You're choices make very little differences (mainly just slight differences in dialogue)... I'd get it on whichever console you prefer

There should be. Not that I'm one to beg for free games, but when this thing has happened multiple times in the past month or two, ontop of the fact there seems to be a account/info breach again (Saw a huge textfile with tons of account info and credit card info to Sony and other sites), Sony really needs to step their shit up

I never said it was a huge breach. But a breach is still a breach, especially when they had the same shit happen to them before.

And for the outage, they should atleast comp us PS+ time back. 3 days of extremely sporadic network is stupid, and being totally unable to play certain games ontop of that because of their requirements regarding outside servers.

9 accounts is not a breach. That's malware on individual computers getting that info. Not sure why you'd blame Sony for that.

I was able to play it yesterday when I wasn't signed in(still can't sign in) but it took a few minutes for the game to start. I pressed play and it sat there doing nothing until eventually it took me to the main menu.
 
What about Defense Grid 2 makes it worthy of being a $25 digital only game? I bought the first one on sale for 360 and liked it fine, but that seems like an insane price for the new one. Even at 50% off it makes me hesitate.

 
If they do give away games for the outage, they really should give them to everyone or maybe to people who sign up for ps+ within the first 24 hours of it being back up. I know it's not Sony's fault but a lot of people who just got a PS4 for Christmas are the ones who are going to be the most pissed off about it.

Yes, you can play games offline, but it's also like dangling a carrot in front of all these new users and the more time goes by the more upset they will be. A 12-year old doesn't care about the reason. They just want to play with their Christmas present. I've already seen Tweets about people who are saying their taking their PS4 back and getting an Xbox One since Live is up.

That may be an empty threat but the longer this goes on, the more that becomes a realistic possibility for newbies.

Live was down awhile ago, but it was restored before PSN. You can Google it to see that Lizard took down PSN & Live. M$ is just better when it comes to online services, not surprising though.
 
I was just able to log-in and purchased The Walking Dead PS4 on my PS4 just now.  The webstore is up and running, but I couldn't log-in on my laptop.  So if any of you want to purchase some of those Flash Sale games, you should give it a try now.

Is the PS4 version at least a bit more graphically? I'm assuming it's a direct port..... Probably just get it on my PS4 to save space on my vita.

I like to own all my games physical but at this price I won't complain.

 
Will Sony extend everybody's PS+ memberships by 2 days because of this DDoS crap? Honest question - I am assume not, I am just curious how they will handle this.

Seriously, we all know that Sony's not going to reimburse us or anything for a few days of downtime that happened because somebody decided to DDoS them. If they're still down by next year, then maybe, but they're not going to care about a few days' worth. I doubt they'd even extend the week's sales, so you all better be ready to buy whatever you want this week as soon as the store comes back up, just in case.

That's why you have just one level a day, so you can play it, figure out better routes, and try to get some great runs in for leaderboards and completing quests. At it's core, it's an endless runner, so it's never going to be easy.

 
Just so people know, the leaked account info above is ancient information that was posted a few years ago on the internet, so it doesn't affect anybody with decent account security tools for anything they do online.

Because we are entitled to what we paid for. For PS4 you have to pay for PS+ to go online, and for the past two days I haven't been able to use what I paid for.

A lot of entitled and sensitive-offended people just starting coming out. Why you think Happy Holidays is more important than Merry Christmas now than it is in the 80s/90s? Or why did Sony finally caved to North Korea's demands to remove The Interview until they pulled a 180?

Anyway, I hope the flash sale gets extended. Really want to buy Defense Grid 2 but then again, it might become a PS+ free game sometime next year.

 
I just don't get why they don't put more digital only/arcade titles on sale, along with more DLC. MS is guilty of the same exact thing. They focus mainly on retail releases and then throw a few arcade style games in there, if your lucky. There are an absolute BOATLOAD of digital/arcade titles and DLC that never gets put on sale. All in all, a pretty disappointing holiday sale thus far.

So what do you want, Sony to refund your 26 cents for 2 days of not being able to get on PS+? Is 26 cents really that important to you? Yes, you paid for the service for those 2 days, but this wasn't Sony's doing and your only talking 26 cents. There is being a total cheapskate and then there is the abyss, which some people have clearly fallen into.

$1.00? Try 26 cents. PS+ would have to be down for roughly 8 days to reach $1.00. So basically you have people complaining about 26 cents, lol. Its cheapskate at a level rarely seen, even on the internet.

Actually, if you want to be super precise. $49.99 divided by 365 equals .137 or 13.7 cents per day. So it would actually take 7.3 days to reach $1.00, and thats for the people that paid full price for their PS+ membership. A lot of people purchased their membership for less than $49.99.

...Actually, my PS wallet does in fact happen to be about 20 cents shy of a purchase I was planning to make when the store comes back up, so if they added 26 cents to my wallet I wouldn't have to add the $5 minimum to cover it.

So, yeah, that would actually be kind of nice.

 
PSN's functionality has been restored partially today. I just uploaded my save data & synced trophy information. However, I cannot use the friends app or store on the Vita.

Its all good. I wasn't harping on you. I was just showing how cheap it really is. In all honesty, if people are going to make a stink over 27 cents, they shouldn't even be gaming on consoles. They should be on PC's as they can save 50-100 times that amount on most retail game purchases alone.

I am hoping for some freebie from Sony for this downtime. I'm frustrated that I can't actually play Destiny on my PS4 now that I have some time off but really I just want something for free. They can give me Child of Light if they want since I missed that whole sale.

On the bright side, I did get to play GTA5 on PS4. I was driving an 18 wheeler and some guy yelled "Stop that guy! He stole my bike!"

So I chased down the bicycle thief and ran him over with the tractor trailer. Then I shot him in the back as he tried to run away.

Ah, memories that last a lifetime.

 
It's not entirely accurate to divide the cost of PS+ by a year.   The average person does not have the time for real dedicated gaming every day of the week with work and obligations.  Really its more accurate to say 1-2 days a week during the year given jobs and other responsibilities.  Christmas week is an exception for many though being it is the most popular week for vacation usage or paid time off.  Because of that the value of lost gaming time this week is much worse than perhaps any week of the year.
