That's okay, folks. Just like what happened with the Wii U scalpers last year, they are more than likely going to get owned. And then get blacklisted from Best Buy for returning 2+ units.

lol, i made out a like a bandit last year with the wii us. Sold 10 of them at 480 to 570 a pop. not a single return! LOL

Calm down. My post was not directed at you. My post was directed at MrFocus. I quoted him, didn't I? I didn't quote you. You obviously didn't see the context of my post.

He closed his post by stating, "hey Romeo." I was responding to him by stating, "hey Romeo." Reading comprehension is a good thing. I'm on your side, this isn't a flip thread it's a preorder thread.

On a side note, if you think you deserve respect because you have been an anonymous user on an internet forum for 10 years... well, that's really just sad.

I just won a PS4 through the Taco Bell contest. I've never won anything like that, but I may just hang onto my launch-edition Amazon pre-order because I'm paranoid.

Thanks! Yeah, the email says by November 12th, so just 3 days before. I'm more excited about not having to drop so much cash for a new system, which I'll now be putting towards new vet bills for my dog.

at this point i think mods need to step in and control this flipping talk and make it keep that garbage in the tread that was made just for that talk. 

i don't care if you flip even if i don't think it's right and i don't care how much money you make if you cared about fellow gamers you would never do it. With that said just keep it off this thread and talk about it in the thread that it's met to be talked in.

I would rather the mods clean up and prevent all of the MSRP and pre-order threads before dealing with that.

Sony gets theirs, the reseller gets theirs and the second buyer gets their console. If you want to berate anyone, take it out on the idiots that pay $1000+ for the consoles and not the ones that are simply trying to make a couple extra dollars.

at first sony will good chance make almost nothing on the system with them selling for 400 bucks so it makes it ok for someone to make say 1000-1500 on a system? i really think ps4/x1 will not be hard to find in most areas so for someone to think he will make 2000 on each system on like 30 systems is just nonsense

i guess you are not a person that care about other people and fellow games and people like that is why the economy is the way it is just saying.

It's not our concern if Sony is making a profit on the systems or not. They set the price, so they must live with the consequences.

I don't disagree that those goals are unrealistic. I simply don't understand the vitriol that is directed at resellers. They have every right to do with their possessions as they please.

Still pretty wild that I will be owning a PS4 this gen...I was practically a Xbox only gamer for the last couple of years. Then the well dried up in terms of exclusives. And Sony started getting a ton of them. Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, Killzone 2, Infamous 1+2, The Last of Us and Ni No kuni to name of few are the games I really enjoyed on PS3, because otherwise I played multiplats exclusively on 360, because a number of them ran smoother on 360. However, I haven fallen out of love Xbox, Halo 3 was the last Halo I really enjoyed. ODST, Reach did not rekindle my interest. I didn't even both to get 4, though maybe I should, it is really cheap now.

Gears of War was my favorite series, was let down by judgement.  Now I wonder if EPIC will go multiplat with the IP.

Sony seems to have much more variety nowadays, and although they only have about 3 launch titles, I am honestly more interested in Killzone and Knack then I am in Ryse, or Dead Rising 3.

This is mostly a games thing for me, I didn't care too much about the policies. The price is a factor somewhat, I mean $100 is a nice savings.  But it's mostly because I feel microsoft will not conitnue to support the console with different genres, outside of the occasional paid exclusive. If Titanfall were releasing in the launch window, or even Quantum Break, I'd be tempted to go with Xbox one.

Well, here's hoping Sony's online offerings have improved!

Best games, disappointments and expectations... I totally agree with you! If I played offline games ONLY, I'd switch to PS4.

 
I honestly feel like we are all going to be surprised by the playstation network.  Requiring people to pay to play online will make a huge difference in the network.  I mean Xbox fanboys who only have the argument that Xbox Live will no longer have that if they can upgrade servers with the money, add on top of that the value you get with the free games versus Xbox's Games with Gold program and it isn't even close!

I am getting super excited, almost one month to go!!!!  I only owe $100 on my PS4, and I have a $60 gift card to Best Buy where I am going to preorder my two launch titles to get $20 back...  add in Drive Club and resogun for free and that is four decent titles that should keep me busy for a while!

Still super psyched to try remote play so I can play before bed while the Wife reads!!! :)

 
Agree with both of you, it is part of the reason, xbox has become my main system this gen.. the amount of updates the ps3 has and the slow speeds even though I have 30mbs speeds... xbox takes seconds to download anything!

This should speed it up since they will be getting money from everyone using it.  so only the people who pay use it it should either bring in a decent amount of change to upgrade, or lower the amount of people that use it!

 
I have become accustomed to letting things download over night. I'm just ready for it to get here. need to rearrange my audio setuo

I think it will make a lot of people mad. A lot of people believe that psn will still be free. I see some backlash coming. "I bought a ps4 for free online, this is bullshit." Sony probably is happy to let it slide under the rador just like they tried to keep it hush hush at E3.

I think Sony's network capabilities will be better than prior years but it'll take some time before they can measure up to the 800lb. gorilla aka Xbox Live. Once Sony's gaming network matches Microsoft, Xbox One will be hard pressed to appease their gamer audience.
