Shouldn't say that, unless it just shows him needing to check out and then it coming up free.

Should just say "Get it free" Then after clicking that it redeemed and I could install it. It's possible they fixed it assuming it's a bug.

 
^Microsoft prolly noticed the sudden increase in digital downloads using pre-purchased codes and found out target is selling the dualpack for $20.98 and had to shut it down not wanting their game sold so cheap this early in its lifecycle.

Granted even they know it wasn't as good as expected.

 
How can microsoft make you pay for something you already paid for?  It's not your fault a retailer wanted to get that merch off their shelves.  I highly doubt that's what's happening here.

When does Target decrease clearance items?  It's Tuesday isnt it?  I'd like to pick this up at the next drop.  ;)

Why would MS care what it's being sold for? It's not their game.
 
I was able to snag up two more last night. Hit me up people. $27 paypal. prices have gone up to cover for TAX. If I sell it for $25 im only at $2 and change profit.

No they don't. Lol publishers pay microsoft before the game is pressed. Microsoft gets "paid" from said games selling consoles in return getting more developers to develop for microsoft.

So really what you just said is MS still gets paid. Case and point.
 
While it's probably more complex than most of us know, my understanding is Target places the order through the publisher. Any money MS makes from licensing has already happened before that. When something doesn't sell out and a retailer wants it off the shelves, it can sometimes sell the unsold inventory back to the publisher, usually at a discount, or it can clearance the item and take a loss.

TLDR; This being on clearance doesn't directly affect MS at all financially.

 
I kind of want to pick up xbox 1 again but man the prices are dropping like crazy

It's looking like a 99% chance of a big drop at e3 or sooner

Do these codes work on the 360 getting the gold edition for the extra Map and wolf skin like the xbox one?

Odd.  There was one left at my local target, but it scanned $59.99.  And, yes, I had the digital code...xbox 360 + Xbox One, thin case.....in my hand, not the regular game. 

 
If I have the Season Pass from a 360-purchased version, will I be able to use one of these codes to download to an X1 and then redeem the Season Pass content on that console?  

If so, I may have to go hunting for one of these (neither of my closest Targets had them) or else buy one from a fellow CAG.  Thanks!

Can someone clarify this for me, I read an earlier post that says you can get the Xbox One & 360 version with one code? Is that right and if so is which version do you buy to get both versions?

You enter your code on the 360 (or xbox.com) and when you load up your Xbox One, you get the Gold Edition as an upgrade.

This whole thread is about the digital combo pack. It includes both versions of the game with one code. The picture in the OP is pretty clear on what to look for. It's a 360 case just really thin.

 
Just found the last one of these at the Paramus, NJ Target inside the display case for $22.45 after taxes! :D
