:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Thoughts on buying vanilla Peggle 2 or should I get the bundle?
I don't know if there will be more dlc but right now there are only two characters that cost $2 each and three costume packs that cost $1 each so it's cheaper to buy the vanilla version and all the dlc.

Yay Danganronpa 2! I might also bite on Ground Zeroes for that price, because why not. Gotta finish Peace Walker first though.... Gonna be busy this Christmas break, I think.

Question-does the 14 day trial of FFa Realm Reborn start from when you download or first go into the game? I assume you have to start the game for 14 days to start but I just wanted to double check.

I may be down for MGS: Ground Zeroes on PS3 for $6.80 ... since there's really nothing else I want from the list that I don't already own. So much for PS1/PS2 games... I guess the PS Blog folks weren't telling the truth or it's going to be a separate sale.
I already beat the main mission of MGS on the ps3, and just bought the ps4 version. Hope to do all the side missions this time. It is definitely worth that price. Hope remote play works well with it.

Regarding the blog, they were fibbing, it was too good to be true. One person called them out on it last week during the week 3 sales announcement and they responded saying, it wasn't a guarantee, but that things could happen or something along those lines. Complete BS.

Does anyone who still plays bf4 know if the servers are populated enough to warrant a purchase of the premium bundle?

Am I just blind or are there absolutely no PSNbucks cards on the sony store right now?   I know some denominations come and go but I've never seen it just not there before.

So if I'm getting BF4 premium for Xmas, I should sell it and buy the premium bundle? Will I lose all my saves if they were from a physical copy?

Downloaded Resogun for Vita, since I got the PS4 version free with PS+, and the game won't launch. "Error: Unable to validate full game". Guess they're having problems with the licensing right now, oh well.
Here's what I believe is the solution for that :

Go to the store on the website. Add Resogun PS3, Resogun Vita and Resogun PS4 to the cart together. Purchase them all again (for free). That I believe removes the authenitcation problem from the Vita version

If BF4 is like any other game, your saves should remain for use regardless of whether you're playing the disc or the downloadable copy of the game.

Is the Resogun cross-buy such that because I owned it on PS+ I got the Vita / PS3 version, and claiming the PS3 / Vita versions means that I now own it permanently for the PS4? I don't have a PS4 and I have no idea how to check that. When I go to Account Management -> Media on the SEN site and then find Resogun for the PS4 and select it, rather than just saying the purchase date and expiration date, it has 2 tabs. Both tabs have the purchase date, but only one has an expiration date. However, I'm pretty sure it's no that one is the a trial and one is a unlock key, as I see those separated for other games I've gotten with PS+.

Do they still have decent sales on PSP/PS1 games? Bought a PSP and $30 PSN credit but I'm not sure if I should wait for sales or not.

I want that Outlast DLC, but I'd rather wait for the DLC alone to go on a half-off sale since I have the PS+ original game.  I'll probably pick up TWD S1 & 2 to upgrade from my 360 versions.  I think I'll wait for Temple of Osiris to go cheaper.

I'm gonna get Walking Dead 1 and 2... already played them on PS3 but that is a great price and I love them. I'm also going to get Borderlands season pass for PS4, I really liked the first episode. I wish TWAU was on sale, too.

Anyone having trouble getting into the Playstation Store on the web?  Not loading properly for me at all, unstable connections with errors,  can't do much there at all.  I guess North Korea is DDOSing again, pissed that Sony is actually releasing The Interview.  What idiots!

There haven't been any for a while now. A month or more ago, there was a $20 card that was listed as "Discontinued". I spoke with Sony chat about it and they just wanted to send me links to places where I "could" buy cards, just not from them. Go figure....

It wasn't loading for me awhile ago. The only other time when it doesn't load is during those childish DDoS attacks. One has to be the lowest scumbags on Earth to disrupt gamers on Christmas day.

Does anyone know how much of an impact the choices in Walking Dead season 1 make in season 2? I played season 1 on ps3 and would rather not have to buy and play again.

Same here. It just keeps saying loading.

