This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Love our CA target drops. Call of Juarez is sitting pretty at 59.99 at my Targets
 
I went back and bought a copy of Red Faction at $10 and then Returned said sealed copy at the other Target and got my $28 back :) Went to another Target and it was still $40. I don't understand these things. Also I saw they had Fable 2 clearanced for $20.

When I worked at Circuit City and Office Depot any items marked as .01 were not to be sold at all. It meant the item was to be pulled and donated to charity. I don't know if this is the case for Target but probably it is and uninformed employees don't know what to do so they just put a price on it and sell it to you.
 
Just curious if anyone has found the 60 gig xbox 360 hard drives at 50 bucks a pop. Two of the stores close to me list them as being in stock(website list price is 99), in need of a new HD so just looking for a little confirmation.
 
They stripped the inventory of clearanced PS3 games over here too. Must be because of the price drop. Not even any horribly overpriced ones left.

Oh yeah and they still had some blue and pink 8GB zune's left. They dropped to $69.98 orange sticker. Incase you see them in your store, keep an eye out for another drop.

Scored the last copy of streetfighter 4 for 9.98 at the pinole ca store. Still debating on trading it in or using it as a Christmas present.
 
Rochester MI store had nothing spectacular...3 copies of Wolverine Origins PS3..still $41.98..The PC version was $9.98..GIJOE 360 $34.98..I hope I can find Wolverine when it drops below $19.98.
 
When is Fallout 3 - Broken Steel & Point Lookout going to clearance? The GOTY is out so I would think all Targets want to get rid of them.

this week i was at 2 targets and neither even had fallout 3 GOTY
 
Just got back from vacation in Florida yeterday. Got my fix there In Orlando I got Xbox360 Dynasty Warriors 6 empires for $9.98 and Wii Heavenly Guardians for $3.74. At 1 target in Kissimee I got Xbox360 Up for 9.98 and at another I got Xbox 360 Call of Juarez Bound in Blood for $14.98 and Xbox 360 G-force for $12.48. Then when igot back to CT stopped at my local Target for milk and picked up Xbox360 Terminator Salavation for $12.48. Not a bad haul this week.

Funny, I was in Orlando last week (Friday-Sunday) as was a co-worker of mine around the same time. Seems that Orlando is the hot-spot to go for CT'ers. Didn't stop by any Target's while I was down there. My local Target had a few copies of God of War for $13.98 as of yesterday. I think I can wait for it to drop even lower before I snag it (assuming any copies are left). Really would like the street fighter psp game to drop to 3.98 but no luck so far.

Anyone who is interested in the Apex 32 inch LCD TV that is on sale this week for $329, I picked one up and it is absolutely gorgeous. For a medium size room like mine, it looks absolutely stunning. Right now I'm watching the Ravens-Vikings game now, and on first search, its got beautiful 720p. I've got my PS3 hooked to it, but no HDMI until Thursday. TV is well built and GLOSS Black.
 
I went to Target and nearly all the clearance games had disappeared I found one copy of SF4 but it was still $20 put it behind a stack of shovelware hopefully it drops and is still there.

What city did you find SFIV on PC? Anyone else see this game at their Target? I'm hoping to find it in the los angeles area. I tried looking it up by ASIN but it wouldn't work

Only things of note at Target in Orange, CA were Zelda Phantom Hourglass for DS at $17.48 and Science Papa for Wii for $7.48. Guiness Book of World Records for Wii was still overpriced at $28.xx and Guitar Hero On Tour / Decades combo for DS was $42.xx.
 
I went to Target tonight, haven't been for a little while. They got a few more games, but nothing great, on clearance. Several new PSP games added and still no PS3 games, I think that is a good month now that they have had no PS3 games marked down.

I did pick up

Boom Blox :wii: $14.98

Heard a lot of good things about it, but never played myself, so I decided to get it since it was the last copy.

