This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Yeah I actually did see one copy of that in Menlo Park. It was behind a bunch of Wii games while i was searching the clearance shelves.

I might actually head back there again tomorrow because I looked online to see if MK was available and it says "Limited Availability".
The employee I asked there for MK was busy talking to a bunch of friends and just told me they ran out without looking, so he obviously cant be trusted.

When I go back I'll take another look for Afro Samurai as well.
 
I was way hyped about Burnout Paradise.. so I went to check my Target with no avail. In fact, there was only one copy left in the display at full price. QQ.

Found five copies of $12.48 Left 4 Dead's behind a couple of GOTY Editions at the Washington, PA Target. I bought one to use for the Fight Night promo at Gamestop and the girl took the other 4 copies to resticker them and move them to the clearence endcap. I was going to pick up 2-3 more copies to sale but my current funds are limited and I ddint want to use my credit card.

I might be close to that area for work tomorrow (would be like 40 minutes round trip and slighty out of my way), would people pay $23.00 a copy via Paypal? If you would PM me and let me know, I leave for work around 8:15 am EST.

fucking-A! I've been stopping at that store for the past 2 weeks to try and find BOS even at $20 and it was never there. I stopped by today and they had some Fear 2's, Ninja Blades, and a few other titles. I was able to grab the last copy of :360: Need for Speed: Undercover for $12.48. At least it wasn't a wasted trip.
 
Went to the Orem, UT store. Kinda out of the way so I don't go there very often. They totally killed their electronics clearance section. I looked everywhere. The only clearance 360 game in the store was a single copy of Monsters vs Aliens for $12.xx behind the glass. Really strange. Anyway, I grabbed it for the Fight Night deal.
 
picked up L4D today for $13.32 after tax

got some money out of the bank and will head back tomorrow to check on some other stuff, namely LOTR and Mirror's Edge
 
Im going to hit up 2 targets tomorrow and check on the riddick and 50 cent game prices, maybe I will pick up ninja blade if it has actually dropped
 
Stopped by a few more targets today and picked up a copy of MvA and the last copy of L4D for a friend. Saw plenty of Ninja Blade, Riddick, 50 Cent, and Fear 2 overall. Was kind of surprised I couldn't find a copy NFS:Undercover and Saints Row 2 from the 7 or 8 stores I've visited the past few days even though I saw plenty of them a week or two ago.
 
Someone hid a Left 4 Dead behind the stereos right next to the clearance section at the Cool Springs, TN Target - it won't be there when they come back for it :). That store still has about 40-50 Guitar Hero III for $7.48 each. The Hermitage Target has about a dozen Smackdown vs Raw 2009 for $12.48 each.
 
SuperTarget in Edmond, OK. Online inventory showed out of stock for L4D, but went in store and there were 5 (now 4) copies behind the GOTY editions. Got it at 12.48. Hurry up though. CSR said he was going to go grab one for himself....
 
I picked up smackdown vs raw , left 4 dead (had to actually ask the clerk to look in the back of the row of GOTY additions to see if they put the new stock in front of the old. Low and behold they had one left...) and Patapon 2. Happy.

Went to Target in Escondido, CA today. They had plent of 50 Cent (360) and Riddick (360) for 41.98, A couple of Fear 2 (360) for 34.98, 4 or 5 copies of Ninja Blade for 27.98, and then of course the inevitable GH III for 7.48. There were no Left 4 Dead, not even the GOTY edition in the whole store.

Managed to nab the last copy of Saints Row 2 for $12.48 at the Corbin Target in Northridge, CA.

I'm yet another CAG looking for Left 4 Dead. I think all the copies in the Valley are gone.

The ones in my area are all gone and one by my house had some a few weeks ago and those are gone too! =( Also looking for MK vs DC but no avail.

Good to see that you picked up L4D. I didn't check the glass case for L4D or I would've posted the info. Maybe that worked out in your favor since someone else might have read it and picked them up. Maybe not since I posted that they had 5 SR2 left and after you picked one up, you posted that they had 4.

Sherman Oaks & Panorama are dry although i did see World Tour for 30 bucks at one of them dont remember which one it was. West Hills has a good amount of 360 games on clearence i saw F.E.A.R 2 for 30, burnout paradise for 13, Ninja Blade for 30, and an assortment of others ...

I walked by the pet food area and saw about 10 PS3 games scattered all about. Either someone dumped them or their stash was discovered by a shopper. Either way I though it was funny.
 
In addition to picking up L4D now I will be getting other games that I see such as 50 Cent, MK vs DC, and Mirror's Edge. I am leaving now so I will report on my findings in an hour.

Long Island CAGs-

There are at least 3 to 5 copies of L4D left at the Farmingdale Target. It's located at 100 Willow Park Ctr, Farmingdale, NY 11735, (631) 962-0270. Ask to see the copies behind the Game of the Year editions in the glass case. I picked up two copies this morning (around 10 am) and saw there were at least 3 copies left. There could've been even more behind them. Seems like no one has taken advantage of the deal cause the guy working there was puzzled by my very specific request to see the non-GOTY copies of L4D and very surprised when he scanned them and they came out to be $12.48.

Summary: 3-5 copies left of L4D at $12.48. Go grab 'em.

If you ask a 'Target Team Member' they will tell you it is the worst thing in the world.

I think it is pretty accurate and that is the problem. Employees and hoarders can hide stuff yet it is still there, which leads to people telling the 'Team Member' to find it and actually work.
