This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Was able to get Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (360) for 19.99. It was not clearance, it was a white sale sign (B&M national??). I almost missed it because I'm only looking for red stickers. I didn't see it in the weekly ad and it's still $49.99 on their website.

Guitar Hero On Tour Decades (DS) bundle was $12.xx. Standalone $7.xx. Galactix (DS) $7.xx.

Ice Age 3 (360), GI Joe (360), and G-Force (360) all at $35.xx. Waiting for the next drop.

Picked up Red Faction Guerrilla for $9.98 from Allen Park, MI store tonight. (The Oakwood near I-94 one.) They had another copy of that, plus several Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor and EndWar for $7.48. (All of those for PC.) The clearance stuff is on an end cap facing the back wall over by the console games and discount titles. Saw GHWT for X360 for $24.xx (several copies) and various other Wii and console titles that I didn't note down. Sorry.

Stopped by the store on 23 Mile near I-94 (not sure what city that is out there) yesterday and it looked like locusts had torn thru from all the blank spaces flagged by Clearance signs. Saw a single copy of Tomb Ho Underworld for $4.98 and Crysis Maximum Pack(? - all the games) for $9.98.

Madison Heights didn't have squat for PC games tonight.
 
I just went to the Target in Chandler AZ, and none of the above discounts work. Went the for Ratchet and Clank in particular, 29.99. Is it not all Targets?

I don't know about Target, but my friend did return a HDTV to BB a couple months ago and the next time he was in that same store, he saw his returned TV at an additional 30% (or thereabouts) off. He could recognize it because he said it had a few nicks around the edges.

Was wondering about this as well. When you scan it in, it lists $19.99 as the normal price. It may be an error on Target's part.

Target here was listing it for $19.99 as a "New Low Price!" as well. I dunno . . . as much as I usually like that type of animated movie, that one really just looks bad to me. I can't imagine it as a decent movie, let alone as a decent licensed game (given how bad those usually are to begin with).
 
Although I shouldnt continue the hoarder talk..... I did notice something while at a Target I seldom visit yesterday that kinda goes along with what some others are saying....

While in the electronics checking out clearance I noticed for once I could hardly get to the clearance endcaps due to just a ton of pushy type people who just roamed from clearance rack to clearance rack snatching things like mad.....and lots of it

but you could tell they werent gamers or soccermoms or just casual customers...they were there with a purpose..... This was in Southwest Virginia so insert your favorite inbred moutain hillbilly joke here and they looked the part completely....they were flea marketers looking for fodder to stock up on you could just tell it.

So i think between CAG, FW, & SD .... we are all helping the otherwise clueless hoarders, flippers, and flea marketers stay in business and basically mapping it all out for them..

Picked up :psp: Dragon Ball Evolution for $4.98 plus tax at one of my local Targets. At another, I got a pair of GE PC speakers for $5.00 plus tax.

People shopping clearance endcaps is far from something new at Target. People have been shopping clearance endcaps since before the internet.
 
Caved on Heavenly Gaurdian (Wii) 3.XX and a Luna Bar lol

Might cave and get Terminator for an easy 1000GS for me and my friends.

Not much at the Meadows Lane Target in LV, NV. They had a Harry Potter for $12.48 and some Fable 2's in the case for $20.98, but that's about it. There was nothing on the clearance endcap. If you go to this store you must peruse the cases and or the discount games on the endcap they were all kind of placed throughout the videogame section.

Saw Monsters VS Aliens for $4.98 for PC and some others over by the PC stuff and and Elmo in the toy section for 50% off.
 
Ok, I'll preface this with a huge YMMV and a this-may-be-totally-and-utterly-false warning since I can't verify it. This is all based off of what the on-duty employee told me.

I was at the Overland Park, KS (119th) Target today and noticed that one of the 19.99/29.99 PH/GH/etc type endcaps was completely devoid of Xbox 360 games. Usually there's at least a few of everything. When I asked the guy working there where they were, he said they put them on clearance over the weekend and they'd all been snatched up. The ones missing were Bioshock, Prince of Persia, End War and that paintball game - maybe some others too (I didn't see Assassin's Creed either but didn't see the tag for it). If I have time tomorrow over lunch I'll go in armed with a barcode printout to see if I can verify. Checked another Target down the street (there's seriously like 15 or 20 of them in this area) but no such luck there.

He also mentioned that they put Uncharted on clearance for $14.98 but it was gone already (because he himself was trying to find a copy). And they had Skate 2 :360: on a clearance endcap they appeared to be setting up, but it was still at $39.99.

Weird day at Target. I have no proof of this and can't verify anything that I was told, so take it with a big fat grain of salt. Might be worth keeping your eyes peeled for the next couple weeks though.

Ninja edit: Also, the Xbox 360 games that were missing were all tagged with the grey sticker of replacement/discontinuation/whatever it means these days.

I don't know why I always feel compelled to look for deals at my Target (kalamazoo) since my searches thus far have yielded nothing. No $10 Red Faction or RE5 for me, but I did see plenty of Terminator Salvation 360 for $12.
 
My store was pretty cleaned out or the clearance price was in mid 30s or 20s, but I did see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs for the PS3 was 19.99 in the regular case. EB has it for 49.99 so I wonder if this is a price drop.

I saw a blank spot in the PS3 section of my Target. It had Uncharted on the tag for $14.98. I have no clue about the rest of your findings, though.

i saw the same thing. it wasn't a red clearance tag. it was in the regular glass case, with the yellow price sticker same as any other full priced game. i hope they stock it. i've beaten that game about 4 times now borrowing it from friends..it's time I finally purchased it, now that I own the second one, lol.

i just went to my local target and :ps3: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was $19.99 there as well - it didn't even have a clearance or "new low price" tag on it.
 
Went to Target in Saugus, MA. Walked around for a bit and surprisingly I found a clean, some what organized section of clearance items. Didn't find any PS3 games though but Guildwars is 4.98 and End War is 7.xx is If could remember correctly. There were plenty of GH for the DS priced at 41.xx. Next time ill snap a picture and post it on CAG.
 
Bought a copy of Cloudy with a chance of meatballs and the f'ing $10 concession cash was missing. Bought another copy... missing.

Some dumbass messed up when packaging the 360 versions.

Has this happened to anyone else?

There were a lot of copies of Street Fighter IV for the XBOX 360 at the Target store in Amherst, NY (on Transit Road) that were priced at $9.98!!! I grab a few copies, but there were lots left.

Came across Motorstorm 2 but when I scanned it it came up NOT ON FILE, so I just set it down. Would they have still sold it to me? The price tag said $41 on it, I'm guessing a fellow CAG had it stashed and they just found it and re-shopped it to the shelf? Has anyone dealt with a NOT ON FILE?

LoL... I've never played any of the games before it looks interesting i'll probably check out reviews and gameplay.

That's a ridiculous steal for that game!!! The targets around me barely have any copies i usually see 3-4 if anything.

This happened to me with Wanted: Weapons of Fate a few weeks ago. I found it and it scanned at $0.00.

Took it to customer service and told them it scanned at $0. They sold it to me for the last lowest price which was $7.48.

I just got Red Faction Guerrilla and got Cryostasis a few weeks back for the same price. The Target in Lanham, MD still has one Red Faction Guerrilla left.
