Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numberous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

Games, when possible, will have their SKU number posted. Please post any SKU numbers you have that aren't already in the list!

Also, some stores will be able to give you a price adjustment if your clearance game(s) drop-- if not, you can always try to return and rebuy the game(s).

It's a Jabra headset and it is decent even though it's kind of old now. it's really small though but it gets the job done. There are better ones out there but if you're interested in Warhawk then it's a good deal.

I've gotta check if my TRU clearanced out Folklore. I know they have a few copies and they were around $30 a few weeks ago.
 
Mine had xblade and tons of other stuff for 10 bucks. I just don't want to buy more games, I already have enough for a while so I will just wait for AAA tiltles to reduce in price.

Seems most TRUs I've been to have been too busy to update most tags with the holiday rush being on. Too bad we don't have inside info as maybe there is some good stuff going unnoticed. Course I'm sure our insiders are too busy to get lists when they're so swamped at work themselves!

Yeah it's too bad we don't have a list yet, as the B1 get 40% off is about to end! Anyway, looking back at the old lists, if Red Alert and Folklore have dropped from 19.98 to 9.98, I expect that PS3 Bourne Conspiracy also made the same drop.

Anyway, I do plan to enter the warzone of a TRU on Christmas eve, so I'll try and scan some games, if there's actually anything left!

There's two versions of C&C: RA 3 out for the PS3. One is the Ultimate Edition(the one on clearance), while the other is the vanilla edition like apparently both you and I have found in our stores.

I had the normal edition scanned about a month ago and it came up $50 for me too.:cry:
 
Mine had dark void and project sylpheed for 9.98. I dint bother scanning much because I don't have much need for a bigger backlog right now.

I'm pretty sure there's only one version for the PS3. I can't find any evidence of a vanilla version on GameFAQs, Gamestop.com or Amazon.

The copy that I saw didn't say Ultimate Edition on the cover anywhere and the coverart looked different than the one listed on even Gamespot.com.

There's no US release of a non-Ultimate edition for the PS3. It could be that there was a used copy with non-US cover art or that they resealed it with the insert reversed, but there is no such thing as a vanilla version of C&C 3 for the PS3 in the US.
 
The closest thing to an Ultimate Edition is the Premier Edition for PC. I sort of regret buying my Xbox copy at Kmart using a $15 coupon. I got for for essentially five dollars, but it wasn't the best use of a coupon.

Oooooh, yeah. Insane. And the store near me was recently renovated and had a Babies R Us section added, without actually increasing the size of the store, so now the place is super-cramped.

Hmm WWII Aces was $14.99 when I checked it last week. Has it now gone back to $4 again?

It's always been $4.00 every time I've scanned it the past 4 weeks. The copies even have the $14.99 sticker on the front cover. Is it possible there's another version with a sticker UPC over the game's UPC?

Hmm...I did pick up one in November for $4, but I scanned one on Xmas Eve and it was $14.99. I don't remember if there was a sticker over the UPC, but that would explain the difference. Maybe they have a separate '14.99 value games' UPC.
 
WWII Aces went from 4.00 to 14.99 and is still 14.99 today. Its the same game and no stickers, I though of that and checked. Josef's TRU must be fucking magical not to get the price changes.
 
Picked up Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3 in my local Toys R' Us for $19.99. Last copy - though I'm not sure if it was a pricing error - but if it was, they didn't bring it to my attention. The sticker looked a bit misplaced on the box too. YMMV I guess, but keep your eyes open - maybe it was a price drop like at Gamestop?

It's possible I'm mistaken here. I've been to around 7 TRUs in the last week and I'm pretty sure I scanned some WWII Aces in that time, but I could be wrong about the price still being $4.00. I just know that last time I bought it, it was $4.00. Will definitely scan it on my next visit to TRU this week. Approximately when was it reported to have gone up to $14.99?
 
My local Toys R Us sucks now for video games. They used to have all the games on a shelves with a section for $10-20 games. Now they are all behind a glass case and they don't seem to stock anything new that sells for less than $29.99.

And damn are the used video games expensive. $8 for Sneak King?!

Ok... I gotta ask this but to those of you find clearance games, are you guys finding them on the shelves with the other games? Or are you finding them in some bins or different racks?

It seems like my TRU is starting to pull all clearance games from the normal shelves... they're all in bins/clearance racks and marked with the clearance prices. I'll never be able to find anything at TRU again..:whistle2:(

There's usually some on the shelves, but the good finds for me are usually in a clearance bin in the back corner of the games section.

It's actually the reverse for me. The stores I use to visit always had bins. Now, they are mixed in with everything else. Despite that fact, I still use to find a lot of great stuff, most likely because people are too lazy to actually dig.

Was just at the TRU in Richmond on Quiccassin (sp?) off of Parham. Looked like the aftermath of a frat party.

Not much for me to score in the DS and Wii aisles. 360 and PS3 fans may feel luckier than I.

TRU here in Midlothian is bare too. They just dont carry as much video game stock as they used too..:cry:
 
I'm not sure who initially posted Folklore but thanks, I just got back from scoring my copy. I've been wanting to check that game out since I got my PS3 a couple years back. I'm pretty sure I'll never find it new for cheaper than $10.
 
I picked up Bayonetta for the 360 and Folklore..combined total was $15.87. Thanks for the heads up on the kickass prices of both of these clearance games, and the sale going on this week @ TRU.

The copies of Uncharted that I was finding were a mix. They were in the big dump bin in one store and on the shelf in another.

I see... since mine has 4 fucking bins, I take it that Folklore and X-Blades are somewhere in one of those. If any are left. I know one bin is used, but the other 3 are a complete mess.

Mine too.. roughly 50% of the shelves are empty. I've been there post Christmas before but it's never been that empty.

Save your money on X-Blades. The entirety of the main characters dialogue sounds very 'valley girl'. I'm shocked she wasn't saying 'like' every other word to describe things.

But if you want to still get it, you can try Kmart, as it's $5 there(for PS3 anyway).

I wouldn't say a boatload, but I definitely found quite a few(6-8 or so). Had I known they were to go off clearance after the Black Friday 'sale' price of $14.99 I would've grabbed the rest for those who couldn't find them at their stores.

However, I DO NOT HAVE ANYMORE. All of the copies I had were gone before Christmas. But if folks haven't played Tomb Raider: Underworld or Mercenaries 2 as of yet I'd suggest(again) that they look into picking up the ESA Game Pack as it has Uncharted and those other two games for $30 total.

It's currently available at Gamestop, Best Buy and Amazon. Although it would appear to be already out of stock at Amazon, as the lowest price it's available for is $42.99, which is $13 over MSRP.
