Yeah, I downloaded it yesterday and I'm already near the end, I think. For a hidden object/puzzle game it's quite decent.
Yeah, I should finish The Hound of the Baskervilles today. I think it's the best of these sort of games I've played...but I've probably only played about 5.

The other meaning of "driving a stick".
;)

I'd note that maybe ThrustMaster might not be a child-safe brand.

Hmm....Own half the bundle already.

The other badges disappeared from my badges page, ie Portal 2, HL2, and only BL2 is showing right now. Strange.

When I check it was 5.63 now 5.66.

EDIT:

Best thing about Borderlands 2 cards is you just need to have the launcher up not even the game :D

Every time I wake my computer from sleep, Steam either hangs for several minutes or just plain crashes. Wonder why that is. I tend to leave steam running 24/7 since I like to IM with friends and we don't always share the same schedule so it's a bit like leaving messages on an answering machine.

In for a humble bundle at $1. Already have Hotline Miami from that Amazon price glitch and not that interested in Proteus. Want to check out Capsized and Little Inferno, though, so that works out fine for me.
For those that tried to join the Steam Trading card beta recently, how long did it take you guys to receive the email?
It took about a day. If you're looking for an invite I have a few extra.

You know what I did today? I went to the OP first before coming here. Why? Because I wanted to know what the midweek and dailies were. Awesome. The first time I've done that in a long, long time.

Loving the new thread and thanks again to both Ninja, Edlredpe, and everybody else who keeps the OP/Title updated.

Wow someone bought my vaultkey emoticon i got for crafting the BL2 badge for $4.xx
Love this card/marketplace stuff haha

Hah, thanks for the tip.
What genre/category should I put Dear Esther under in my Steam library? It's not a game, right, so what is it?
I put it with Indie Game: The Movie under the Bullshit Movies tab.
What genre/category should I put Dear Esther under in my Steam library? It's not a game, right, so what is it?
I put it, along with other weird stuff like Osmos and Nightsky, under a general Indie tab. Seems to work for now, though it's probably the biggest category I have on steam;)
What genre/category should I put Dear Esther under in my Steam library? It's not a game, right, so what is it?
I have a "Misc" category for games and stuff that I can't think of a more relevant category for. That said, I think that I put The Path under one of the Adventure categories. :whistle2:k

I would put it under 'experimental.'

Or we could just continue to shit on it because the notion of an art game is so offensive to our sensibilities that we not only shouldn't play it, but it shouldn't even exist.

heathens!

Well I feel kinda lousy now for taking a crap on 8-Bit Night, and saying it was a Alter Ego clone. Turns out Alter Ego was just the precursor by the same dev. So yeah, time I learned to do some investigating before making a fool of myself:cry:

Dear Esther isn't a game - it's a somewhat-interactive art piece. That doesn't mean that people shouldn't experience it, or that it shouldn't exist... but it does mean that they shouldn't expect it to be a good game.

I don't care if people play the 'art games' that get released now or not. It's just a little bizarre and ridiculous that they get savaged for just existing.

Avant Garde films are coming out all the time, and the response people have to them, if they aren't into experimental film, is "I don't want to watch that." That's great. Nobody is going to force you to watch something you don't want to.

What people don't do is write angry letters to their theaters for forcing them to see the film's title on the marquee every time they show up to see a new thriller.

Even if you don't like an artsy game or the game isn't very good, why is it so painful to just know that it exists and that somebody made it?

EDIT: This isn't a direct response to you, Detruire, more of a rant in the direction of nobody in particular.

Nice, they added steam trading cards to Borderlands 2, I'm not too surprised this game fits in perfectly to the whole trading cards system. I haven't played it in awhile so this is the perfect way to get me back into it. Now I just hope they add Left 4 Dead 2 next.

If I learned anything from history it is that the best course of action is eliminate all that is different and/or you dislike. Unfortunately, most people are against that so vile filth like Dear Esther must exist.

Got Zero and Salvador. If I can get the 3 missing cards for under $1 each I'll probably go ahead and buy em. It's not real money anyway, I have a $12 balance just from selling TF2 stuff they gave me for free.

But it's money you can use in the Steam Store! That's real money!

Oh joy, they've added Borderlands 2 cards! More free money. :)

Well I guess it's not free when you consider the cost of the game purchase. But since I only paid $4 for my copy, I should come close to breaking even.
That's a solid HB. Surprised they picked Proteus for one of their BTA games.
Well. It's new. Beyond that...

I actually just played through a play of the game. Took 40 minutes or so. I'm still processing.

I just sold one card for a buck. I hope I get my final two cards before the market collapses.

LOL!

I have also learned hat it's fun to talk your way out of situations and/or talk others into situations, as well - see Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas; & Planescape: Torment. ;)

I sense sarcasm but I agree with this 100%

Got a Maya Foil card and ended up selling it for like $15. I got tired of playing the undercutting game and dropped the price a bunch. $13 for a fucking e-peen-card is a-okay with me.
I sense sarcasm but I agree with this 100%
I would say my "spider-senses" sensed the sarcasm too, but Spoderman might have "spider-sense" trademarked. ;)
And even trademarked "spoder-senses", too. ;)

Is it true you have to have a Steam 'level of at least 10 to get foil cards?

Hey.. some people got BL2 for free from GG 4 pack purchases (during the price glitch), after selling off the copies they didn't need ;)

Yeah sold the 3 cards I got for about $3. Is there really a point to keeping them and trying to finish the sets? I know you can supposedly get coupons and such?
Yeah sold the 3 cards I got for about $3. Is there really a point to keeping them and trying to finish the sets? I know you can supposedly get coupons and such?
Honestly the straight 'cash'/steambucks seems like a better option than getting 50% off Portal 2.
Is it true you have to have a Steam 'level of at least 10 to get foil cards?
I've heard this but I don't think it's been confirmed anywhere. Also interested in knowing.
Yeah sold the 3 cards I got for about $3. Is there really a point to keeping them and trying to finish the sets? I know you can supposedly get coupons and such?
I've crafted 3 badges and each time I got

 • One chat emoticon (of the game I crafted for)
 • One profile background (of the game I crafted for)
 • One completely random coupon

Seems like the coupons are mostly junk but it's a good way for Valve to distribute them. I've seen some people who have crafted a 50% off coupon that supposedly applied to ANY game on Steam. Personally I got 33% off Ultratron, 50% off Sniper Elite, and 25% off Little Inferno (lol)
Yeah sold the 3 cards I got for about $3. Is there really a point to keeping them and trying to finish the sets? I know you can supposedly get coupons and such?
No point.. unless you want to collect badges/profile pics/emoticons, and raise your Steam level. Steam wallet is the best option IMO. If you do it any other way, you're doing just what Valve wants you to do.. spending money on useless shit when you could've bought a game or two.
