This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Hey guys,

The buy one get one half off worked for me at two different Targets (including one in which I purchased several copies of Left 4 Dead that were behind the GOTY editions in the glass case).
 
Picked up Fiddy BotS for $15, Riddick Dark Athena was 1/2 off @ $7.50. Then snagged Hawx for $15, Ninja Blade was 1/2 off @ $5. Traded Riddick, Hawx, & Ninja along with some other crap to GS on their 50% trade-bump promo. Turned $27 cash into $51 GS credit, not mind-blowing, but this was a real easy 2-stop flip. The big surprise was that I actually tried Fiddy (my plan was to trade it as well) and thought it was flat-out hilarious on top of being a decently constructed game. I really can't believe how much I liked it, I mean if you like Gears, you will like Fiddy's game. It's basically a comedy version of Gears, the story is B-movie stupid, but that's what makes it a riot. Believe me when I say I'm not a rap fan, give me Zeppelin any day of the week, but I can't recall a game that I was laughing at and enjoying at the same time like I am with Fiddy. I should hate this, but it's impossible....
 
Ninja Blade still ringing up at 19.98 at my local Target. Also saw they threw in a couple dvds for only .97 with As-Is stickers, most likely YMMV but keep an eye out for those as well.

I thought it opened up on Sunday and today I did an inventory check for something, the Exeter store popped up, I thought hmmm I'm wonder if its open!

Do you know when Red Robin is opening! I love their burgers!! :)
 
Gibsonia, Pa Target had 50 Cent for $14.98, riddick for $29.98, ninja blade for $19.98, Fear2 ps3 for $24.98, Motorstorm $14.98, Motorstorm pacific rift $29.98. i passed on all of them and just bought a bluetooth headset marked down to $9.98
 
Can you return items at different Targets?

I bought Ninja Blade for $20 at one that's far away from me, but the closest Target sells it for $27 so I don't necessarily want to screw a buyer over by returning it there.

You should be able to. I've done it before, a couple years ago. They may have changed the policy since.

Yes, you can return at any Target. I believe it even says so on the back of the receipt.
 
Villa Park, IL had 2x BoTS at $14.98 and 3x Endware bundles for the PS3 at $22.48. I was tempted to pick BoTS up but didn't. Hope some other CAG can pick them up.

If the computer automatically gives you the discount, there is no reason that the cashier should take that sign into account. It just depends on whether you get the discount automatically or not. Now if the cashier had to scan a barcode or type in a code, it would be a different matter (ala BBV, BB and HWV). The Targets in my area don't even have a sign up promoting the sale!

Since they are redoing the toy section at this Target, I guess they found some CAGs hidden stash. I found Spiderman: WoS, Bourne Conspiracy, Viva Pinata: TiP and Silent Hill: HC (all :360:) tagged at 50% off. They all rang "Out of System" but I had one of the employees scan the games with a handheld scanner and he gave me a 75% off price.

I left all the games behind except for Spiderman: WoS and went to go pay. When the clerk scanned Spiderman, he looked for a price tag but the tag was conveniently "missing". 8-[ I told him that the other guy had given me a price of $12.48. After he verified the price, he entered the price manually and I paid. I'm sure that if I had purchased the other games, the clerk would've charged the price on the tags so I guess I was lucky. 8-[
 
The Oaks, Pa., Target had three copies of HAWX for 14.xx. And clearance toys at 15% off. :roll:

Ugh... one Target (Rego Park, NY) I tried didn't have anything for the prices in this thread and I had my wife check another Target (Valley Stream, NY) which also didn't have any of these items on clearance. I really wanted to pick up Riddick and 50 Cent for $14. Wouldn't mind Ninja Blade either. This sucks.

Went to the Target the Spectrum in Irvine.

No good discounts.. all games at 30% or 50% off.

My local Target didn't have a single game in the clearance section. Usually there are a couple, but today it looked like a dog ran through the place. There was a bunch of other stuff scattered around the floor. I also saw the NCF tag on the PS3 Legends of Wrestlemania as someone mentioned earlier.

I did not get DCPI numbers b/c I did not think of that nor did I purchase any games but I will attempt to get them for future reference OP! Had to run-into the Target at Leesburg, VA this afternoon for some supplies.

