Dragon Age: Inquisition - E3 TRAILER

Yeah I'm really looking forward to Inquisition. Glad they have the action and tactical view, DA:I will have a mix of DA1 (Origins) and DA2, something Bioware did with ME3.

Regarding the DA Keep, from Fernando Melo ....
@ChubbyNinja1319 we'll have more news later on - aiming for before DAI ships, but exact date still tbc

Yeah, I asked him when we should expect the Keep to go live for everyone. That was his response.

I hope it launches a little before the game so we can prepare our save states.

New trailer, featuring Mass Effect's Samantha Traynor (Alix Wilton Regan) as one of our female Inquisitor voice options.

Interestingly, David Gaider confirmed on BSN that romances are not "player-sexual" this time around. Each character that can be romanced has specific preferences for gender and race that they will or won't go for. Which to me seems like the better choice in terms of allowing for consistent characterization. But be aware if you have a specific romance option in mind in advance.

Yeah, I think it's a good way to do it, as it forces you to try other character combos to experience those outcomes. I was disappointed to hear that Sera is gay-only, but I get the reason for their decision and am looking forward to how it shapes her character.

Oh, really? :( That's news to me, and I guess it scuttles my plan to get with her.

Well now I have a decision to make. Roll a female Inquisitor instead for Sera, or just roll a male char and let the chips fall where they may. I'm sure I'll end up doing both anyway so it's really a question of what route I want to do first.

Yup. I've actually never played a female in a Bioware game :O . I'm really looking forward to multiple voice options too.

Yeah, me neither. Nothing against Femshep, I just really identify with the stock male Shepard. He's a bloody icon. 😉

in Dragon Age, though, my Fem Hawke was a badass rogue. I liked playing as her.

Yeah Jennifer Hales voice work shouldn't be missed, top notch.

Awesome DA:I sounds like Bioware is learning lol. My god though this game looks badass.

I'm glad they could get Alix Regan back, as I did really like her VO work for Samantha Traynor. She almost made my femShep drift from Liara who she was faithful with through the entire trilogy.

I do like that change that there are specific pairings that will get specific romance options to happen. Would expand playability, I think, since there are multiple races + multiple genders, right?

You'll do both, you know you will. ;) As if a single playthrough is possible for you and a Bioware game.

I love Mark Meer too, but you guys are really missing out if you haven't tried a badass Renegade fem Shepard.
Agreed without question. By ME3, Meer was doing a little better for VO than Hale, though I think Renegade works best with a femShep and Paragon best with a Sheploo.

Have to agree with you there, and it's starting me to think about a X1 for this game since we don't have anything transferable between DA: O, Awakenings and DA2 on the 360.

I think I'll use this article to cool off a bit. Hoo boy, I am gonna tear Cassandra a new one.

Another great character in Cassandra. I can't wait to hear my man Varric pick away at her.

I honestly can't believe all the E3 awards this game won! I knew it would be a big game, but I didn't expect this level of universal praise.

Great news IMO. I remember when he was first announced for Mass Effect 3, and fans were reacting negatively, oh it's that washed-up guy from lame '90s romantic comedies or whatever, then they released that initial interview video and the temperature instantly changed, it was like, wow, this guy GETS IT, he actually knows the franchise and seems super passionate about it.

I did like his characterization of Vega.  But, who knew FPJ would be one of Bioware's stable of talent?  I believe he's a gamer and he gets bonus credit for wearing that cool renegade shirt.  I think 'the Bull' is going to be a lively and vocal character to have in your party based on the dialogue in the video.

Now, we just need to figure out a way to have more people in your party at a time!  I want to hear Iron Bull and Varric gang up on Vivienne or Cassandra.

Looks like the Inquisitors edition is sold out. It's an online only, gamestop exclusive. Whoever speculated that this could be rare might be correct. Who would have thought it would have sold out at $170 a pop?

Lots of dumb people with more disposable income than the people in here.

It was such a random assortment of items that didn't make sense as a "CE" type package. Regardless, it's a done deal and unless someone in here ordered one, it's not something we need to worry about.

I'd be surprised if we didn't see more of them before release time.

Dorkian has one and only one chance to be part of my inquisition crew. He MUST twirl his mustachio and say "hur hur!" Enthusiastically at my characters comments.

Handlebar mustache, ugh. This dude is never going to see the light of day in my game.
Oof...well, there is always at least one dud in the team. The thing is, he will probably have some really awesome side quests attached to his character so we'll be forced to use him at some point.

Oh look it's Freddie Mercury Dorian!
Okay, if he sings Another One Bites the Dust as he fights Darkspawn, he's in. Soul patch and all.

I've been calling him Pringles ever since he popped up in earlier videos, and I'm sticking with it.

He's an insta-lock into my squad. He and Cassandra are my only two for-sures, so far.

Oh I guess I'm just a sucker for Bioware. I know, abusive relationship. :(

But as an owner of the ME 1 CE, which I sold used 5 years later for triple what I paid for it new, figures it was an OK investment.

[ME 1 CE was also GS.com exclusive.]

Heh.  Just found this and now I know what squad members I want to choose from....

Ahhh, a boy can dream.

It's funny.  I miss having special DLC with things like this....but at the same time, we used to bitch about unique DLC with things like this if you didn't want to purchase the guide, controller, whatever.

Still, I'm preordering the LE guide.  Gott have it.

Ditto. I just hope it'll go down to the lower 20s for price once it releases, though there have been some LE guides that didn't get any cheaper than $26-27 when they released.
