This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Scored a endwar bundle at the Target in Peoria, IL. There was only one left as of 2pm. Then swung by kmart and picked up a guitar hero aerosmith bundle for 7 dollars. Today was a good day... :)
 
Insane score today. Found one of the ASUS EEE mini notebook from the OP. It was tagged $209.xx but scanned at $74.xx! They keep these in the back so possibly that is how it made it to 75% off. Usually as soon as these items make it onto the shelves with red stickers on them they are gone instantly.

DCPI is 080-11-0283 for those looking to score one.

Best part was when it scanned the cashier started freaking out and flipping the light on to get the manager over. I just scanned my card and waited. Manager scanned it and confirmed the clearance price and the clerk was like: "Well that was too big of a price difference for me to just sell it. I needed someone else to sign of on selling it for that price" Too funny.
 
My Target has 2 copies of FEAR 2 for PS3 , but they are still in the glass case. They are on the bottom of the case without a price.

Nobody was around to check the price, but I go past it every day on the way to work. Do you think it will be on clearance?

I would tell you to type the DPCI into the self-scanner but I don't think the DPCI for the PS3 version has been posted. You can always print out a barcode (instructions are in the OP) and check the price yourself. Of course, this is assuming that your Target has self-scanners.

I got one of these too. It's a really nice little PC. Just make sure you blast Norton off of it as soon as you boot the stupid thing. Install Avira or some other free antivirus.

I would have thought that the 16GB HD was too small, but after installing Avira, Open Office, Google Chrome & Firefox & Thunderbird on it it still has plenty of space left. It's the perfect little computer to take to meetings for notes.
 
Man, I feel like running out to Target just to find one, possibly tomorrow. Its true though, you dont see these things out on the counter, I'll enter the dcpi and see how far I get.

I would tell you to check the price on the self-scanners using the DPCI but I don't think the DPCI for the PS3 version has been posted. You can always print out a barcode (instructions are in the OP) and check the price yourself in-store. Of course, this is assuming that your Target has self-scanners.
 
50-Cent: BOTS finally dropped to $14.98 picked up 2 copies. Too bad it wasn't in time for the sale last week.

Once copy for trade if anyone has an extra Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.
 
On a layover I checked a target near Addison airport (Dallas,TX). 2 copies of endwar bundle for 22.xx. Was going to pick one up for trade, but decided against it. Anyone in the Dallas area have at it.
 
I also finally scored a 50 cent:BotS for $14.98 @ the Waters Ave Target in Tampa, though it was marked 41.98. Sorry, it was the only one left.

It was $24.98 at the Target near me, so I'm guessing it will be on clearance.
 
just checked my local target for this laptop, they didnt have it but i did go to customer service and asked the girl nicely to search local stores for that number and she did but the closest one is 2 hours away, i don't think i need it that badly lol

How do you look up whether or not they are in stock? If you scan a printed upc bar code will that tell you, or do you have to ask customer service to check the stock?

They haven't been put on clearance at your store at all? I would write down the DCPI numbers from this thread and take it to the price checker in the store.. there's a chance they're already on clearance, they were just never taken out of the glass case.

Nothing for drops today and nothing added new.

Ninja Blade is all gone at my store and one copy of Riddick left at $30. Its been that price for weeks now.
 
still trying to find Tomb Raider: Underworld or Motorstorm: Pacific Rift at better than 30% off like some people have. no luck, though I'm finding copies of the games at the stores I'm checking. just not marked down :/
 
People around my area are so wide eyed. They buy everything on the first price drop. I never get any low clearance stuff. Anyone want to pick up an extra Endwar bundle. I'll trade or buy it.
 
Just set a new Clearance end cap today with about 40+ games for a temp price cut then officially on Clearance as of next Monday. Mostly PS3 and DS. Not sure if it is just my store but most of these games are already around $40.

Anyone else working in hell have a giant ass MIR pull recently?

I don't work there, but my local Target's gaming clearance section just exploded recently... but mostly crap on DS, and a TON of PS2 Star Wars Force Unleashed on top of a bunch of Wii that was already there before. So you're probably not alone.
 
Amazing finds today at the Target on Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines:

- Madworld for $19.98, but there was only one copy left behind the glass.
- Fear 2(PS3) for $34.xx
- End War w/ the mic(PS3) for $22.xx(!!!!). Two copies left!
- That Nerf Wii game with the Gun was $7.xx.
- Both Motorstorms were there. The latest one was $29.xx, the first didn't have a tag but it had the greatest hits box.

I've seen PoP for the 360 for $8 at my target. I passed on it because Im not that into thos types of games, but now I'm kicking myself for it.
 
Some of my targets have stopped dropping games down below 24, or $30. Instead, once they've been at those prices for a couple weeks, they show up on the scanner as "item not found".
Oh well.
 
Found a PS3 Endwar with headset for $22.xx. Guitar Hero World Tour (PS3, game only) was $7.xx. PoP for the PS3 was $27.xx. Only 360 clearance stuff they had was HAWX and Riddick. Both $41.
 
went looking for the cheap netbook... apparently way too late... one store had it in stock but said they lost it and couldn't find it for a month

it wasnt a total loss as i find endwar headset bundle for $22. I already had the game though so looking to get rid of endwar.

they also had fear for 22 but supposedly its onsale for $20 at gamestop this week... not really up my ally anyways. had some other stuff too but nothing of interest to me
 
Went to two targets yesterday, and was there to catch an employee pricing the clearence stuff. I saw a copy of wanted for ps3 with a $44 tag on it. I gave it to her and asked if there was a price change. She scanned it and tossed a $14 tag on it! I've been waiting for a good price on that and the day I finally find one gamestop drops the price of the next day! I also snagged a wii pikimin that went down to $14 this week.

Riddick still 41.98.... I saw some PS3 Motorstorm GH for like 14.98 and PS3 Prince of Persia for around 18 bucks, But I think it's that price at most places now anyway.
 
Yeah! I finally got the Endwar bundle (PS3) for $22.48.

Before I open it, can anyone confirm to me that it has a normal PS3 type game case inside? It doesn't just have the game in a carboard sleeve or something other than a normal case, does it? Thanks.

It has a normal sealed game inside with a barcode too! :)

Yep! Trade it in if it's not your cup of tea. Traded it into Gamestop for $7.50 with promotions. Essentially got a headset for $17 even. Can't beat that.