Happened across the clearance section, and saw at least 8 Endwar PS3 bundles for $22.48

Didn't see much else.
 
I picked up 2 copies of 50 Cent: BotS, thought my friend wanted one but he didn't. Got them for $14.98 (360). If somebody wants one PM me and we can work something out. They also had NCAA Football 09 (PS3) for $7.48 if somebody wants one.
 
I picked up Motorstorm (non-Greatest Hits) for $14.98... it was one that had the red "Greatest Hits" sticker on top of the the plastic but the original packaging.
 
Also, if you return game "x" to a different Target than you bought it from and the place you return it to is cheaper than the other Target they will give you back what you paid for it then they put it on the shelf for their clearance price.
 
If anyone finds the Endwar headset bundle for PS3, I'd gladly pay $30 shipped for it. My headset was recently eaten by the dog. :cry:

Stopped by my Target today and I have to say, they suck for clearance! No EndWar Bundles, Riddick was 39.99 (weird?) and everything else was still full price or just under but nowhere near clearance prices I've seen on here.

Kinda off topic, but food for thought. I picked up the endwar bundle new/sealed on amazon marketplace for $34 shipped and turned around and sold the game for $12.

BTW I hate you little bitches that bash your target for NEVER having any good clearance. They often have good clearance. Its not there fault if you dont find it.

Saw FEAR 2 for 32.98 only one copy at the target by my work. A couple of weeks ago it was 27.xx weird. Saw Riddick at 29.xx, 50 cent BOTS 14.xx, Ninja Blade 19.xx, Naruto 3 psp 19.xx, Motorstorm 2 41.xx, GH 3 14.xx. Some DS games and wii games but did not bother looking at them. Another target near me has Endwar for 22.xx and another had it for 44.xx
 
I saw Motorstorm Pacific Rift at my local target. Only one copy and it was something like $42 on a clearance end aisle that said something like 33% off items
 
I need some advice .

I am in a dilemma . I went to Target to get some black work clothes tonight and saw that there was a 50 cent game that had resurfaced . When I paid the woman at the register needed my ID which never scans in there machine so they always have to call a manager . She proceeded to type some numbers and rang up my order . When I checked the receipt there was no fiddy cent to be found . I don’t know what to do . Should I bring it back and pay for it or just keep it . I think she may have done it on purpose because calling a manager is always a big ordeal .

It's all about your own conscience. If they undercharge you or give you too much change back, how many people really speak up? If you don't return the game, you could always go on a spending spree at Target. It's not the same, but it's something.

Go back and pay for it. You'll feel better, and you'll make everyone's day at the store for being an honest customer not trying to rip them off. I've gone back when I realized I wasn't charged for something (like a chew toy at the pet store that was hidden under a giant bag of dog food) and it is a nice feeling. Also, I'm a firm believer in CAG Karma. Do this, and sooner or later the karmic boomerang will land a nice deal at your feet.

I once walked out of Bestbuy after buying 2 Endwar xbox bundle for $20 bucks each. The cute cashier chick only charged me for 1. I should have realized in the store but I was too busy making small talk. Anyway, in the parking lot, I figured out I had gotten one free, so I went back and her manager was there. I told them, and he gave her a look, and for being a nice honest guy, he gave me the bundle for $10 and she got written up.

I felt like such a dick.:cry:
 
I guess there's the rub.

I suppose that instead of telling someone what happened, you could always take it back and just go through the checkout line again to purchase it.

Yea, I tried, but couldn't. Usually, when I go in the mornings around 9AM, the scanner people are around.
 
I was going to say the best thing you can do is just let it be. If you don't go back then it just goes as a loss, which companies budget for. If you do go back then you will pay for it, and the original cashier will get in trouble. Do you care more about Target or the cashier?
 
I want Riddick, but my stores seems to be keeping the $41.98 price on it. I notice some people mentioning they got it for $14.98, but I am checking like everyday, and its not dropping. I just know when it does drop it will be gone. :cry:

You've already left the store and now home so I say you could just keep it, but if you feel really guilty about it I figure you could go back to the store and let them know. They will probably be shocked and might not care given that an evening has passed. Or they have you on surveillance and setting you up for a fall. hahaha... j/k

I don't think checking everyday is a good idea unless you work or live next door, otherwise you're just wasting gas and time. Check next monday when they usually make the drops. :booty:
