This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

My local Target had about 10 copies of :360: SFIV, but were all $34.98 or so. Not much else on the shelf for :360: - a copy of Harry Potter and UP and that was it.
 
Finally scored a copy of :ps3: Dead Space - 7.48, and :ps3: Bionic Commando - 14.98. Going to try to return rebuy :ps3: Riddick - 19.98 to 9.98, crosses fingers.

Mine had like 40 at $27.98.

Can't believe all of these games have dropped so far so fast.
 
Sadly I went to my local Target today and they didn't have any GHWT 360 bundles left. A really nice employee helped me look and see if any other stores had any, and none do. Within a 50 mile radius or so. Unfortunately, that kinda leaves me in the cold.

Would any CAGs be interested in helping me out? I'm definitely good for it. I have a fantastic eBay rating and would be very thankful.

My Local walmart has 6+ copies of the socom bundle with the bluetooth headset, but that shit is priced at $69.99.
Now, I talked to the person and I asked if they can do a price match, and they said yes, if I can bring them a flyer, or print something from the internet to show them that that game{socom+headset for the ps3} is actually $14.98, or even bring a receipt showing it, and they will gladly price match it.
So I am wondering, does any one has a receipt of buying socom with the bluetooth headset and will be willing to send it to me via email and I will print it out and go to walmart and get me this game because I been hauling ass everywhere trying to find this bundle for this price at all the targets, but none of them have it!

Well, a word of caution, some places that PM will require the store they're matching to be in the area, if you whip out a scan of a reciept from a store half way across the country, they might not do it.

Well there is a target in my area and they say the game is $14.98, but its out of stock, and they show any proof besides saying it on the phone, and I talked to the manager and i asked will talking on the phone to the worker from target and he will verify to you that the game is indeed 14.98, and he said that wont be enough, he needs a physical proof.
 
Picked up a Socom bundle for 14.98 at a target in Boca Raton, FL today and there were still 5 copies left. Also saw 1 GH bundle left.

DS, they had a couple quit smoking coaches and a fitness game as well as Spectrobes for $4.98. I grabbed a Spectrobes since I already bought it at $9.98, so I will return the higher priced one.

360, they had like one game left, wasn't interested in and I forgot what it was now.

PS3, they had Warhawk and one other one for $7.48, nothing of interest so I left them.

PSP, Monster Jam for $7.48 and another one, but can't remember what and then Patapon 2 for $4.98 which I decided to grab.

Other than that they did have the Guitar Hero stuff finally dropped from $45. It looks like the World Tour bundle was just a single guitar and then a Les Paul guitar, both sets $17.48. I was tempted to get the Les Paul because it looks nice and I would like to get another guitar for either PS3 or 360 since those are the systems I tend to find the cheap Guitar Hero and Rockband games for. But, I'm hoping to find one of the cheap sets eventually, so I deicded to leave it.

Everything else I'd been waiting on, hoping would drop was gone. Pretty much everything was gone other than what I listed. So, all in all, I'm very mad I decided not to go. What makes it worse is the fact I cannot, for the life of me, figure out my Target's schedule. I think more than anything, they randomly decide when they are going to do it and don't have a schedule.

I'm going to check to see if Monsters vs. Aliens dropped any lower next time I go and if it did I'm going to see if they would be willing to price match. Game got a bad rap; definitely worth playing through. I caught it on Gamestop's $20 sale a while back, played through it and traded it on Goozex for 1000 points. Not sure how much it's worth now, though.
 
I picked up Riddick and Dead Space for 18 and somechange with tax so I am happy. The best part is that if I don't like Riddick I canalway tradeit to TRU for 17 right now. TRU is making taking risks on target clearance games more worth it.

Oh man, I stopped into the local Target on my way home from work this week. Guitar Hero: World Tour + 2 Wireless guitars bundle was just $22.48. (for the PS3) That is less than they were selling the stand-alone game for. Picked up a copy of that.
 
lol went to Target in Irvine, CA Monday 9/14/09 & I found 3-4 copies of Dead Space for $7.XX & Bionic Commando for $14.98 I believe. This was around hmm 11:30AM Pacific Time. I went ahead and got Dead Space & the last copy of Bionic Commando. I also saw Papaton 2 for $4.98 along with Wanted Weapons of Fate? for $12.48 and X Blades for $12.48. Oh! Don't forget 50 Cent's cheesy game for $12.48! I went ahead and passed on those 4 and a few others for the PC as others mentioned above. There were some WII & DS games as well.

Well...I was really happy I scored because when I told my brother-in-law, (he doesn't drive) he was about to run to target and pick them up but I told him Id give him a ride. Well about 20 minutes after I left target and got home to tell & take my brother-in-law, they were all gone! Some hoarder took all the games. That really grinds my gears. Come on!!! GET A JOB!!! You know who you are! And if you do have a job, get a life! Hard times!!!