Barely. I'm a huge TWD fan and it makes almost no difference. Just changes a few lines here and there.

When I tried to log in earlier, I couldn't get on and got a "Playstation Network is undergoing Maintenance" notice... But pretty sure it's not maintenance. On twitter, the Playstation and Ask Playstation accounts said they've gotten reports and are looking into it.

rumor is another lizard squad attack on both psn and xbox live.

anyway.

Questions --

1) I've tried to get through TWD S1 twice.  The first time on pc but my pc couldn't handle it.  The second time I made it through E1 on my ps3, before getting sidetracked by an actual game.

Now... I really enjoy TWD.  I've been reading the comics since the month it came out, and I love the show too.  Should I just buckle up, hunker down, buy both on PS4 and force my way through them?   Worth it?

2) Is Defense Grid 2 worth the $12?  I did love the first one, but... that just seems so steep (let alone the MSRP).   Is it better than the first, or, at least, as good as the first?

3) Differences between peggle 1 and 2?  I loved the first...

Basically, I'm trying to talk myself out of buying all of these even though I want them... because I want them, but I think perhaps saving my monies for a better sale is the way to go.

This is how you do a special edition PS4 if you're just going to stick to the stupid glossy part.

http://kotaku.com/sony-celebrates-yakuza-zero-with-tattooed-ps4s-1674437779

I pulled out my PS4 last week to swap the HDD and nothing but my hand has every touched that part since it went into the entertainment center at launch and it was still all scratched to hell.

So far I've only played the beta on Steam but man it was every bit as addicting to me as the first game. Was missing everything but a couple maps to test out and I was still playing those maps over and over trying to figure out how to get through them without losing cores. Seems like it's still fairly minimal on presentation and focused purely on the gameplay but I don't think that would bother you. Basically it seemed like more of the first game which is what I want.

It depends. They're totally great, engaging, emotional experiences and are worth playing. But if you weren't into them to the extent that you think you'll have to "force your way through them", then what's the point?

On a side note, though, the second season is a lot more story and action-oriented and less "point and click adventure"-y... So if you're struggling with the slower pace of figuring out the puzzles in the first season, you might dig it more once you get past that.

The PS4 versions should at least be the most polished versions of the first two seasons out there.

DG2 is definitely better, both visually and has more in it with co-op and competitive multiplayer.

Peggle 2 is more of the same thing with mostly new masters.

Should I just buckle up, hunker down, buy both TWDs on PS4 and force my way through them? Worth it?
First, let me just say, I've only played through season 1 and the 400 days DLC on PS3 so that is the extent of my experience with the series. It's always difficult for me to recommend this game to anyone because it was such a polarizing experience for me when I played it. It's story, from the second chapter onward, is great and is on par with the TV series in many ways. For this reason only, I stuck with it through to the end.

Make no mistake, season one is little more then a interactive movie with choose your own adventure gimmicks thrown in for good measure. However, if your a fan of TWD, and it sounds like you are, you owe it to yourself to at least give it a shot.

My advice, play/watch the first chapter in one sitting and then immediately afterwards play a twitchy arcade game to cleanse your palate. Set everything aside and come back to it another day. Repeat the same process again for chapter two. If by the end of the second chapter you still don't feel compelled to finish the game then you have your answer.

DO NOT watch the "next time on The Walking Dead" previews that automatically start playing at the end of every chapter because it's rife with spoilers.

Played some Race the Sun and that's a pretty cool game. It's sort of an endless runner where you're given three tasks to try to complete over one or many runs, but the major catch is that there is just one level per day that gives you a chance to memorize good paths and routes to take so that you can get better. Completing those tasks feeds into a leveling system that unlocks new abilities, ship upgrades, modes, and such.

Escape Goat 2 also seems like a good puzzle platformer. I'm still early in it right now having completed the first three paths of levels, but it's fun so far.

Nidhogg looks neat but I'm not sure if I'm going to pick it up.  Really don't see myself playing it with anyone and I'm not sure how much of the magic it looks like it would have would be there against the computer.
