Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

From last night until now I went from zero Uplay friends to 12. Thanks dudes. If anyone else wants a Uplay friend my username on there is deadmachines There are some kind of social chests in AC4 that have to do with your friends or whatever. I think when I found one it said that my friends will be notified of its location.

Just so you're aware, Drabe found that if you select both Gianna coupons from HugeSeal, you can apply the 80% off coupon to the bundle and it will register as 2 games bought.
Yeah I'm aware of that but I already bought the base game so I figured that wouldn't work :)

Also, if anyone has a spare Shadowgrounds (or Shadowgrounds Survivor) key, I'd like to buy it. I don't want to buy my games and then get a cheap bundle game as my freebie.

Yeah, and along those lines, if when the EC list is up and you see a game that ends up being free, grab it immediately. Last year, the free games were supposed to be nixxed, but some fat fingering ( ;) ) caused the Bioshock pack and Hotline Miami to be free when they first popped up.

Not that I condone such acts of exploitation.
hotlline miami i got that bioshock when where how why blames mysterd even tho ddidnt know him yet heh. they take their shitty time to update bc most publisher doenst tell them that. gmg is the worst

f1 racestars drop quickeer on gamersgate than gmg. they just lsot my money thank you steam for saving me impulse buy rage on star trek welll that aint going to be borught thank you fox hack for lletitng us know price drop

With all of this Huge Seal discussion lately, I couldn't resist joining in and gambling by spinning the giant wheel for a try at a decent game.

Going in I had 27 of the 35 (What's wrong with me!?! Seriously.) After picking up Death Rally ($2), Time Gentleman Please ($1), and Swords & Soldiers HD ($2.50) I drank some coffee feverishly as I clicked on "Claim your free game". I ended up getting Element4l which pleases me. It was between Element4l, Cubetractor, La-Mulana, Skulls of the Shogun, and Spacechem for the freebie. If it ended up being Spacechem I was going to go sob and hyperventilate while amped up on my afternoon caffeine consumption (No, let's not be silly, I wouldn't have done that... at least I'd like to think not).

I don't know if this helped, but I had a Spacechem & Shogun coupons still unused from Huge Seal and before I bought Death Rally I clicked on the lock icon to say they were used. I was just trying to make sure I didn't get a commonly bundled game or a game I didn't necessarily want. Maybe it helped, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

{half-shrug combo'd with a sip of coffee}

The deals hath returned! All praise the almighty video game sales gods, for they have not forsaken us!
There's only one and his name is Tony. Gaben is a false prophet. Tony shows us the path to true Cagliness by way of the mighty river. All hail Tony, be his name forever held on high.

Damn...X Rebirth is getting absolutely torched in reviews/user score on metacritic. I saw a few trailers and was really looking forward to it. Hopefully in a few months they'll have the game fixed, at the time being it's a broken mess.
It's bound to be one of those games that requires being patched to hell and back before being worth the effort, and by then...

X Rebirth will be fine by the time it hits 75% off
Exactly.

This is exactly what bundles are for!

Isn't Skyrim Legendary just Game + DLC + Steam Update (ie, isn't the "Legendary" portion available to base game free anyways?). Or am I wrong?
You are correct, AshesKitty confirmed it for me, Legendary is just a "catch up" bundled product, there's nothing in that edition that owners of the base game+DLC+Updates don't already have.

Anybody else underwhelmed by the Amazon sale? I didn't see any must-buys for me. Some of the prices aren't the lowest they've been, but the bigger issue for me is Amazon is just not getting enough new games. It's always the same stuff on sale, and with my library padded with Humble Bundles and my Steam wallet full of card money I have very little incentive to buy anything from them. It's gotten to the point where even the $5 future purchase credit is no longer much incentive for me, as I think I'd have trouble finding things to spend it on. It's too bad, as my wishlist has gotten quite large over the past few weeks and I'd welcome more competition from different retailers.

I could have posted this in the Amazon thread, but I figured this thread is the home of the super hoarder CAGs more so than that one. People are getting excited about $15 Lego bundles over there.
maybe I have too many games but

IGN has learned from multiple sources that Telltale Games is developing a game based on George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones.

It’s worth noting that, while “Game of Thrones” is the title of HBO’s series based on Martin’s books, the series itself is actually known as A Song of Ice and Fire, and the first book is titled Game of Thrones. It’s currently unclear what title Telltale will be using for its game, and whether the storyline will be based on the show, books, or something entirely new.

We reached out to Telltale and received the following statement from Steve Allison, SVP of Publishing:

“We get these sorts of rumors about what we could be working on next cropping up all the time. Officially we have no comment.”

get hype

this is probably that 'dream IP' they were talking about working on a while ago

I got a foil card... "Hooray!"  The foil card is The Princess from Superfrog HD... "What? Oh c'mon! I don't want a cheap foil."

So, do I try to sell it for $0.40 or buy the other 4 foil cards and complete my first foil set? This is the foil badge -->

Edit: Haha... /sigh. The fact it kind of crossed my mind hurts my gaming soul.

That 40 extra cents will buy you DLC during the winter sale, or in the rare occasion, almost get you a game--PB Winterbottom was 49 cents once.
