This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

So I stopped by 3 targets in Irvine, CA today since I was in the area and saw quite a few copies of Ninja Blade, 50 Cent, Fear 2, Riddick, and GH3 for the same prices as listed elsewhere in this thread. Also saw a couple of copies of Dead Rising Wii and Tom Raider Underworld for PS3 for $20, and a few copies of Pokemon Emerald and Sapphire for $25. I was hoping to find a copy of NFS:Underground and another L4D for a friend, but couldn't find any.

I went back to 2 targets I went to yesterday that I knew had at least 10 copies of NFS, but I wasn't able to find them anymore. I'm not sure if somebody bought them all or if they were moved to a different store
 
If anyone is willing to pick me up a copy of Saints Row 2 and Mortal Kombat vs DC for the 360 at the discounted price and ship it to me here in Canada please PM me. I of course will pay for the shipping.
 
I have found Wheelman, Rock Band 2, MKvsDC at the Target closest to my house on Long Island, and at the Target at Broadway Mall I found GH:WT, Rock Band 2, Loco Roco 2, FEAR 2, and Afro Samurai(one copy which I thankfully got) That is all worth noting. If anyone has found Halo Wars LE or Ninja Blade for the clerance price at a Long Island Target, I would apperciate if you could email me which one it is. (My email is [email protected])

Woo! Another Irvine CAG. Do you hit up the Targets at the Crossroads (Barranca/Culver), The District (Jamboree/Barranca), and The Marketplace (Jamboree/Bryan)? Those are the only 3 I know of within local driving distance for me.
 
Target in Madison Heights, MI by Oakland mall has 6 copies of L4D left $12.48 each. I was able to finally find a copy at that location.

One more thing the target in Madison heights, mi moved their game clearance section to an endcap between the books & Dvd's. It took me 15 min to find it.
 
anyone is SoCal still able to find Halo Wars LE? I was finally able to snag AS and MK vs DC for $14.xx each. WHOO!!! a lot of targets i've gone to have had GH3 pop up outta nowhere and their all going for $7.xx. along with NFS and SvsR09 popping up out of the ether.
 
In case anybody was wondering, Target in Rowlett had 2 copies of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 for the Wii for $14.98, which can be flipped for $15 at GS(before 30% + Edge), which would be a good deal if you take advantage of the 30% extra trade in credit for buying some games based on Movies.(Batman:AA, Ghostbusters, RE5, + some more).

All I ask is that you leave Overkill there to drop so I can pick it up on the cheap. :lol:

Yeah those are the 3 I goto whenever I'm in Irvine. I also hit up 3 of the ones in Lake Forest when I need to be in the office and frequent a few in the Costa Mesa/Huntington Beach/Garden Grove area since those are closer to where I live.
 
Today I found 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (360) for $21 but I was walking away from the register wondering why I paid so high for my basket of stuff. I looked at my receipt and it turns out that it rang up for $41. I went over to customer service to get it figured out and she told me the clearance sticker was actually for Tomb Raider Underworld for PS3. She ended up giving me the difference back but not before calling up the electronics lady to make sure all the copies I saw got fixed. I also got Afro Samurai for $15 at another Target on the way to Best Buy (the one copy the other Target had was too beat up). I was also hoping to get NFS: Undercover when it reached $20 or less but both Targets were out.
 
I saw 50 cent BOTS for 29.98 at the target by my house. No other good games. There were 4 Saints Row 2 but all gone. I never saw Lord of the Rings nor Halo Wars on clearance at any targets in socal. I did snag one of two copies of 007 QOS for the ps2 at 7.98. Waiting for 50 cent to drop a little more before i attempt to buy it. Wish there were afro samurai, MK vs DC and LOTR around. =(

My local Target had a few copies at that price as well, along with a few copies of Need For Speed: Pro Street (also PS3) for $13.98.
 
Welp, according to the stock checker, there's a single Target with any copies of L4D within 60 miles of me. Guess I should have gone after work last night when my local stores had some listed :bomb: Anyone picking up extras for CAGs?
 
Forgot to mention in my last post, also had PS3 Burnout Paradise for either 10 or 12.

Also, both Reading stores didn't seem to have L4D but I normally don't pay too much attention to the 360 games...
 
I finally found a copy of Saints Row 2 for $12.48 at the Tempe Marketplace Target. It had notoriously been $24.98 for the past few weeks at all the Targets I normally go to.

