This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

it all depends...i visit 3 different targets in my area....and they all do the same thing....the endcap sometimes has clearance items (not just video games)...then the next week its gone...but then its back again...so just randomly visit that section and it should b back....

All the targerts i've been to not have all their games behind glass, they used to have a sale and clearance aisle...no longer so clearance games tend to be behind new games.

I saw them updating prices today since I went early, target clearance must be YMMV. Games that were listed clearance here and confirmed by other CAG's were not all on clearance in NY. Games clearly marked by a clearance sticker were on clearance but not all of them had their prices updated/marked down.

I'll check back again later in the week.

Not all Targets have the same clearance schedule. Even in the same area things can be clearance at one store but not at another, or at different levels.

Did pick up Street Fighter IV (360) today for $9.98. Pretty stoked about that!

The tilt sensor in them is a little too sensative, which prevents them from picking up the star-power a lot of the time.

My store dropped all the prices on the clearance games one more level since last night. For some reason, they didn't drop Harry Potter or Wolverine for PSP any, they are still at $28.... actually, now that I think about it, they didn't drop any PSP games any lower. A few things I remember:

Lumberjacks $9.98
G-Force $24.98 (PS3 is still in the case at $39.99)

There were some others, but I can't remember them all. Also, I checked and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was only $20 at my store for the PS3 and 360, Wii was still regular price.

That's what I did with X-Blades a while back when BestBuy had it free for 360 only. It couldn't hurt to try.

GTA Chinatown Wars was 8.98 @ the Target in Mt. Kisco, NY. Also picked up Street Fighter at the aforementioned 9.98, also saw Boom Blox for more than the listed 9.98 (think it was 20.98) and now am wondering whether I should go back and price check.

Either way, awesome, awesome week for a clearance haul, I lucked out for sure.

Saw a metric shit-ton of EndWar X360 copies at the Niles, OH Target tonight along with the aforementioned Wolverine 360 and Metallica 360.

Also, YMMV, but try going to FYE with the Street Fighter. I got a copy of SCDA free in a contest a few years back for PS2, and they were going to exchange it straight up for an Xbox copy, but the prices were different in their system.(both would have been sealed)

I went to the Target on Pines Blvd and Super Target on Miramar Pkwy. Absolutely no PS3 games. The Pines Target was especially a waste. Super had a crapload of Wolverine(360) for $41. I mean really, they were everywhere.

I bought that today. It includes 2 games, gh on tour and gh on tour decades, and 1 controller. Seems to be a pretty good price considering its over 30 bucks usually for 1 game and 1 controller.

Nothing but shovelware remaining at most of my local Targets. I never even saw the SF IV 360 games drop below the initial clearance price.