Was this the target at the Spectrum? I've been trying to find Patapon 2 for $5 but none in mission viejo/aliso viejo area have had any. If this was the spectrum target, I could run over at lunch.
 
is anyone still finding wheelman anywhere? or does that seem to be extinct in the target clearance across the nation

just wondering if i should make an effort lookn for it

I saw a copy of the 360 version on Monday, but I'm sure it's long gone by now. But yeah, it's recent enough that it may still be around in some places. The PS3 version disappeared from the shelves a few months ago -- I wouldn't bother if that's the one you want.
 
I just got back from one of my local Targets. I found :360: NCAA Football 09 for $7.48 plus tax. Since I found the clearance endcaps, I have been finding a lot more deals at all of the Targets in my area. They all seem to have a locked case for all of the newer games, an aisle for games around $19.99, and then an endcap for all of their clearance titles. At the Target I went to today, the clearance endcap was about four aisles away from the video game section.
 
blargh. my target has mass effect 360, but not on clearance in the 19.99 game aisle. Non greatest hits too. DOUBLE BLARGH

thanks.. nah ive been looking for the xbox 360 vers... i check in this thread often, just noticed it hasnt been mentioned as often as some of the other finds... and most of the stores by me they went mia once they hit 20 it seems like

I hate to say this, but I usually get it first. I've been burned so many times like that. If I change my mind, I can always return it. That's what the 90-days return policy is for. That way, it can still benefit someone I know.

I always scan just in case...... targets in my area are pretty much on the ball... but i did find a l4d for $12 because they didnt tag it properly....... doesnt hurt to try!
 
Guild Wars Trilogy $9.98

Also saw a couple of Warhawks for $7.48, but I thought I saw that in the OP - too bad I just am not into those types of games any more, as that is the right price for me. Wish I could have found the Orange Box for that, as I think my son would enjoy that since he cannot really utilize a mouse yet (at least Portal).

nah, this was at The District. Off of Jamboree where it connects to the 241 & 5 Freeway. They were all long gone the same day I went back to take my brother-in-law. Good luck!

I just came back from my local target and I seen that they had GHWT for $22.48.. but they didn't have any in stock (I checked via a printed UPC).. I bought the bundle 2 weeks ago when it was $44.98. Even though I have opened it, can I return it to the store for $44.98 and then instantly rebuy it for $22.48?

not if it's opened....possibly if it;s sealed (technically clearance is not eligible for a price adjustment or return/rebuy) but if you take some time to read this thread...members have reported success a number of ways.
 
Finally Target stores in Fresno,CA have marked down their Guitar Hero World Tour bundles. I picked up GHWT PS3 for 22.xx. I bought two of them at the Shields and First Target. But there were only two more left. I think this is the only Target though that doesn't have PS3 games on clearance. Just Xbox, DS, and PS2 games. Weird. That's shopping in the 'hood for you.
 
This is probably the best buy from the target for this price especially for a game that got these high reviews:
Picked up Madworld for the WII for $7.48, it was the last copy, so you guys might want to go and look it up in the store.

You can try, but some clerks don't like this; I've experienced both. I would explain the situation to the return counter clerk and ask if they are willing to do this.

had some luck again today looking for a clearanced grill at a couple of targets

GHWT 2 guitars+game for PS3 = 22.48
SOCOM bundle PS3 = 14.98

funny i saw the single guitar and game clearanced with no price... asked them to scan and it was 22.48 so i awas going to grab that, then in a different place i saw the dual guitar bundle not clearanced with no price but rang up as 22.48, easy decision

Watch out for those Amana grills at Target. I bought one on clearance, then looked up reviews online. Apparently a lot of those grills have leaks, and end up exploding on people. Mine is headed straight back for a return.
 
Not sure there's much point in posting this but I got a copy of Tales of Vesperia (360) in Target today for $10. It had a sticker that looked like one of those 'As is" stickers but it had "online item" on it. Was $39.99 but now $10, on the receipt it says "$29.99 off $39.99".

That's about as YMMV as a deal is ever gonna get I'd say.
 
None of the Target's in my area ever have really good clearance items it seems, unless I am just always late to the party. I did pick up Tomb Raider Anniversary for Xbox 360 today. It was $4.98 plus tax. Not bad!

Man, that game hasnt dropped for me at all, find it at 19.99 at each Target I've been to. Every other game drops except those that are already in the value games section. Come on Target! =(

I believe that was a clearance several months ago that has since returned as a 19.99 value game. I'm thinking I got my clearance copy back in the spring.

Meh, the Target I went to had way more dual guitar sets than single ones. When I found out that the guitar in the dual set was exactly the same as the GH3 guitar, I put that down and went with the single guitar set. Even though they cost the same, I don't like the GH3 guitar (I already have one) so the easy decision for me was to go with the single set. Now, I just have to return the standalone copy of GHWT that I bought over a month ago.
