I know BFG has already happened but I just finished the last match in the Wolves/Hardys/3D series last night.  If you didn't see any of the matches, particularly the last one, you missed out on the best series of matches since MCMG/ Beer Money.  Absolutely worth tracking down.

Team 3D

1. Put them in the hall of fame even though 1 hasn't worked for you under contract in a few years and the other has expired and is working per show.

2.  Fly them to Japan

3.  Feature them heavily on the show

4. Allow them to promote the competition of the company who is hosting your 3 hour Team 3D fiesta.

Yep, sounds so incredibly TNA of them.

Also not booking your contracted talent - including the goddamn champion - for your Wrestlemania equivalent.

I turned off my auto renew after getting that email. My six months isnt up until Feb, but if the commercials get too annoying (Hulu annoying) I wont renew it. At $10 a month though, an occasional ad before I watch something wont kill me.

Yeah got this email too.

Here's what you can expect:

• No commercial breaks during scheduled programming

• Limited advertising between shows

• Occasional advertising before our video-on-demand content
i would rather see commericals during ppv instead of stupid promos .

wonder if they offered this what people would pick

The way it is now for 14.99 or 19.99 a month. or with ads for 9.99 a month

If it's like Hulu Plus, then I can live with it. 15-30 seconds of commercials is still better than 2-4 minutes of commercials on live TV.

I wonder how commercial interruptions work during PPV's though.

Speaking of Hulu Plus, I am catching up on NXT (now I know who EC3 was before TNA) and for some reason they skipped

June - August 2012 of NXT which is where they stopped doing challenges and transitioned to the format where it is now.  Even finding them on Youtube is difficult. It's still a fun show though; for the longest time it was the same matches over and over. It still has more energy than many Raw segments as of late.

And about Ambrose, I'm enjoying this push as much as I can. Basically in the same optimism I had with Cesaro for those weeks after WM30 where it looked like he was actually going somewhere.

I cant take it if its like Hulu Plus. I dont mind them at the start of the program, but once they start showing up DURING the show thats just being greedy.

Went to Hogan's Beach Shop in Clearwater Beach FL. I of course bought the most Hulk Hogan related things they sold in the store.

Opening segment had way too much fourth wall leaning from the oh-so-cool Authority. Triple threat tag had some fun moments. Could've done without the tag champs looking like chumps in there, but I'm glad WWE didn't also give Cena and Dean the tag titles. Then they went ahead and gave away the one announced PPV match to set up a definitive match on the PPV between someone and Rollins, while "the other guy" got Orton as per a backstage bit. Divas tag was short and not great. Paige's ass was a highlight, shockingly. I figured Dolph-Orton would be a squash, but when they started with the collar and elbow, it was clear we were getting a major match. Despite this being between Orton and a champion in Dolph, this wasn't announced beforehand. It was just a match that came up for no real reason. It's a real shame too since they had a PPV-level match that exceeded Orton-Jericho, and was Dolph's best PPV match since his World title run over a year ago.

Seth and Swagger's match struggled for a long time, but the last five or so minutes were really good. They had a lot of cool stuff then, and it all led to a counter cradle getting the win. Shame Swagger ate an RKO and looked like a chump alongside Dolph, but the guys were at least given a chance to shine in the ring. Loved Dean and Renee's backstage bit - Dean quoting AC/DC wasn't just amusing, it made me think he should have "Highway to Hell" as his theme, or a knockoff. Show-Rusev was pretty great. Loved 'MERICA winning the war 2-on-1 here. VIVA LA BULLYING! I'm amazed Henry didn't turn, but glad to see it - they're doing a slow burn, and can do it with him and very few else. Miz-Sheamus was nothing, but the pre-match Chrisley promo was amusing thanks to the blowjob guy behind him. The Total Divas tag wasn't anything as a match, but entertaining due to King absolutely burying Nene's accomplishments by laughing as they were read, then JBL buried stupid Total Divas storylines, and Brie won after some bad offense to Summer and Nikki.