Also in a less game related note, I found a Samsung a127 AT&T Go Phone for $12.48 (75% off) DPCI: 080020631 last Thursday (Last one at Ocotillo store). I grabbed it as a backup since it has a camera.
 
Scored Secret Agent Clank (9.98) and Loco Roco 2 (4.98) for the PSP last night. Passed on Star Ocean Second Evolution for 9.98 as I'm not much of a RPG guy... Thanks for taking my money, yet saving me a a lot at the same time Target.

I haven't seen a single copy of Halo Wars LE at any of my locals, at any clearance price. I have however, seen it on clearance at BB for $34.98 if that helps any.
 
Some of these Target clearance games qualify for the "trade 3 get fight night 4 free" Gamestop deal. If you can find Banjo, Lord of the Rings, and Lips you can get Fight Night for $32($10+$10+$12). I also noticed that some of the recent BB $10 clearance sale games were on the list also (Quantum of Solace, Pure, etc.) I picked up LOTR only cause I found it for $10, not because I wanted it...bye bye LOTR, hello fight night4.

Doh... the Casa Grande, AZ Target had Banjo and Secret Agent Clank too.
 
Saw these added to the Clearance shelf at one of the 3 Targets that I frequent:

They had more than 20 of Burnout, so I am hoping that it makes it to the next drop, even though that game is more than worth $14.

Yeah, there are a bunch that could hit $12.50 in a week or two like 360 Fear 2. Also, PS3 TR Underworld which could hit $7.50 but it's going to take at least 3+ weeks for that one to happen. The deal ends 7/12/09 so some of these drops might not happen in time.

More likely someone came in and bought up all the stock at once. By the end of day yesterday, my local stores were pretty much wiped out of the most popular titles.
 
Haha someone was hiding some of the games I needed for this deal.

I found Monsters Vs Aliens for $12.48 (360) and NCAA Basketball 09 $14.98 (PS3) They were hidden very well. I also spotted Loco Roco 2 for $5 (PSP)

I also got NFS: Pro Street for $13.98 (PS3) But I am now reading that it's not a game I can trade in. Oh well. I may keep it.

So if the guy in Spring Valley who hid these is reading this...SUCKER!! lol
 
I stashed two of the many 41.98 riddick and 50 cent games at a local target...I feel bad but after going in there everyday to check on them I get worried some dummy is going to pick them up without letting them get the proper pricepoint of 14.xx
 
Slightly off topic...

For those who recently picked up Left 4 Dead and are in need of some players for co-op, you should check out the Left 4 Dead - Gen. Discussion thread. There is not a whole lot of action in the thread at the moment, but I'm sure with the recent influx of new Left 4 Dead owners, that we can bring some added life to the thread.

By the way, I'm looking for some good CAG's to enjoy this game with, so feel free to send me a friend request.
 
checked 6 targets in the east bay area and whole lot of jack squat (not counting the 100+ copies of GH 3)....
If anyone has a spare Tiger woods 09 for 360 Id be willing to pay cost and shipping...

I think Tiger 09 is out of the system now...probably won't find it anymore at Target. Tiger 10 coming out should cause a drop for 09 though.

Well maybe the CSRs are told to deny price adjustments on clearance games, but regardless the system WILL allow them to price adjust these games if they scan the receipt and game. The person who adjusted tonight told me they only adjust within 2 weeks. I told her that this one should qualify. She scanned the receipt, then the game, told me the difference would be put back on my CC. The return receipt clearly said "PRICE ADJUSTMENT" on the top of it.

I have had some success with asking them to Return/Rebuy, but not lately and only in rare occasions. Most stores around here just shut that down.

In either case, I'd just remove the red clearance sticker when trying either of these. Even so the CSR might deny it since the price ends in "8"

No, those 2 titles are on Clearance.
 
I dont feel bad about hiding @ my local Target and heres why :
There are about 5 employees there that have told me that they snag deals all the time. No wonder I hardly ever find anything! One of them told me "the clearance games dont stand a chance around here".

A lot of Targets are keeping more and more clearance items behind the glass case, and it seems to be completely random, or perhaps based more on title than on anything else. In my pick-ups this week, I had to get the electronics guy (after I finally managed to find him, as he'd apparently just wandered off and left the section unattended for 20 minutes) to get Left 4 Dead and Monsters vs. Aliens out from behind the glass for me. All of the other titles I picked up were on the clearance shelf.
