This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

A couple of Targets in my area finally made the drop to 50% off for SO. I already picked it up or I would be hoping for a seemingly improbable drop to 75% off.
 
I saw Ninja Blade for $27.98 today.
Also, non-GOTY edition Left 4 Dead is $34.98.

Only real noteworthy titles I took note of.
Found at store in Shoreview, MN.

Yeppers thats it .... I just got back with another one from another Target for my wife. Was marked $29.xx but scanned $9.xx .... looked for Gran Turismo but didnt have it ..... did have 3 Rachets in stock but decided to pass cause still have prolly 10 games at least i really havent played at all yet.

I saw a few copies of Prince of Persia (360) for $14.98, and it was in a bin that said "30% off marked prices" or something like that. Will the 30% off apply to the $14.98?

No, unless it means additional 30% off. $14.98 is already 75% off. You will get what is on the red sticker. The clearance section usually doesn't change the 30% sign since most clearance items start at 30% (or 15%). Scan it at the price scanner to check the price, that is usually what would ring up at the register. Very rarely does it not, but they'd price adjust to give you the cheaper value (if it rings up cheaper or if the price is cheaper on the clearance sticker).
 
Yeah, PSP games don't make the drops as often, it seems. Star Ocean and Loco Roco 2 have been sitting at 27.98 and 13.98, respectively, for a few weeks now ($7.48 or bust for LR2 for me). It's a little ridiculous. Secret Agent Clank also seems to be stuck at $27.98.

I've seen LR2 for $9.98. Torn on whether it's worth it for that or not, though, so haven't grabbed it. It looks more like it should be a 99 cent iPhone game than a $9.98 PSP game to me.

All of the copies of Secret Agent Clank that were around here seem to have disappeared at $27.98. :whistle2:(
 
Finally picked up LIPS for 12.48. It took a bit of work, as I had to buy from store x, return to store y, and rebuy the following morning.

Ya, I really want Star Ocean, but everytime I scan it, it's the same damn $27.98 it's been stuck at for weeks.
 
Finally picked up Afro Samurai at $14.98. As far as I know, only 3 Targets in my area had any copies left (including this store). I usually don't go to this Target so I'm glad that I was in the area. I found Secret Agent Clank at $19.98 for the first time.

The Target in Inglewood, CA has 1 copy of AS at $14.98. The clearance section is in the DVD section. They also had PoP at the same price. They had a whole stack of clearance games in the glass case ala K-Mart but only PoP was visible. : /
 
Man this site is getting a little annoying. All I ever read is people whining about how something was already posted and attacking new people for it. Who cares really? What do we want just a total of like 5 or 6 active threads? Chill out people. Good effort OP, but most of the people here are ungrateful for effort. Thats why I hardly ever post.

Since the price is a CLEARANCE item and YMMV (Targets drop at a different rate, they're not universal, and not everyone's Target will have a copy).

The reason for the clearance threads is to cut down on the clutter AND eliminate deceiving thread titles like the one for this post. The poster even NOTES it had a clearance sticker.

While I agree the bickering is a little over the top, the threads for the store handle YMMV stuff so as not to bog down the board with "deals" 15 people can have.

Damn. That's a fast drop for L4D. The Targets in my area that have it on clearance, still have it at 30% off.
 
Found about 30 copies of PoP for 15, 10 fear twos for 27, bunch of shovelware wii games which no one on CAG should care about. Need for speed for xbox and wii for 27. Also wheelman ps3 for 32 and smackdown for xbox 27.

Has anyone seen the Scene It: BOS bundle for $9.98 and Sonic Unleashed for $12.48 in the Chicagoland area? ...just checked the list and I must ask mostly out of surprise...Has anyone seen Halo Wars LE for 20.98 as well!? (I don't know why, but that really surprises me)
 
I remember going to Target like a week ago in Chicagoland area and saw Scene It: BOS bundle for the PS3 or 360 for 20.48. I didn't see the Sonic Unleashed there.
 
Sorry if its already been posted, but at the Greenbrier Targets location in Chesapeake VA, they had 10+ copies of "Prince of Persia" for the 360 for only 15 bucks, since they had so many i ended up buying 2 and flipped them both at Best Buy for 80.

They also had L4D on the clearance rack for 35, Banjo Kazooie for 20, and a few newish PSP games (Like Star Ocean 1/2, and old stuff like Parappa the Rapper) for 10-15 bucks.

Yay, it was markdown day here. The only bad part is that I missed out on WWE 2009. I was waiting to see if it dropped today to $12.48 and it did, but they were all sold. What wasn't gone were:

Your store is 2 or 3 drops from anything near me. The $9.98 PSP games have been $27.xx for a month.

They were 27.98 here just yesterday too. They seemed to skip a drop in between. I wasn't expecting them to drop that fast today either. Not that I'm complaining. :)

Left 4 Dead went from $34.98 to $12.48 overnight too.
 
I didn`t see much. Most games were still too pricy. I picked up PoP for 14.98 which was pretty cool, but MKvDCU, SR2 and Ninja Blade were all still around 30. Hopefully they get another drop soon.
