I'm pretty sure many people already went ahead and made preorders already, but will start a thread anyhow.

lol... I just saw this. They are out of stock as well... How nice! In case anyone is looking for a copy elsewhere futureshop and bestbuy online also have them available for pre-order. It also looks like they are distinguishing between the the regular edition and the black armor (pre-order edition) of the game. Those of you who ordered during e3 might want to double check to make sure you get the black armor edition.

My pre-order from Future Shop back when Dark Souls came out did get automatically upgraded to the premium edition like they were all supposed to be, but I know as well as anyone that's not enough of a precedent to trust FS this time around. Going to put a pre-order in on the CE (which comes with the BA edition) just to be safe.

 
I've noticed that my June 2013 Dark Souls 2 preorder now says "Dark Souls II Black Armor Edition".

Still, I'm going to preorder the CE at FS (on top of my EB CE preorder)

That's 3 copies of Dark Souls 2 preordered. Can't get enough of this series!

 
Hey, so does anyone know how the shipping with Pokemon X/Y will work? It comes out on a Saturday (of a long weekend, no less). Should I expect the game in the mail no earlier than Tuesday the 15th? There's no chance it'll arrive on Saturday, right?

I received Shin Megami Tensei 4 on the Friday before it came out on the following week. I don't know if the same will hold true for Pokémon, but it's possible.

 
This is kinda off-topic, but was there a sale very recently (with-in the past week) where a bunch of 3DS games were $5-$10 off at Future Shop online? like Star Fox 64 3D was $20 and Ocarina of Time 3D was $35? or did I just imagine the whole thing...

I forgot to cancel my pre-order for Pokemon with Futureshop. I guess I'll wait for the games to come in the mail, then return them.

 
Did anyone else pre-order Need for Speed Rivals for the PS4? When I check my order, it's being shown as "Sold Out", which I don't understand, considering I pre-ordered on June 13th. Every other copy of the game is in stock.

I've been receiving PS4 games that I never got a shipping notice for from FS. Their site/system is a serious mess.
 
I got my PS4 ship notice.

Sometimes I don't get notice on shipment if I changed my email on the orders.

I purposely make sure not to change a thing after I place an order, for that very reason :p I'm getting worried about getting my PS4 on day 1. I ordered that one from BB on day 1 of pre-orders... What the hell are they waiting for!?

Same here. I have pre-orders through BestBuy and Futureshop. Both indicate that they've charged my CC, but neither has shipped. As I also pre-ordered on the first possible day, I really hope to have the system tomorrow...particularly since they've already taken my money.

So I called BB. The rep said that my order (PS4) is "awaiting pick up" by Canada Post. So it's ready to go, but still not out for shipment... Speaking from experience, that usually means it will be picked up at like 11pm... Sometimes it gets there the next day... Here's to really hoping they don't screw this up! I really wish they'd start the shipping process a little earlier, put our minds at ease.
 
My PS4 expected delivery date is the 18th. Not day one, but KZ is coming tomorrow. I thought about cancelling my web order and going to the store that has midnight launch and just get one.

Just to point out, if anybody fails to get their PS4 Day 1 orders. Totally YMMV on finding stock, but RCSS is doing no tax on the 16th, and SDM is doing 20x points on the 16th as well. Should you feel the need to seek stores that didn't seem to take preorders AFAIK.

Yea see, I'm "lucky" enough to be in Quebec. No midnight launches here, and I'm not super keen on getting up early enough to get in line for the 8am launch :/

EDIT: Typical BB/FS these days. My console has now been picked up for shipping, I have a tracking # (although it isn't live yet) but once again no shipping email. My friend got his email, which is what prompted me to check my order on the website. Ah anyway, I'm so ridiculously jazzed for tomorrow morning!

Comparing to previous game pre-orders from BB, everything seems on track on the shipping side... Fingers crossed I'll be holding my new PS4 around 9am... I need to sleep now so I can actually enjoy it tomorrow!

I got mine around 9:30 at my door :) Had some issues at first. If you're getting a No Signal message on your screen, try turning it off (the TV) and on again... Sounds silly, but I found out this worked after a lot of frustration!

What you can do (for next time) is keep an eye on the tracking page for your order. Once it says it's out for delivery, you go hang out by your mailbox, and let the delivery man come to you ;) I had to leave the microphone code taped in my mailbox to get the postman to call when he comes by so I can go downstairs and pick it up. I never miss a package anymore!

So Need for Speed Rivals (PS4) is now listed as in-stock, and yet my order still hasn't shipped. What's the point in pre-ordering these games if they're going to take forever to ship? I'm thinking I'll just head to a Future Shop, pick both games up when my PS4 arrives on Monday, then return the pre-ordered copies.

I got all my games other than Need for Speed last week, and NfS came in the mail today. Of course I have yet to receive a single shipping notice from them. But I do have all my games now.

