Welcome to the Steam Deal Thread V6! You can find link to past threads at the bottom of this post. Read post #2 of this thread for Steam FAQs and more.

With the V6 Thread, we're trying a slight formatting change. We used to list every possible Steam deal in the OP, but they change too frequently for anyone to keep up with (even in the Wiki format). So now, we'll leave regular minor sales out of the OP. This post will keep track of major sales (Winter sale, etc.), Steam deals available through other sellers (like Amazon), Preorder deals, and Group Buys.

I would still greatly appreciate help from you folks at home in keeping this smaller-scale OP up-to-date. This is a Wiki post so anyone can contribute. Wiki instructions:
Thanks for your help! If you notice a sale has ended, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see something does need to be added, then kindly add it to the list.

Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.


Free Stuff - List needs updating with F2P games!
There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card. The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Very well, Steam Winter Sale. You win. I bought RPG Maker VX Ace.

Good price, really. I'll easily get $35 worth of enjoyment out of this. It just feels like a lot of money since it's Steam. I spend more on 3DS games without hemming and hawing nearly as much.
 
So apparently my gf's order never went through and she's frustrated to the point where she's just about to buy the games full price -__- I already redeemed my codes and my other bundle is my brother's Xmas gift. Figure this is a long shot but anybody have an extra bundle to sell? Willing to pay $35-40 paypal gift for one. =\

Ended up accidentally buying two packs cause I didn't want to risk removing from cart.

If anyone wants a specific game key, just message me what you want and how much you'd pay. Because I didn't want it and because of the pack pricing, I'm willing to let go for pretty discounted prices.

How flexible is RPG maker? Can you create something unique with it that doesn't have a generic anime of the month flavor? For example, if I wanted to create a fallout-esque rpg would I be able to use the program to give an old school rpg that wasteland vibe?
 
Okay, massive post. Many answers. Some fleshbag kept me from the thread for a bit. Please do not interpret any of my response negatively. I'm sorry if they've been answered before.

I personally am not stressing about retrieving all my keys tonight. I could be wrong, but GG has always come through for me.

GG checkout sends me to paypal, sign in to paypal, click button, get sent to GG with a long url with a paypal token in the url (probably timeout and reload needed) sends me to the GG receipt page. I had to reload on timeouts when being sent to and returning from paypal

after the confirm button on paypal you should get a long url to gamersgate.com/something&token(obviously from paypal). I had to reload on that

Well, I'm back after a 2 hour break. I see that nothing has changed.

Problem is, the whole frickin gaming internet knows about this glitch and have know since about 7PM EST. I see it on NeoGAF, SPUF, Reddit, Steamgifts & I already mentioned Slickdeals earlier. There's probably another couple dozen sites as well and there are probably a couple of thousand people trying to access the site right now. I'm surprised that it's still possible to load the site at all (albeit, painfully slowly).

No. Well, not unless it was included in the key for rage. But I already own the game so I haven't tried to get my key yet. And there wasn't a separate entry for the DLC in the pack or in my game library.

Generally, I lurk around here, but I finally got through with the GamersGate pack. Only really wanted Dishonored and Doom though, so I'd gladly sell the rest to anyone looking.

I had about 32 tabs open at one time from the verification email link as soon as the circle stopped spinning clicked tab hit F5!

I thought about that after getting a few orders through. There's going to be a lot of competitive pricing on these games since so many people are buying them, and anyone who buys a bunch of these packs will lose potential value due to market flooding. It would be better to hold onto your keys for a month before selling them, I would think, to get more profit. And it doesn't help that they're region-locked to specific countries.

I think its possible with Ruby script.. Although i'm not entirely sure, I haven't used it since the old school days. Where it would take forever to do stuff with CMS and CBS. Probably a lot of work your going to have to do.

fuck you! I was leaning on not buying this, til I read this. Now I'm like, I spend that much on lots of console games, so why not RPG Maker VX Ace. Now I'm leaning the other way.

Agreed. I didn't intentionally buy as a gift but that is how it came through. The page display was all funkified so maybe the buy and gift buttons were overlapping and I couldn't tell where I was clicking. I'm still trying to send the pack to myself. F5F5F5F5F5.

Progress report. Found out about the bundle about 3hrs ago. Slowly made my way to the Paypal screen and kept it on refresh after each time out while I watched youtube vids. Finally got the order through about 15mins ago. I'd take proof screens but, well, nachos.

TL;DR - Keep trying. It's slow but orders can go through still.

Stated some posts under quoted message. This thread is going really fast, probably you missed it. Anyway, I panicked. My apologies.
I found out that Polish, Russian, and Czech version has separate entry in steam registry and the version provided by GG only doesn't have those language packs in addition. It's protected from activation in those countries, but playing it shouldn't be blocked from anywhere. Now I only need to check my reserch by myself.

It's quite weird in overall, because Skyrim and Rage, which aren't in Polish Steam store due to contract between Bethesda and Cenega - one of the main game distributor in Poland, activated without problems, but F:NV Ult which is available there, suddenly turned out to become somehow restricted.
