This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Picked up the :ps3: Endwar bundle; would've really liked 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand for $14.xx or :wii: Dead Rising for $9.98 -- I'll have to stop at a few more on the way home tomorrow night to check them out.

I'll have to go back tomorrow my usual store, I don't think my target does price changes on Monday's as the prices were the same as last week.

I don't even think my store has Motorstorm: Pacific Rift there, I'll have to check.

Yeah, I dropped by later in the afternoon and there had been no updates. I was hoping for an EndWar drop myself.

Unfortunately they did not. I was there in the morning too, and went back around 4 and the markdowns were done. FEAR 2 was the only one I noticed, but I was in a hurry.

Thanks for the info! I think that darn endwar has been $45 for like a month now! I got up this morning thinking today would have been the day. Maybe next week.
 
The Target near me has been sitting on one copy of House of the Dead: Overkill on clearance for $34 for about two weeks. I hope it drops down further soon, as you can get it new for that price these days if you look in the right places.

headset for me at least is a little uncomfortable but it works more or less, there are better bluetooth headsets, but its for gaming so can't complain. I got mine from the socom bundle when it came out. at 22.xx you can't really beat it as the headset alone retails for like 50 bucks.
 
Saw about a dozen copies of Fear 2 for the 360 for $12.48 at the West Madison, WI Target today.

Also saw Motorstorm Pacific Rift for $41.98. Only two copies though. Probably won't get any lower than $29.99 here.
 
Four more Endwar Bluetooth Bundles left at The District's Target in Irvine, CA at the $22.48 price. Picked up one just for the headset.
 
Both my Targets still have 50 cent and Riddick for $29.98 grr... only a total of 3 and 4 copies left too.

They dropped endwar to $22 but even then I dont' feel like dishing out $22 for the headset though I heard it contains some pretty impressive hardware.
 
in Charleston, SC got the last copy of Fear 2 for 12.48, saw Riddick and 50 Cent for 29., still havent dropped price on dead rising and HOTD wii....but on a crazier note, was right by the clearance section, at around 7 pm, and i saw an open display with LIVE copies of NCAA 2009, so of course i grabbed a 360 copy and tried to buy it, unfortunately the prompt came up and she called over a manager....dangit...but i just bought mine at midnight at GS

Went to a local target Monday night and had FEAR 2 for PS3 get scanned, it was $49.99 will the price drop to $12 like everyone else is getting sometime this week perhaps?

Wait, it's only 360 version? All this time I've been following the FEAR 2 price drops, I thought it was PS3 version only. Oops...
 
Somehow a FEAR 2 popped up at the Target in Stafford today. It wasn't there yesterday. Grabbed it for a fellow CAGer.

Only other change from yesterday is I saw PoP for PS3 at $2x.xx. Meh. Grab the PC version on Newegg for $8 if you're interested in the game.
 
End War bundle finally dropped. The only thing I've actually wanted from this clearance in a while. All the 50cent games were gone...refused to buy at the $14.98 price even with the somewhat decent reviews. I guess they were all bought or donated. Lips was never clearanced around here, and the MK vs. DC were all gone at the first price drop.
 
Went to Target yesterday, and like the 30 copies of fear they had were gone and there was even more copies of Ultimate Band for Wii

I am really hoping to see a lot of these pop up near me...I've been dying to pick up this game cheap for a long time. It's a game I may even drop $30 for depending on how many copies show up.
 
Went to a new Target for me. Got the Endwar Bundle (PS3) for $22.xx and NFS: Underground (Wii) for $12.xx. Also saw PoP (PS3) for $27.xx which was something I hadn't seen in the area before.
 
Just came back and they had:

Riddick xbox 360 for $29.xx
Ninja Blade xbox 360 $19.xx
Motorstorm Pacific Rift ps3 $41.xx

changed
Endwar ps3 $22.xx
Tiger Woods 09 wii $14.xx

and a few others (Don Kings Boxing, Tiger Woods ps2, some psp games, 50 cent, ultimate band)

I ended up picking up the last copy of Civilization 4 for $4.98. Wasn't sure if I should get this one or Civilization 3 from 5 Below.
 
Reston, VA had nothing at all on the shelves that was spectacular in pricing.

Fairlakes, VA did have FEAR 2 for the magic $12.98 though. Everything else was still high.
 
50 Cent & Riddick were still $29.xx at my local Target.

Picked up Fear 2 for $12.48 & Endwar bundle for $22.48. I have zero interest in Endwar, bought the bundle for the headset. Will be trading Endwar to Gamestop to bring the headset price down a little more.

I forget, is .98 or .48 the 'final' clearance price before the items are pulled?

Last I checked Gamestop is only giving $5 for Endwar so at that point you might as well try your luck on ebay or just keep the game.