"From the Corporation in 1999 to The Authority in 2014!" Yup - nothing's really changed in 15 years. Main event wasn't much beyond the awesome bit at the end with Dean winning via "you can't see me" face motion. This set up two really good PPV matches, and we got a really good Orton-Dolph match alongside some good matches and very little bad - best Raw in a while.

Cesaro on commentary...yeeeeeeesh.  He made his point about 30 seconds in and then had nothing.

Enjoyed the show other than that and the main event...seemed to get to the ending shenanigans entirely too early and they missed Ambrose actually pulling the contract down.

Ring announcer Justin Roberts is gone from the WWE. They didn't renew his contract.

I'm stunned that they let him go. Who else can say "JYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHN CEEEEEEEEEEEEENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" as good as he can?

Holy crap @ the Justin Roberts news. He was the voice of WWE. There's only three people that should ever be on the arena mic: Lillian Garcia, Justin Roberts, and Howard Finkel. I'm interested to see who they choose as a replacement, if anyone. Wouldn't be surprised if Roberts is already in Nashville and waiting for TNA offices to open.

WWE.com announced Brie vs. Nikki at HIAC in a match where the loser becomes the winner's "bitch" for a month. That's sure to lead to some thrilling television segments!

$60 for the game, $25 for the season pass, and another $19 for the other DLC.  Pass until it's all on sale/cheap.  The story modes are fairly ridiculous to me as that has always been on the disc in all other iterations of the game and I'd bet that they are on the disc and you're paying for the unlocks.

The DLC sounds cool but having to spend over $100 for the complete experience is bullshit. As someone who has the Hulkamania Edition preordered already this shit is too expensive. I'm not going to buy any DLC until I confirm the game isn't shit lol.

I'm just going to stick with the main game. If all of the DLC doesn't come when on the season pass, I don't see a point in bothering with the DLC.

I was at Terminal 5 the other night for a concert...seems like an odd venue for wrestling.   You could probably jump from the balcony to the ring.  Certainly won't be a bad seat in the house either.

I am unsure if I want the game now. I'll probably wait until it hits dirt cheap, so I can get the DLC to play as Emma. If the season pass has all the stuff in it, I may get it sooner.

Seriously.

The DLC stuff has really soured me on the game and I may just cancel my pre-order. I understand adding additional characters, but some of them (like Paige as DLC) just don't make any damn sense.

Exactly. Paige is damn DLC. Adam Rose is too, I think.

I don't mind DLC if it actually contains content...this just sucks.

TNA  Impact 10-15-14

The opening bit to set up the 4 way went on a bit too long in theory, but only took seven minutes and teased Lashley-Angle and had some amusing quips from Taz. Team 3D HOF recap killed time and furthered their bargaining power since they're still actively on TNA TV despite no longer being under contract. Havok-Rayne wasn't very good, but told a fine story. Madison's new booty shorts were a nice attire change. Havok's chokeslam being given a wacky name is needless. EY's promo was stupid and confusing. Matt Hardy-Magnus was set up with a funny backstage bit and turned out to be a very good little match. Magnus-Matt was worth going out of your way to see since it's short, but highlight-filled. Matt took a powerbomb on the post, the apron, and won with a mid-air Twist in his best TV singles match in ages. Wish he hadn't done stupid shit though given his drug problems.

Menagerie-BroMans/Love was a fun comedy match. Loved loved loved the EC3/Tyrus promo. These two have fantastic chemistry together, and that's a very pleasant surprise. Brodus as a serious act works better for this setting to help make this seem more like just another WWE castoff doing his greatest hits since he really didn't have that gimmick in WWE. He can make more money on the indies, and save his body from some damage, doing that act on the indies, and then do the serious stuff on a national stage for a change. Tyrus-Shark Boy was bad, but I kind of like Shark Boy's old, fat guy gimmick. Tag title series recap was great, but the cyber Wolves video sucked. They announced an 8-team tourney and that's it. Main event was a fine spotfest when everyone was in, but became a damn good wrestling match when it was just Roode and Aries - despite them having very little time to really work. They had maybe five minutes and used that time to have a great closing sequence - like a Japanese main event where everything else was good-to-great, but built to some amazing stuff that was just better in every way. Everything but the finish was crisp, and even that being a bit wonky worked since it sold how important the match and the title shot was. I loved the scene at the end with all the faces holding their arms high and celebrating the match itself - it would've made for a fine final impact moment.

