PlayStation 4 Pre-Order Thread *GREATNESS OUT NOW!*

I remember when the PS3 launched and people were trying to flip them. Turns out that the demand was a lot lower then supply. Then the flippers got all pissy when they returned them to Gamestop and had to wait two weeks for their refund checks.

Butthurt flipper: "What? TWO WEEKS!? I spent my rent money trying to resell this. I need the money now!"

GS Employee: "Sorry. But we don't keep $600 cash in the drawer. Cooperate will mail you a check."

lol. Those were good times. I hope the same thing happens the XBone flippers.
I wasn't in a position to purchase when ps3 launched, but the supply/demand worked out for me. Found a scalper who had passed his return period on craigslist and got a 60gb one for a ps2 slim, $50, and a laptop I had purchased 9 months earlier for about $300.

Is there a way to give someone a amazon preorder? I have the DS4 bundle preordered but I don't think I am going to get it.

Nope can't trade it. Already checked

Stop debating guys...

This shit will come back in stock just in time after a peak amount of hype has built up that it is sold out everywhere.

I checked out multiple international sites that were still taking pre-orders as little as 5 days ago. Trust me, sony and MS have a ton of units. This is just a ploy to make gullible consumers get all hyped up and throw down the cash asap as soon as they see the product come back into stock.

Sony has been pretty straightforward. They stated last week that they will have a great supply at launch and those that didn't pre-order will probably be able to get one fairly quickly. MS remains to be seen.

Just have them pay for it and then ship it to them.
This - I do stuff like this often. Whoever you want to give/trade it to just have them buy an amazon gc for the amount, apply it to your account, then apply it to your preorder and change the shipping address to theirs. This is also handy for 'buy two get x' discounts/promos that Amazon does as you can ship each individual item to a different location, so you can go halvsies with a fellow cag.

Wow, anger issues.

I pre-ordered both systems because I wasn't sure which I'd want. I decided I don't want the PS4, so why not make a profit that's there? People had plenty of time to pre-order. Sorry most people don't have the foresight to pre-order then decide later.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone for asking a simple question. Typically this community is much better than this. :whistle2:\

Edit:

Also, I'd never rip off a fellow CAGer. I doubt that CHEAP Ass Gamers would want to pay they ebay cost of PS4. They're too intelligent for that.
Why don't you want this awesome system?

I love this CAG, flipped so many things on amazon that i have my ps4 paid in full.only paid about $140 from my pocket for the flips.

If I remember right when the Wii U came out you said you could see what shipments you were getting for like 2 months or something. Can you not do that for PS4 soon to see what you will be getting?

I'm hoping you guys are right I've talked to employees at both GS and bb they said they don't know how many of either systems they will be getting and they plan on being sold out. They could just be full of it as well but, I'm betting they won't have more systems until late december.

Remember, Sony already said they are holding back stock so that they have plenty come Christmas.  I am betting that the preordered people are only ones to get launch consoles, then we see them scarce until black friday where Sony and Microsoft will ship out more, and then slowly more will come available as shopping season really gets going...

I hope that people looking to flip end up not making the money they thought!!  I hate seeing people proser over the holidays because of desperate parents looking to be the heroes for their kids...

(and yes I know someone will reply well the parents don't have to spend the money, or the kid is a brat, or what ever when it comes to parents who pay that price. but I know there are parents out there just really wanting to reward an actual good kid and will do whatever it takes!)

I didn't know there was a thread. I just got the email and posted. Sorry.
Haha. I'm sorry, too, cuz I posted in the wrong thread; thought you posted the photo in response to someone who questioned your first post (can't remember which thread that was in...maybe they hid their post or I'm all confused and need a break...lol)

:/ still apprehensive about jumping for launch consoles. o.o right now I'm just amazed mad catz is now jumping into the game with their own android console. I remember it was like 10 years ago mad catz brand stuff was cheap and unreliable.. now suddenly during this past gen they've reinvented themselves.

Android games on a TV?

But seriously. I don't see the appeal of Android games (a majority which are only good for pick up and play on the go) on a TV; the emulator apps, yes, but people already have PCs for that. There's just too many good games as it is on consoles, dedicated handhelds, and PCs.

Sadly, I think I'll be canceling my launch day PS4 preorder on Amazon.

I have the PS4 paid off with gift cards but there aren't any launch titles that I want to play any more than the 150+ physical and digital games in my backlog of PS3/Vita/360 games.

I've had every console since the NES days and I know I'll get a PS4 eventually. I think I need to worry about tackling the ever-growing backlog for now, though.

I'm right with you, which is why I never preordered in the first place.

I had a ton of games in my backlog for a while, I'm finally within 10 games now. I just had to learn that i don't have to take advantage of every deal posted here on CAG, since most of the games would be even cheaper if i waited to buy them, until i actually had the time to play them.

Im probably going to skip out on buying a PS4 too. I waited 3 years to buy a PS3. The PS2 was the only console Ive bought at launch. Im just not interested in any of the launch titles. I already have GTA V, and have only played it for an hour so far. MGS V is the only game that would convince me to buy a PS4 at launch. That game probably won't be out till next summer/fall. So Im in no hurry whatsoever for a PS4.

So changing payment method on Amazon gives up your spot in line, but what about upgrading shipping? I plan to re-up on Prime in November, and switch my order to *hopefully* free release date shipping, or ~$10 one day shipping.

I'm confused. I changed the payment on both of mine on amazon, and they still have guaranteed delivery on Nov 15.

why are the ps4 going for $1000 on ebay? ebay has a policy where presales can't be sold until 30 days before launch. so actually there SHOULD BE NO PS4s BEING SOLD ON EBAY!

eBay or Sony shouldn't allow any to be sold, period. A least until after launch. That's money being stolen out of Sony's pocket.

I see some Buy-It-Now's asking $1000 but the ones with bids are in the low $600 range. After ebay and PayPal fees, the resellers are not really making that much (especially if an issue comes up).

Can anyone explain why people are selling PS4 purchase tickets from Walmart on eBay? I figure that it wouldn't work to take a PS4 pre-order from one store to another but people are making $30 - $70 on these.

ignorance. walmart is a layaway system. those people will get scammed.

They are just posting those to prove they have the pre-order. You aren't buyign the "slip".

eBay will abide by any guidelines Sony establishes. None-the-less eBay would prefer to make a profit today as opposed to waiting until November. Those that are rightfully selling on eBay have pre-orders of which adds to Sony's momentum. PS4's going for $2999 on eBay is surprisingly good for everyone (Sony, eBay, brick and mortar stores, online retailers, those that were able to purchase one or several) with the exception of those that were unable to obtain one.

Money being stolen out of Sony's pocket?!? :wall:

You do realize the items being sold are authentic PS4's, right? More importantly, when the PS4 leaves manufacturing it's shipped to fill an order. Whether the eBay 'seller' buys the actual console from Amazon, Best Buy, Game Stop, Target, etc., Sony has already made their profit.

Hey Romeo, did you know Sony sells the PS4 for less than the retail price of $399.99? :whistle2:$
