This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I need a headset for my PS3,but Endwar was 49.xx at my local Target.

I think I'm starting to believe all the flippers or employees are taking all the good clearance game. Have yet to see any decent games on the shelves and I hit up Target 4 days straight at one point. All I see is shovel ware PC games and TONS of Xbox 360 games. Poop.

Clearance price drops happen every Monday, but not all titles drop each week. Generally, it appears that there are three to four weeks between drops on an individual title, unless it's something for which they have an excessive quantity that isn't moving.

Well, if nothing is there on Monday (when drops usually occur), there likely won't be anything for the rest of the week. There's always exceptions, and some CAGs report clearance drops on games later in the week, but going to the same Target four straight days is just going to be a lesson in frustration.

Weird thing, two weeks ago they had a ton of games... 50 Cent, Need for Speed, GH World Tour, and a ton of others, some of which were put out that day. Then last Monday all they had was the Endwar bundle. I just found it odd how all those games including GH:WT at only 30% off would disappear especially when many of them had been there for several weeks.

Everything in my store had dropped another price point but most of it was still too much... Saw Riddick and 50 cent had dropped to $29.98, Ninja Blade at $19.98, and FEAR2 at $24.98... Only thing i bought was the Ghost Recon 2/Splinter Cell Essentials 2 pack for PSP, It had dropped straight from $30 to $3.74 which is 85% off.

That's why I couldn't leave Pokemon Emerald when I found 3 copies in a store. I grabbed two and hoped I could find them down the road for cheaper than 24.98.

Huge disappointment for me. Wii and DS shovelware that I don't care about, Ninja Blade for $29.xx, GH:WT PS3 for $29.xx, and Pokemon Fire Red for $13.xx. Fire Red might be worth it, but I think I will wait for the next drop since they have a ton of them. I was also hoping to pick up Bioshock and Sins of a Solar Empire on PC for the price listed in the first post, but they both rang up at $19.99. They were that price at another Target too over the weekend. Those two must be pretty YMMV.

This is the same thing that happened at the Target in Saint Petersburg, FL on MLK, if anyone is wondering. Games dropped to 50% off, and everything is damn near gone. I only managed to grab 50 Cent for $29.98... the Dale Mabry store in Tampa STILL has it for $41.98, and my gf and I are going to co-op it for kicks.

The thing that sucks is lately, barely anything is making it to 50% off... and when it does, that's when it will disappear.

Found a tom clancy end war for ps3 with the free blue tooth mic for $30 in the clearence section!!!!!! it was opened on the top and says sold "as is" on the package but i looked in the box and the game and mic were both in there unopened. i brought the game to a friends house and the mic and game both work! So happy.

I dont have a ps3 but it was just too good a deal considering the mics go for ~$50 alone. I'll be picking up a ps3 soon tho

I haven't tested it, but I read online that if you plug the mic in via USB when you boot the game up, you can remove it and use it wirelessly- again, I might be wrong since i haven't tested it.

GH3 in Daytona beach for $4. Prince of Persia for $7.50, but picked up last copy of POP

Nothing new at 1 of my Targets...had FEAR 2 for $12.48 still, but I already picked that up. I'm hoping the 320GB HDD drops soon.

I found one copy of Pokemon Emerald at $17.48. There was another one but the game had been removed from the box by Pokemon thieves. Every time any type of Pokemon game is removed from protective casing they tend to get stolen - whether it be Circuit City, Sears, or now, Target.

Picked up Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop for $19.98 today. Was the last one at all the Targets I visit and I didn't expect it to be around long enough for another drop.

Some still had FEAR2 at 35, and Riddick at $41. If only I could find HAWX for $12.48.

Overheard the pricing/clearance team in electronics today in Chantilly ... seems they cannot location 100 items to be updated for clearance. Heard one of them say "We are ed!!"... then the other one says "The LRT says it's still in the store.... damn it why are these people stashing games?!?!"

So I guess stashing games has a negative impact on the pricing team. Can you imagine trying to do your job trying to locate and update every item for clearance and can't because people keep on stashing the shit?

This is the first I have heard.

360 Fear 2 @132nd & Maple in Omaha dropped to $12.48 today (was 24.98 over the weekend)...and they had 20+ left after I took mine. Nothing else of interest on the price front.

I wanna pick up NCAA Football 2009 on PS3 as my Target has it clearanced for $20.98. It just got clearanced in June but was wondering how long it usually is until they drop them more? a month? I'm hoping for around $10 and then I'll bite.

Picked em all up for trading fodder. I did see 3 Pokemon Saphire I think [reflective blue case w/ a whale on the front?] for $24. 2 had shrinkwrap the 3rd did not. I also found multiple mutiple copies of Endwar bundles for $44.

Hit 3 and only bit on the Prince of Persia. On hand counts were way off so no more L4D's in my area.

That makes no sense. Both Target and Best Buy have offered the game for $30. I bought it from BB for that price. And neither place sold out at the end of the week.

^ There are a lot of people that don't bargain hunt and/or are big on impulse buys. For example, Deep Discount 25% off sale -- a lot of people will buy something on site thinking they're getting a deal but not checking to see if they could get it cheaper elsewhere.