EDIT: Btw, this is the best NfS I have ever played. And it does have quite a few features that make you really feel like you're playing a next gen game :)

I didn't get a shipping notification for AssFlag, so I checked my order status online; FS indicates that it shipped late last week, and the Canada Post tracking number indicates that it was delivered on Friday. And yet, here I am, still with no game... :S

I was referring to Friday's games being released. Zelda/Super Mario 3D World/Mario Party and to a lesser extent, Xbox One.

Call Canada Post and Future Shop asap. I had this happen to me and as it turned out FS sent it to the wrong address (I'm 96, they sent it to 95).

 
I've been getting shipping notices for everything so far, and I don't have an email about the Friday games yet.



I was getting everything up until PS4 happened. While I did thankfully receive the console on time, not a single one of the 6 games I ordered arrived when they were supposed to. All of them listed as "out of stock" and were delayed (wtf is the point of a preorder??), even though stores had stock.

Now with Mario and Zelda, not only have they not shipped, but they're just sitting there with the status saying "In Stock". I'll have to pick them up in store if I want them today, and then return my mailed copies with my store receipt whenever they decide to get around to actually shipping them, just so I can still keep the E3 deal overall. It's an easy work around, but still a pain in the ass. Aside from the E3 deal I'll never preorder anything from these guys online.
 
Similar issue at the moment, none of the Xbox One games I preordered have been shipped.

The Xbox One did ship, but the ETA is Monday. Even if it does show up today, I have nothing to play unless I use that same work around.

 
I guess I never really expected individual games to arrive on release day. I did expect it for the PS4 because that was one of the early pre-order promises (and it did arrive on launch day), but with games I usually get them a day or two later. It's usually fine, but I can see it being disappointing for console launch games, or for a game like a portable Zelda before a weekend of travelling or something. :)

On the "what's the point of a pre-order" point, I've had bad luck with Amazon this year. They cancelled Ys, and I ended up getting Muramasa HD two months (!!!) after the game came out.

 
I just had a little back and forth with FS about this. They've charged me for the items (Mario and Zelda), but still haven't moved the order at all.

Basically they don't give a shit, and told me to let them know if there still hasn't been anything by the 28th. 6 days after release. fuck that, I'll just be picking up in a non-FS store today. I think I'm done with online preorders altogether at this point (have had issues with Amazon as well).
 
When I order an in stock item, I regularly receive it the following day.

I haven't a clue why pre-orders would be any different.

If only Amazon.com extended across borders...

I had better luck before, but it just seems to have really fallen off lately. Another thing I've noticed, and this could just be because of the poor service as of late (or maybe I need a tinfoil hat), is that the only orders I have issues with are those placed with this $20 off deal. I ordered a couple games after the deal was over at full price and received one on the morning of release, and the other 2 days early.

I don't know if they're just more inclined to fill pre-orders that paid regular price before these ones, or what is messed up in their system that's causing this. Either way, enough if enough. Their customer service is completely inept on top of it all, it's just not worth the trouble.

 
I guess one of the perks of living in Quebec, is being able to get my games on release day. I just wish they were giving the chest with the pre-orders.

 
An update, Xbox One received. Both Ryse and DR3 shipped on Friday. Sucks, but what can you do? (kindly read below for a solution). Tearaway showed up! :D

I really wanted Zoo Tycoon on Day One, but being spoiled with this E3 deal, I rarely buy games full price, so I kept waiting for a deal, far too long. Wednesday night, I realized I'd be paying full price. I decide to pre-order at FS, and hoped it would arrive Day One. An hour later, I had an epiphany. I used the SHOP.CA deal that dtrader69 posted to get KZ and Knack last week (shipped that day, KZ showed up the day after the order, Knack the day following). A $10 coupon and a 20% rebate (through Ebates.ca), effectively make a $60 game, $40. So, I put in the order, intending to return the SHOP.CA copy at FS, to save $20. The SHOP.CA copy showed up on Friday. The FS copy SHIPPED on Friday. As long as the deal holds up and new games get added, I'll be going with this option in the future. I might get burned in the future if games take way longer, but thus far I'm impressed.

TL;DR

Check dtrader69's post. SHOP.CA's $10 coupon plus the 20% Ebates.ca offer match the E3 deal on $60 games, without that pesky "Order 3". And they ship more quickly, in my experience.

 
Oh my. I didn't even look at reviews before ordering. Feedback isn't good, customer service seems abysmal. That's good to know.

I'm going to keep tempting fate until they wrong me.

Reading reviews of Watch_Dogs that're coming in now, and one comment in Joystiq's article saying his pre-order for the game from this E3 deal was cancelled. True? 

 
Mine was shipped last evening.  Keep an eye on the credit card info used in your order, mine was expiring and had to update my preorder (still have Bayonetta 2).
