This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

they are usually on a end cap in the back of the store sort of near the gaming section. Anyway i grabbed Saints row 2 for 12.xx and POP for 14.xx.

For you Colorado CAGS I got it at the Target in Loveland, CO. They had a 'ing lot of them too! I almost got 2 for some flippage. Should turn out to flip pretty well!

if its a 360 game, I try to wait till the 75% hits. But if its a DS game, I have no problem grabbing it at 30% or 50% off

If its a game I really want or hard to find I'll pick up two copies at 50% off. Then when the system finally drops the game to 75% off, if there are no copies left, I return and hopefully rebuy the game. If I can't find it again, then I've still got a copy at 50% off.

Amazing deals. I found these by accident, they moved the video game clearance more towards the DVD and book area.

I have way too many sealed games in my backlog and I really don't need another game. However, I've got to have Left 4 Dead for the $12.48 price. I'm going to search high and low throughout the state of Maryland until I find it. After that, no more new games for me until I start to open and play some of the 25+ games in my backlog.

I love CAG and I love Target, but knowing about all these sub-$15 games really has me purchasing way too many games. After I get L4D, I'm going to stop until (Batman Arkham, Halo 3: ODST, and Modern Warefare 2).

If anyone is willing to help (should have asked a while ago), I'm looking for some more of these Dane Elec 512MB USB drives. (Ignore that the link shows a 2GB - the 512 looks identical.) They are various shades of blue (light or dark) and were clearanced out a while ago.

I could use 2-3 more. Kind of weird/odd request, and I know I could get bigger drives, but this is for a very specific purpose, and really just 512 is needed, and if anyone still had these at their store, please let me know.

Also if anyone has some of the MS Laser mice that got clearanced, let me know. I was hoping they'd drop to below $10 and then I could snag one.

Man.. NFS Undercover left my store at $24.98, didn't even get the chance to drop lower. I'd love to run across that for >$20, that game is awesome.

I went to the Cool Springs, TN Target yesterday.. saw a HUUUUUUUUUGE stack of 360 games.. I was like "Hell yes! This store's great for clearance games!".. then saw that it was about 40 copies of Guitar Hero 3 (x360) for $7.48. They had two copies of 50 Cent, but one of those copies had been slit on the side and the game was gone. They were at $41.98.

They also had a copy of Lips unmarked for $24.98.

I was there last night, must have just missed you. Yeah. I thought I saw a non-GotY L4D in the case behind the GotY versions, but when I got the employee to open the case, it turned out that the red banner was just hidden from view.

Thanks for this, picked those up for me and my brother in law this morning.

Kennewick had several copies left of Prince of Persia 360 for 14.98, didn't notice much else on clearance of note.

Richland, WA had:

4 or 5 more copies of L4D 360 for $12.48
1 copy of Saints Row 2 360 for $12.48
1 copy of Rock Band 2 PS3 I believe for $12.48 also.
Several copies of Smack vs Raw 2009 360 for $12.48 as well.
There were also several copies of Mortal Combat V DC 360, but I can't recall the price, was $14.98 or 19.98 somewhere around there.
Also several copies of Prince of Persia 360 left for $14.98. There were a copy or two of Wii House of The Dead Overkill for I want to say $19.98, also 1 copy of Wii Dead Rising, can't remember the price, maybe $24.98. Was 3 copies of PSP Star Ocean behind the glass for $9.98. 2 or 3 copies of PSP LocoRoco something for $4.98 also behind the glass.

Picked up the last copies of Banjo 360 and Scene It BOS there for $9.98 each.

The 2 Targets near me are so expensive in clearance. Saints Row 2 PC is $29.99 in one location and $19.99 in the other location. Smackdown vs Raw 2009 $24.98 and same as Need For Speed. In the Chicagoland area Targets is there still Saints Row 2 for the Xbox 360? I can't really find it in the 2 locations i checked.

I got the last copy of Star Ocean SE at the Peoria, Illinois Target. Couldn't believe it was $10 since it retails for $40 everywhere else! I guess it must have really bombed for them to clearance it to $10 so quickly.

I would totally pick up a copy of Scene It! BOS, Secret Agent Clank, and Star Ocean: SE if I didn't like practically 3 hours away from Peoria...stupid Chicago and its lack of deals!

...I did visit the Brickyard Target today and they had a few copies of NFS: Undercover for $12.48 and a few copies of PoP for $14.98 (both 360) ...those were the only real games of note.

I just picked up Guitar Hero III on the 360 for $7.48 on clearance at Target.

It was the one in Portland OR at Jantzen Beach. They had ~7 copies left.

Decided I'd go to Target and see if I could find L4D, and there were 2 left. So I picked one up since I didn't have it. Oddly enough I was trying to trade for this game a few days ago, but I guess it worked out better this way.

Also 8-packs of Energizer batteries extremely cheap (the ones with the breast cancer thing on them, didn't even know any Targets still had these.)

My local Target is garbage. They don't carry many titles to begin with, and what they do carry will tend to be the popular titles that get sold anyway. My clearance section is full of PS2 games and Wii crap. They have one glass cabinet each for Xbox 360 games and one cabinet for PS3 games (though they don't fill it up all the way, the bottom shelves are usually consoles and whatnot). They have two cabinets for Wii!!!!

Actually, I think the standard format for Target is 2 Wii cases, 2 DS cases, 1 360 case, 1 PSP case, and 2 PS3 cases (with the 2nd case being half games and half Blu-Rays). When you think about it, it's actually a decent breakdown considering the Wii and DS are the two top selling systems.

If you think about it, the "garbage" Targets are actually pretty smart when it comes to video games since they don't have a lot of titles to clearance out.

saw Monters vs. Aliens 360 for $12.48 today, PSP twin back with GRAW for $20.48, PoP still chillin at $14.xx, Riddick is at $40.98 360, Saints Row 2 360 is at $24.xx