Also, I checked, my store had Sunny with a Chance of Meatballs for $19.99 for PS3 and 360 as well, I'm not for sure now, but I think the DS version was higher and I didn't see it for Wii. There were no clearance stickers or anything, just the regular old price tag... Would be nice if this was a future trend for movie games since they are never worth the full price of a game and the price usually drops pretty quick anyway.... buy, I'm sure they make enough money after the movie is released from people wanting it right away that it is worth charging more for a while.

i got an endwar w/headset for 19.98 a couple weeks back....also deadspace was 14.98...

Street Fighter 4 $9.98
Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires $9.98
all are for 360.

So not a bad week. Also I saw at the other Target here 2 more Ups and 2 more Street Fighters still at $19.98 so I am hoping they drop tomorrow. I still have the Harry Potter and Street Fighter for trade if anyone's interested.

:lol: To be honest, I'm not even sure of where I came up with that name, especially since it doesn't make much since. I was in a hurry to post what I found and I guess I just wasn't thinking at the moment. It's not really a movie that interests me, so that could be the reason too.

But, you could be right, too much Disney could be part of the cause as well... Some friends were visiting me from Ohio last week and I went to their hotel several times, their room TV basically only got Disney Channel, in several languages and the one resort we went to had Disney Channel playing as well. A little too much Disney Channel for one week :D
 
Aw snap, i forgot SF4 should be 10 bucks by now >_>, was at a Targets 3+ days ago and saw SF4 for 20 dollars, a bunch of PSP games for 13.98 (Including God of War, and Secret Agent Clank), and a few random 360 games (most were movie games, like GI Joe, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) for 29.98 or something like that.

Got Terminator Salvation for 360 last night for $12.98, after finding Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs for $19.99 I had to go back to see if I could find anything else, with my purshace I just realized that was my 150th 360 game..WOW!!.

Fallout 3: The Pitt + Operation Anchorage Expansions - $4.98
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Wii) - $34.98
UP (360) - $19.98 (still)
Big Brain Academy (DS) - $13.98
Some Paws and Claws game for DS - no price tag on it
Rest was trash

picked up the fallout 3 expansion pack, only copy.

RB2 however was still $49.99 after price check

Brought it back to Target today to see if I can get it for the $4.98. Spoke to the Customer Service Lady. She explained the normal policy of Return/Rebuy. However, since she knew me (I go there alot ;)), she actually adjusted the price right there & I got $5.00 back & did not have to go through the process of having the game put back on the shelf & rebuying it! YAY!

Though YMMV, never hurts to take a chance. :D

On another note, saw GH: Metallica :360: for $41.98 - lots of copies. Hopefully there will still be one when I get to my price-point.
 
All I got was Science Papa for $ 7.48 and two copies of World of Goo for $3.48. The stores around me are awful about updating/slashing prices on clearance items.
 
I've only scene Rock Band 2 at clearance at 1 of six targets I've checked in MI. There were three copies. I spent way too much that week on videogames and like a moron passed it up. Went back one day later they were all gone. Of course that was the week Beatles came out so people prob snatched them up. So angry passing up that CAG gold ugh.

i think it's against their policy to allow it on clearanced items.... u have to wait for them to restock it and then rebuy it off the shelf.. i'm not sure if its actually written anywhere in their policy but that's what most of employees will tell you

Random day today.

Tiger Woods 10 for Wii with the Motion + thing reappeared after vanishing for ~3 weeks. Still at $41, still waiting for more drops.

Hordes of NHL 09 for PS3 showed up at $27. There are enough of them there that I think I can wait it out until they drop to $10 or less.

Skate 2 for 360 was on clearance but at $27. Definately down if it gets to ~15.

My biggest temptation was GH World Tour for 360 at $10 but after finding RB2 several weeks ago at the same price, I couldn't do it. I don't have time in my life for more than one "bang away on plastic instruments" game.

How are the original RB1 wireless guitars? There's one there @15 but I thought I remembered the RB1 guitars getting shat upon when they came out.
