This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

tried using the PS3 blu ray remote coupon today but got shot down
on the upside i picked up FF Tactics A2 Grimoire of the Rift for $14.98 and Unreal Tournament 3 for $9.98

That was going to be my approach, then I saw the remains of their value games and there was really nothing left that I would ever play.

Lol, just owned Targets for 2 more free 1600 MS point cards.
Brought Shaun White Snowboarding Target Edition (14.99) and got one free
and brought a 1 Month Xbox Live Card (7.99 :D), and got a free MS point card. (Lol'd when the manager put a sign up saying no coupons accepted for them)
 
Bleh, got denied both times for a PS3 Blu-ray Remote and the 1600 MS points at the one in Rowland Heights, CA. Went to a cashier, who went to her supervisor, who brought me all the way to the electronics department, where the guy promptly told me it was for the PS3 only =( I hate the electronics department
 
Lol, it worked like a charm on Games (Had no trouble with it), only had troubles when i tried to do other things (Couldnt buy a 1600 point card and get 1, couldnt buy a USB Battery+Charger for 360 Reomte and get 1, and couldnt buy anything that wasnt Microsoft branded and get 1), no idea how the girl got the 1600 point card to end up free with the 1 Month Subscription card, i just know i ended up trying at 3+ registers in the store.
 
picked up a non price tagged (only way in hell it was still there 2 days before Christmas) copy of dead space 360 for $4.98, then got points card for free! WHOOPEE!!!!!!

On a side note, if anyone is looking for Shaun White Snowboarding (Targets Edition), in VA. Beach, they had atleast 10 copies for 14.99 at the Targets on Millitary Highway. (Its actually a pretty fun game for the price)

And yeah, clearance pickings are getting slim, i saw a whole clearance isle filled with 10+ Copies of The Godfather 2, and 5+ copies of Rockband 2 sell out practically overnight (Went at 10 at night and saw them, came at 11 in the morning and they were all gone)

The lady at the register read the coupon when I handed it to her and asked me what 360 hardware I was buying. I played dumb and pointed to the game. She called for a manager, who was 10 feet away, but she was ignored so she just scanned the coupon.

I also found and passed on RB2 for $12.48 (mistagged at $34.98). No luck in finding Godfather 2 at 75% off. The Targets in my area that have it in stock, have it priced at $14.98. I wish it would've dropped so I could've used the coupon again.

Lol, i doubt your gonna find it for less than 15, especially at Christmas-time. I was at 4+ Targets in this area, and only 1 store had them, and they sold out in less than a day. And im guessing all the people abusing the Free 1600 point cards also caused them to sell out of anything else on clearance, along with the good 20 dollar games

Well, dgwillia006 makes a good point, but also, they are having clearance game sale in the upcoming week, so whatever games that does not make it to the 75% point will probably not going to drop any time soon.
 
Yep =/, i even noticed they sold a copy of Madagascar Karts that was on clearance for 35 (Lol, i scanned it myself to see if it was cheaper), people seem to just be grabbing whatever they see with the red stickers on it.
 
Knowing targets, and how badly people are ripping them off, they probally wont accept after yesterday. (Im still laughing at the fact thier systems fail so much you can buy a 1 Month XBL card and still get a MS Point card free)

Though, you can try though, it might be YMMV, though, im pretty sure it should work until closing Christmas Eve

I used the coupon on Wednesday with no issues. Rock Band 2 for $12.48 and the 1600 point card was free.

The coupon should be good through the 24th. If they accept it or not, is YMMV. If the past is an indication, the coupon will work beyond it's expiration.
 
Dunno, i used it twice today (Had to go to 3+ registers to finally get it to work with the 1 Month Live card, but it seems to work easily with games, unless the person at the register is an idiot, or has been told not to accept the coupon)
 
I had a problem with the coupon today. It would scan and then say that there was an invalid item. I was using it with Godfather 2. I think that they are catching on. The lady at the register had to manually discount the card.

Aargh...yeah I failed to use it today too. I couldn't find ANY 360 clearance games except Bionic commando for $30(!) and I'd already played it anyway, so I grabbed two 1600 points cards, which I know people have had success with. The coupon didn't work at the register. I was hoping she'd override but of course she read the coupon and said it only worked with hardware. This was in the evening on the west coast so I don't know if they just fixed it today or what. I already did the game + coupon combo at this Target a couple of times before (including using it with Godfather 2!) so I know the store isn't the problem...

Picked up RE5 (PC) for $12.48 and Demigod for 7.98 (I think that's what it was) at the Shakopee, MN store.

They had Wario Land Shake It (wii) on an endcap for 24.98... I'm sure I won't see that one again.
 
Was able to use the coupon on a 1 month renewal to get the free 1600 points. Sadly the only clearence PS3 game my Target had left was "High School Musical Sing along" for $15. I could not do that. I would've bought a $10 charge station, but they were sold out.

My son has the PS2 version and says it sucks. He tried the PS3 version, which made him want to buy the game. The PS2 version is literally a different game than the PS3 version. I bought him the PS3 one for Christmas on the clearance sale. He can give the PS2 version away to someone who needs a lump of coal in their stocking.

Just tried to use the coupon for a Play & Charge Kit and the guy told me that the coupon could only be used on systems. I had him scan it anyway and it didn't work, which I figured it wouldn't, but I didn't care enough to argue the point. Unfortunately there weren't any clearance games left for me to try.
 
Picked up PC Fallout 3 GOTY for $12.48 yesterday.

Haven't opened it yet until I find out if it will work on my 128mb card. Pretty sure it will, if not I will have to mess with the .ini files like others have (and get headless wastelanders). Last resort, will need a new card, it's a good thing they still sell AGP cards, and they're cheap :D.
 
I picked up :360: Rock Band 2 for $12.48 yesterday. But, like others have posted, it wasn't on a clearance endcap. It was in the glass case with the newer 360 games. And, there wasn't much left on the endcap, so there was plenty of room to put it there.
 
My Target was devoid of any good clearance games (except for a $15 Madagascar Kart something). Picked up a $20 copy of Gears of War Platinum Edition /w the free points card instead.
 
No go for me with the 1 month gold card. Almost though, rang up no items available and she started applying manually. Then questioned it when she saw the price and what I was buying. Manager told me it was for a console only. Didnt feel like fighting today knew it was a long shot. Good job to those that got it!

Yep, I have both (PS2/PS3) and they really are completely different game. The PS2/Wii versions of the game is the same and not very good, but the 360/PS3 version is a lot of fun.

Drove by Target today after my doctor's appointment, and kept on driving. Didnt feel like fighting the crowds of last min shoppers in attempts to find clearance games.

It can be entered manually, so in theory I guess yes. I didn't get far enough to find out as my cashier had second thoughts about putting it in manually... oh well. Couldnt get free ms points today so left target and got a free whataburger.

Overall not a bad day. The coupons weren't working during the second transaction, so the cashier just took off the amount for both cards. :bouncy:
 
Scored me an Apex 32" LCD HDTV that was clearanced for $269.48 earlier today. I've been eying it ever since I saw it on the clearance endcap Sunday afternoon. The box was banged up, but the TV is brand spankin' new. Early Christmas present lol.

It had a red "Online Item" sticker on it and was placed next to the regular edition. My guess is that someone ordered and returned it, and instead of sending it back the store put it on the shelf. Then along came the seasonal workers with itchy trigger fingers...
