I think I have said that a million times in this thread. Really should have been level balancing, while it did help me learn a bunch of new strategies from playing against high Gen people it is very annoying when you team is low level people against a team of people in their first, second and third gens.

Now does anyone know what they are doing about hackers? Played today and a guy on the other team was taking no damage. He literally went all three matches I played against him with 0 deaths and 10-20 Pilot Kills in each. One time I even dropped a Satchel Charge before he killed me and I have the auto-detonate Satchel Charge ability which should kill no matter what. I know they said earlier this week they were rolling out anti-cheating measures but seems like that should have been out by now.

Is there any way to report people for suspicion of cheating? Though I suppose if there was they would get inundated with false reports from people upset someone had a good match against them and claiming they were a cheater.

Did you record it? Cause that'll be an almost immediate Xbox ban.

Nope, wish I thought of that. I do have his Xbox Live tag written down, I checked his profile and it was just made today and only achievements are for Titanfall. I was wondering if maybe he was already banned and made a new account.

I still don't understand how people cheat, has the Xbox One really already been hacked?

I did some research and apparently it is due to the lag compensation system they have in place. From what I understand Pilots take reduced damage while lagging to make them not an auto-kill, which people are taking advantage of by "manipulating their upstream" to lag and gain near invincibility when combined with Stim.

It depends where they are in their gen. I just hit gen 4 last night and i'm pretty good, but starting a new gen with no guns and abilities unlocked doesn't exactly give me a huge advantage over some of the lower ones. The biggest advantage for us, is knowing the maps because we've played longer.

I've recorded a bunch of clips...maybe i'll post some here.

 
I don't really have a problem with it. If they are good, it makes you better. That is the problem with experience leveling, they might be gen 7 and they can completely suck. I have always liked Halo 3's ranking system. Most of the time it would match you within 5 to 10 ranks of you or you would get matched with level 50 and get smoked or you would crush them because they bought the level 50 account.
 
Balancing adjustments and general changes
 

  • - The damage indicator from Electric Smoke is now much more noticeable
  • - Search Drones will now show up in Classic Modes of Angel City
  • - Arc grenade/mine effects no longer draw on friendly Pilots and Titans
  • - Lowered the point value of defensive actions in Hardpoint mode and CTF.
  • - Increased the score limit in Attrition
  • - Flag Return points reduced
  • - Flag Carrier killed points reduced
  • - Explosives detonated by Dead Man's Trigger are now slightly delayed
  • - Explosives detonated by Dead Man's Trigger now play a warning sound before exploding
  • - Slightly decreased the damage of the Smart Pistol when not locked onto a Pilot
  • - Slightly decreased the hip-fire accuracy of the Smart Pistol
  • - Certain Burn Cards could be exploited to give multiple uses
  • - Evac Dropships are now more responsive to Pilots entering them
  • - Hacking a Mega Turret will now restore it's health to full
  • - Cluster Missiles damage reduced against Evac Dropships
Bug Fixes
 

  • - Titan could become stuck in the position he lands in
  • - Auto-Titan wouldn't stand up until you embarked into it
  • - Several rare server issues restarting the game in to the lobby
  • - Pilot could end up out of bounds while rodeoing a Titan as it is destroyed
  • - Pilot could warp through certain locations when jumping off a Titan
  • - Rodeoing a Titan that has been doomed by your SMR could kill you
  • - Players being able to enter some geometry in Smuggler's Cove
  • - Titanfall will now give proper kill credit when it kills a Pilot embarking into their Titan
  • - Minions in Attrition now continue to spawn until the Epilogue begins
  • - Player couldn't hack a Mega Turret console
  • - Server would sometimes error when leeching a Spectre
  • - Hardpoints sometimes awarded defense score to players not near the hardpoint
  • - Rare issue when ejecting from a Titan
  • - Server would sometimes error after a match while returning to the lobby
  • - Double XP burn card sometimes not being applied properly
 
I was going to say I've gotten the hang of the evac ship now but maybe it was that update. I also noticed the lower points on hardpoint defense actions last night.

CTF + Personal Alarm system (or whatever the infinite and more powerful arc mines burn card is) = hilariously annoying to the other team.

I honestly burn this card and hide to stay alive and just drop tons of the mines on the flag all game. It is the one time I can think of that I have truly camped/hid in any FPS. Hillarious to hear the whining after the game is over.

The one thing that has been annoying me is it seems that there isn't as much customization to keep my attention with only a few options for each class. Still a blast. Just seems to be missing that little extra "it" to make it a 10/10. Hopefully it's addressed as respawn seems to be talking about updates a lot.
 
I've already played more Titanfall than I did of Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Ghost. I'm glad that I'm actually enjoying a MP game again. I already bought the SP also. Hopefully after I start "gening" I'll still enjoy the game. I'm closing in on lvl 50 right now.

 
Gotta say, the more I play this game, the more I like it. Took me till about level 35 or do till I felt that I finally had a good grasp on my own play style as well.

Must be missing something. It's definitely possible to go back and replay Campaign levels - just go into the Campaign area and select the level you want (don't select Quick Play).

You may wind up on the IMC side or Militia side.. aside from leaving the lobby and trying again, I don't know another way to switch sides.

I wish there was a way to choose which side you will be on for the campaign and something to show you which missions you have won to keep track for the achievements. I guess I will eventually get it trying to accomplish the play 50 campaign game achievements but :/ lol.
 
I read that some new game modes are in the works so that's a plus. I wonder if that will be paid DLC or free. I still haven't bought the season pass yet. I've been burned a lot with them so I'm hesitant to buy it.

A couple of my friends actually went back to playing COD. I just dont understand it. I really wish that series would die out already.

