn.

Nooo! My target has been having some massive construction/re-design going on for quite a while now, and the video game clearance section had stayed in the same spot...until today. I went in and the electronics section was on the opposite side of the store and there was not a clearance video game to be found anywhere in it.

I'm assuming they probably just got rid of all of the clearance video games and I'm going to have to wait a few weeks until the current stock goes on clearance. It's too bad, I was hoping to be able to grab Scene-It! for around $20.

MKvsDC was for 14.98? holy cow!!!
 
yeah i snapped it up, i had checked it last week and it was still like $34/$42 or something, and then it was all of a sudden $14.98 so hell i'm grabbin it...last copy too.
 
Thanks again to the Target Thread. I picked up a copy of Prince of Persia for $14.98 in Frisco TX (El Dorado & Tollway). I think there were probably 10 copies left.

I did not see any copies of Afro Samurai, as that seems to be popular on here of late.

Typically 3 weeks between drops, but Target Clearance Law applies: When you check the price often, it doesn't drop...when you don't check the price often, it drops and somebody else buys it.

Went to tbe Valparaiso Target and picked up PoP for $14.98 and cancelled my Amazon order. Saw a plethora of GH3 at $7.48 and SvR 09 at $27.98. Tiger Woods 09 Wii @ $34.98.

Merrillville is slim pickings at the moment.

That's EXACTLY what has happened to me 3-5 times now with Target, which is why I'm glad Sears and Kmart around here have been decent for clearance items. If I had to rely on either Target or TRU to get clearance games from, I'd end up going back to paying retail or waiting for MSRP drops in no time, since both of those stores around here suck for grabbing clearance from.

You can always PM me if you're looking for something and can't find it, I check that same Target. (along with the one on Custer & 121 and Preston & Gaylord)

You're lucky you have a K-Mart. There isn't one within a hundred miles of my house.
 
Just a heads up, saw the Boom Pods priced at $6.96 I think, half of what the OPs list states.

This was at Austin NW Supertarget.

I'm guessing all of them closed around you when they closed down a bunch during their bankruptcy restructuring?

They closed 2-4 around here too, though none were ones I had hit in forever, so it wasn't a big loss for me. Plus, most of them were 20-40 miles from here.
 
I just visited the Washington Square Target in Tigard, OR. I grabbed Prince of Persia for $14.95 for 360 (still $39.99 for ps3). I noticed they had a lot of FEAR2 for 360 for $34.99 as well as House of the Dead Overkill for the same price. I may bite on those when they drop further, but it was nice to get POP after looking several weeks for it at that price.

I found that same oddball NBK deal here in the Atlanta area. I grabbed it. You got a total steal on that Fear & Loathing DVD. Awesome.

I also recently found a few copies of The Bourne Ultimatum marked AS IS for something under $2! I grabbed one of those, too.

wilkes-barre pa had prince of persia (360) for 14.95,afro samurai for 14.95 and guitar hero 3 for 7.95 both 360 versions...couple other games marked down but nothing spectacular

I don't think they're clearancing it. They've moved it over with the "bargain" games at $29.99, and they don't usually put those on clearance.
 
I spoke a bit soon on Merrillville.

Saw :360: Prince of Persia at $27.98, 50 Cent: BotS at $41.98 and Left 4 Dead at (I believe) $34.98. Along with the same :wii: Tiger Woods 09 at the same price as Valpo.

Certainly keeping an eye out for 50 Cent. Once that hits $15, I'm snaggin' it.
 
saw POP for 360 for $15 and L4D for $20

Someone bought all the afros and Mortal Kombats that they had since last week. WTF!! I hate people.

One day, I want to get these deals before someone beats me to them, and then I will buy them all just so they can walk away disappointed for once. Just so they start to get all paranoid and think they have competition and stay up all night waiting outside target for the store to open.

I just wanted 1 afro and one MK/dc.

I saw that Fear 2 is @ $27. I'm thinking about getting it now and return/rebuy when they drop.
 
Both Targets in my area suck with clearances. L4D, Afro, MK/DC, HoTD:O, PoP, and Wheelman are all at normal prices. I'm glad I'll be able to pick up L4D finally this Sunday for $37 instead of $60.

Can't speak for the redmond/Kirkland areas, but the South Sound Tacoma/federal Way areas have deals once in a while. Most copies of good games disappear at 50%, if they event last that long. I think the target buyers for this area don't buy many copies to begin with. So by the time clearance rolls around, they is about 2-4 copies to start with.

I would honestly do that if I saw that lady again. (If it was at my Target) Then she'd put them back and I'd buy them. ICEE and all.

Struck out at 3 different Targets today. All of them had PoP for $29.98. Two had MK v DC for the same price, while one lagged behind with $41.98 :cry: Guess I'll try again after work on Monday.