Regarding the WWE 2K15 DLC, yeah, the pricing sucks, and I really hate that not everyone's included with the season pass, but I'm sure I'll end up getting everything eventually.

For those of you looking to cancel your preorder, there's a digital deluxe edition on PSN for $79.99 that has the game and the season pass. It's a little cheaper than going the separate route, and it includes Hogan and Sting. I think I'm sticking with my Hulkamania edition though.. I want the pop vinyl and the piece of mat.

WAY too much Team 3D stuff, which I'm surprised wasn't trimmed down since they just used the show as a way to try and get a GFW/NJPW gig. The HOF came off as so low-end with Bully in a knock-off Affliction shirt and Devon in an unironed, untucked button-down. YOU'RE GETTING INDUCTED TO A HALL OF FAME, at least attempt to dress up in something beyond a casual stroll to 7-11. The W-1 tag was quite good, as was the X Title match. Team 3D's match wasn't good, but was still better than the main event. It was way too short a match for a main event in theory, but was already bad and just poorly laid-out. Velvet's match got over huge, and I could see her becoming a regular in W-1 since she was one of hte most popular acts on the show. Muta's lack of reaction was astonishing, and really sad. Hogan's final match at least got a good reaction at BFG, and this crowd should be conditioned to like him (and granted it's not his last match) but they were SILENT beyond two guys chanting Mu-ta.
I was able to watch BFG yesterday and actually agree with most of these points. When what has traditionally been the biggest show of the year looks like just another house show, that is an incredible letdown. It was especially disappointing considering how entertaining the majority of the NYC tapings were this summer. If BFG is a precursor of things to come then TNA is doomed. Here's hoping they can recover from that abysmal show.

There's something really off about the proportions between the 3 of them even though the heights seem right.

Reminds me of the odd out of scale Umaga and Sean O'Haire models from years' past.

I don't know.. I don't mind the models, I think they look great, and I love that they used actual "We're here!" footage. Their entrances remind me of the old Smackdown 1 and 2 entrances.. but I guess there's really nowhere else for the camera to go considering everything else is dark.

But man, that crowd. That crowd is awful. When the lights come up and Bray stands out of his chair, almost complete silence. Who is he, Rob Conway during the "Just look at me!" gimmick? The crowd is completely dead. The sound doesn't match the movement of the crowd when he gets in the ring. They're all super excited and cheering, yet the sound is booing. Weird.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EN0kbUq_rTY

Also, I'm sure models in the past have done it before, but it was really noticable how they smiled, blinked, etc. Makes the game feel much more alive in comparison to past years.

I wonder if I'll be able to edit entrances and have the camera focus on them from the side as they walk down the aisle. Love that shot.

From Jericho's new book:

While on a plane, McMahon made a snide remark to Kingston, saying, “maybe one day you’ll get over.” Jericho wrote about Kingston looking visibly infuriated, and catching up with Kingston upon departing the plane. Jericho told Kingston to return to McMahon, and challenge him to a fight. At first, Kingston seemed to think everything was one big rib. Though, with Jericho having built a close relationship to McMahon, he knew McMahon, a man with great seriousness, was not joking.

Kingston would heed Jericho’s advice, asking McMahon if he had a problem with him. The two would throw verbal jabs each other’s way, eventually leading to a physical collision. It began when, out of nowhere, McMahon attempted a double leg takedown of Kingston. The two then proceeded to wrestle around for a bit.

No, Vince isn't crazy at all.

Is that the incident that led to the Kofi/Orton scenario a few years back? If so, Kofi needs to go back and fight someone because that was some good stuff.