Yeah - the game obviously collects that information. Strange that we're not privy to it.

I won each Militia match the first time through, but lost an IMC match somewhere. Just started from the beginning and played through again on the IMC side, and if my team lost a particular mission I'd opt out of the lobby and choose that mission again, making sure to be on the IMC. Popped that achievement eventually.. which is kinda dumb, because really, how important are achievements?

Ah, to actively participate in my own hypocrisy. Feels dirty.

Made it to gen 5 yesterday. From gen 1 through gen 4, I got exactly 10 ejecting pilot kills (got the Pull achievement), and now to get to gen 6 I need to kill 50 more. This...might be tough.

Couple more random tips:

-double tap X to detonate satchel, you don't need the detonator out.

-2 arc grenades will take a titan's shield down completely

-if you rodeo and the guy jumps out, call in your titan below and it might crush his titan.

-cluster missile + smoke is my fav. combo. Shoot the missile on the ground behind the titan, and then dash towards the titan and use smoke. In a corridor or small space, he'll be forced to to be hurt by one (or both) while you keep shooting him.

Hardpoint rebalancing completely transformed the game mode. Its basically attrition now. I played a fair bit this weekend and most players were ignoring objectives completely.

This. I defended a few points and didn't see a soul. Everyone just deathmatched.

Also: With Cluster Missile, if you are rodeo'd, shoot it against a wall (or a Titan) and turn your back to it -- the mini explosions/missiles will take out the rodeo -- keep in mind, you will also take damage, but it's better to take a little damage than letting them doom your Titan.

Do you have to have finished the campaign first? I tried to replay a couple levels last night and anytime I selected one nothing happened.

Also as I've played through the campaign, it feels like Battlefront with real people in addition to bots. No idea of the story but that's not what matters here haha

I'm not much of an achievement whore but this gen I'm trying to complete most of the games I buy instead of el hordo lol. With the addition of the feed I like the fact that my friends will see what I have accomplished.

I've finished the IMC campaign and have both achievements but I've been having a string of bad luck with the damn militia lol. I keep leaving and reentering lobbies until I'm militia but I won maybe one out of six matches until I called it quits with campaign. The messed up part was I had already won that mission beforehand and the achievement tracker hasn't moved.

That's weird.. sorry, no idea what might be up. Have you checked Respawn forums at all?

As for the story.. hah, token story at best, to make it seem like there is a campaign and probably hire a few friends to make a dime recording some voiceover.

lol Spybreak, I am really surprised at how awesome 30 seconds of recorded video makes my day. Like playing ghosts yesterday I got the final kill cam on accident on Search and rescue by planting bomb 1v1 and I tossed a throwing knife straight up (don't ask me why) then got knifed almost immediately. The dude t-bagged me and took 4-5 steps then got hit with the throwing knife. I laughed so hard I'm pretty sure I peed myself a little. The xbox record feature is one of the best this gen.

Stuff like that and the link you provided make those "DID YOU JUST SEE THAT" moments so much more fun.

Is anyone else concerned about the 360 version of the game? Aside from the title of the game, the console it releases on, price, and a vague release date, no one has any information about it nor has seen it in action in any sense. Is it possible Microsoft delayed it because the XBOne version was what it took to finally move consoles, or are there plans to make the 360 version superior with constant delays? Who knows. All I know is that I'm not paying $500 for a console to play 1 game

 
I don't care what the game or who the developer is - if I haven't seen squat a week before release, we have a problem.

They could promise me the best game or port ever - then I'd remember every promise Peter Molyneux ever made.. and that's a lot of broken ones.

Could it be spectacular? Sure. But a media blackout for this long, and this extensive? No.

Yeah, not seeing *anything* on a major release like this is stinky.  Something is afoot!  I hope I'm wrong, but everything about it just reeks of major disaster.

I agreed, I cancelled my pre-order.

 
I'm just starting but the matchmaking in this game is terrible.  I played the last two nights and am getting put against much stronger teams.  I'm just starting so I'm level 7-16 now and am starting in campaign.  EVERY MATCH my team of low to mid level players is placed against a team with 2 or 3 regens (normally 2-5 regens in).  So of course we get shelled every time.  At one point I had a win percentage of 15%!!!! (20 matches 3 total wins).  I know I'm new and am not great but I wasn't that bad to single handedly cause that, we were simply out matched every match.

Needless to say it hasn't been a lot of fun getting handed every match.

At least there's no oak trees in Titanfall.

I agree though especially when Respawn told M$ they would NOT produce it on 360 because of limitations.

Yeah, this is a problem and has been bugging me, too.

My guess is that, if they're not already friends, the Regens stick together on a team - and the newer folks bounce around until they find a game that isn't terribly mismatched.

I certainly don't like joining up to see I'm the highest on my side (when I'm not that high), but see 2 Lvl 2, a Lvl 4 and a Lvl 6 on the other side.

Private match? Fine. Duking it out at 2am in the morning for the hell of it? Not so much. Time to find a new lobby...

Pretty sure that is how it goes as I do it myself. Get lucky enough to get placed on a good team and I don't leave that team til it breaks up or quits. Be unlucky enough to get on the noob team and I play the game and leave or leave before the game starts.
 
If I play with my friends, we have a hard time finding a match, because one is Gen 8, 2 others Gen 6, another Gen 5 and I'm Gen 2. Nobody sticks around unless they are 3+ of a clan.

If I play alone, I end up getting stuck on a scrub team and we lose every time, and I usually end up the MVP (and I'm not really all that great to begin with).

Through around 150 games or so, I think my overall win percentage is 88%, though.
