This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

My local Target has no PS3 games on clearance right now. In the past 2 months I've only seen 4-5 different titles.

Right now it's pretty slim for me recently, but a few weeks ago there was a bounty of PS3 titles at 75% off. There's been up and down cycles for the different consoles over time. The only constant is the shovelware Wii titles that always seem to be on the clearance shelves.

Prisoner Training , sounds like one of those PS2 RPGS that would never come here from overseas ! Also on the PS3 Clearence and 360 Clearence , It seems in my expirence that 360 games go on clearence first with quicker drops , followed by PS3 drops and what seems like an eternity for them to drop . In cycles could be a few weeks before I see any PS3 games and then BAM ! there is a stack of them to the heavens . I will say that the amount of shovel ware for the Wii and DS is insane ! As Ususal there is no rhyme or reason to Target and the clearence they do so ........

Oh, another note for CAGs that visit the Eastwood Mall Target in Niles, OH: the PC clearance games are now mostly on an endcap by the DVD and book sections.

My Target has had a couple of PC games on clearance, but I haven't seen anything I've wanted on the Clearance rack in weeks.

I think there might have been a copy of X Blades behind glass, but like I said, nothing I've wanted in weeks.

In Columbus, OH, I picked up Heaven Guardian (Wii) for $3.74. I saw over 9000 SING IT Bundles on the Wii, all priced $34.xx. They'll never sell 'em at that price!

Thing is, stuff happens and sometimes a week or two goes by without an update. We're not all of a sudden in a third world country if you have to read the last ten pages.

Maybe you, or someone else, or I should create an online wiki at ZoHo and put the link in the first page. Anybody can edit the online Wiki so it would be more up to date with games and prices. Just a suggestion.

What do you guys think? Would you all use it if the Wiki was created?

Managed to pick up the gaming chair for $20 and Fallout 3 expansion for $10. Really impressed with the chair. The audio quality is alot better than i thought and the wireless is nice.

What makes it even more annoying is the fact that clearance prices are YMMV as far as when your particular Target clearances those games out. Hell, the Target nearest to me still has Bionic Commando for the 360 at full MSRP.

It's not a bad idea. CAG wikis have come and go, if I remember right, for stuff like pennied out strategy guides, so maybe it'd work, maybe not. I would still say that the OP should still stay maintained by me, just in case the Wiki flatlines in the future, but there's certaintly nothing stopping you guys from doing a little bit of team work and taking manners into your own hands.

I think this is a good point. If you were going strictly off the OP, eventually you're going to be disappointed. Period. Some stores simply do not drop the games, and there is certaintly no universal clearance plan by Target. I would say out of all the stores, Target requires the most reading to see if the clearance drop is pretty universal, or if there are others reporting the games are still full price.
The OP is just a reference guide, and that's it.

And thanks, Donut. The edit thing is a good point, whenever I make an edit, the posts previous to the time will have been updated into the OP if I did my job correctly. However, at the top of the OP, you may see something like "Page 57" This is a note for me, and for you guys, that the page I'm going to start on next is page 57, and to read from there if you need to see the update. The page notation would be based on default viewing settings for the posts per page.

I agree with you on this. The main purpose of the Original post is to show what to look out for. The rest of the posts are for new clearance products and to help each other find stuff. In my stores the Wii gamecube ports never went on clearance to date. Thanks FoS for updating when you can. People get so demanding on the internet.

I apologize for not having the clearance number but I saw a copy of Ghostbusters Wii $14.98 and the store only had one copy.

It is located at the Target on Southfield Rd between 12 & 13 Mile Rd in Southfield, MI. I left it cause I knew somebody might actually want to play it.

Picked up a pair of Rock Band (xbox 360) wireless guitars and one Guitar Hero Les Paul guitar for 14.98 each. Now I can finally see what all this rock band stuff is all about!

saw a random assortment of other stuff I hadn't seen on clearance before including something like ninjas vs pirates dodgeball (wii) and several long awaited drops that everyone else had seen.

now if their gardening clearance would just drop before it gets wiped out I'd be a happy man.

Just a heads up for the Victor NY folks - Target here now has 2 electronic clearance end caps. Don't know if this is a permanent thing, or just temporary. There ya have it.

Went to target and saw many Dragon Ball Evolution on PSP and Cate West: The Vanishing Files on PSP for like $10.99. Boom Blocks for Wii for $16.99 and SFIV for $19.99 I believe. Also, saw a Ghandi 25th Anniversary Blu-ray for $6.26.

Good point, especially since I never even knew Bionic Commando for the 360 was on clearance until you said so and I checked the OP. My "rounds" usually take me to 8 Targets, and I never saw that marked down, only the PS3 version.

Seen new clearance item today. Call of Juarez Bound in Blood (Xbox 360) for $41.98. Not a very good price right now, but in a little bit, it should be okay

It looks like my local Target was pretty well raided, at least when it came to 360 games.

There was GI Joe, G-Force and Terminator Salvation all around $27.xx-$34.xx-$41.xx. I passed.

I did find a nice Holmes 38" Tower Fan on clearance to $7.48, though (originally $29.99) and my sister got a two direction Honeywell fan for $11-ish down from $30-ish.

Oh, and I found her the last Targus camera setup with the recharger (AA recharger, four rechargable batteries, tripod and some other stuff) for $6.xx.

Just picked up Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires for $9.98 and Harry Potter Half Blood Prince for $12.48. Opened them up and traded them in with two PS3 games at gamestop for $15 and $12. So after bonuses and edge just empires and potter netted me $40 for only paying $22 for them. GF, ND btw.
